Came out great. What you built was a coffin, and a casket is rectangular shaped. Gave me a much better idea on my build for this year’s Halloween

If I was going to make this for someone for real , I would call this the Wild West design like in the old western movies , I like it. 👍

The coffin is a good job not been critical the shoulders are slightly wide 28 " to out side head and feet 12" and 6 ft 6 " long and 20" high with lid on from out side this will give you a tight tidy coffin and stop you corpse rolling sideways during transportation and easy to lift for the pollbarers It important wen building a coffin you consider those that are carrying it that you don't brake shoulder or backs.if you want you could kerff bend the sides by cutting 12 notches 3/4 ways down and with a gas torch but be careful better do it outside you would heat the wood both sides around the notches and it will bend easer but do not make 13 notches this is regarded in the trade as bad luck it represents Jesus And the twelve apostles but one was Judas .you will really need two people to build a toe pincher coffin. Now put on your rope handles make Sure the rope don't burn hands and do a nice liner on the inside and you can stuff a pillow with wood shavings. God bless and keep all safe on your projects.
