How I saved $10,000s by putting an 9 inch lift on my old pop up camper. Now I can take it off road. The is a 1984 Viking Little Gasser.
$199 2000 lbs axle from Northern Tool and Equipment.
$40 axle flip kit from Amazon.
$20 1' by 3' by 2" angle iron
$15 grade 8 bolts, nuts, and washers

Timbren independent suspension is very handy on tougher trails. That weak axle tube will get in the way until it’s bent and/or broken. For the money you did add a lot of functionality to the pop up.
I'm a similar route. I'm too old for the crawling up on a roof. And prefab overland trailers are too pricey. Thanks for sharing. Your work looks great
Thanks for the ideas. I’m thinking of doing something very similar to my pop up.
i'd love to see some updates on this trailer as you work on it. Lets see that bad boy hooked up and set up
I took have a Viking ❤ looking to do the same thing
I have the same 1984 Viking Little Gasser I can’t remember how to pop it up can you Please do a video on how to pop it up. Thank You
I want to do the same thing where did you get your axle I thought you only needed to get a block to put it underneath but that would only lift in only lifting two inches with the blocks
What size tire/wheel did you go up to?
