Using an old npf battery as a mounting point for transmitters is BRILLIANT. BRAVO!!

Try to find AG Neovo screens. They have multiple models that run on 12 Volt. You'd only need a small converter to bring the 16,8 Volt fully charged voltage a bit down to 12 Volt. (and please, do yourself and your equipment a favour and buy a converter from Recom, Murata and other reputable brands and not the Aliexpress stuff). Yes, they are heavy (far more heavy than the usual monitors out there) but they are more rugged, can come with rubber-protected corners, have a metal case ánd can provide a glass layer in front of the screen to protect the vulnerable LCD. The PCB is completely more rugged than any consumer-model out there (I opened mine to find if I could get rid of an annoying sound produced by the backlight power supply). Another plus is the fact they can be adjusted thoroughly with testcards (one can control each individual color from completely zero to full 100%, most consumer-monitors can't). Also contrast and brightness is a completely seperate setting that not only goes from zero to 100%, but also does not interfere with eachother, like it usually does on consumer-monitors. And to top it all: my AG Neovo RX-24, which I got second hand, still beats my newer (also second hand) Iiyama XB3270QS (which I considered the better monitor) when it comes to sRGB capability. Not by much (4 percent or so) but I was surprised such an older screen still performs so well. The fact you didn't get nuts with your V-mount plate has simply to do with the fact that you normally screw this onto equipment that has threads at the right place, and because those threads are in places where you can't reach with a pair of pliers or socket to hold a nut in place, that's why.

This is in my plans of stuff to do ! I wonder is 400nitt 7inch compare to a 22inch 400nit outdoor... I know I love my 2200nit 7inch monitor outdoor, but I wonder if the screen is bigger, can you handle it with less nit ! That battery mount on the back actually look really clean ! I would probably try to see if I can power it internally. How long does a 98Wh battery last with this monitor setup ? Any issue with the weight not being balanced with the battery. You put loctight inside on the bolt ? 3D printer is an option, but you could also have a cheaper setup from a laser cutter. Fitting the curve is a bit more complicated.

I've only used it outdoors in the evening/night and it was fine haha. The good thing about it being wireless is you can move it to the shade right 😉 I used nylon locking nuts for the battery plate. Yes it is a bit heavier on one side when the battery is on, (so tried to balance it with the receiver on the other) Its not enough to make it fall or anything, the arm i recommended (but didn't use myself ) has that rotation adjustment to so even if it leaned a bit you could make it work.

Oh and for this monitor (pretty low powered compared to the others I recomended) I get over 4 hours with a 98wh. To the point where I dont really pay attention haha.

If you show with this on any decent film sets ... you are fired by the safety person (even though it's not really much of a safety issue).
