This video was made 8 years ago, and in terms of video and audio quality, it puts many modern videos to shame. Quick, informative, crystal clear audio, fantastic video quality. It's no surprise you're the Book Binding Queen! :-) Keep it up. I love your videos. I found your channel after searching on how to make my own "field notes" style notebooks. You really get the creative juju flowing!

For about five years now, I've revisited this tutorial every time I get a new notebook without a pocket. You would think I'd remember it by now without help but I am so glad you have kept this video on YT. It's the best video for an accordian pocket I've seen. Thank you so much!

I bought a dotted journal for 2024 and sadly it didn't have a pocket. I am not skilled at DIY crafts but I decided to try this and the pocket I made is actually good! All thanks to your tutorial! Thank you for this video 🫶🏻

This a total game changer. I have decided against purchasing journals in the past that had no pocket and no elastic to keep it closed. Now that I have found your videos I know how to remedy both! Thank you for making all of this look easy and zen!

I have been watching your videos for nearly a month now--yes, I'm late to the party. However, it inspired me to make a book for my daughter for her graduation. I am compiling letters from friends, family, teachers, etc in this book and I am attempting to bind it myself using your tutorials. (I have over 65 people contributing letters to this project!) Many people have emailed me their contributions but some have hand-written their letters. I'll scan them so I can format the pages, but I want her to have the original letters also. This pocket idea may be just the ticket! I'm so glad I found this video!

I'm binding my own sketchbook with Bristol paper because I couldn't find any other sketchbook with that paper around and I found that little pocket SO helpful in my last Moleskine sketchbook. I put a watercolor paper sheet in there to sample colors and stickers that I would want to put in or on my sketchbook, super helpful~

My bujo has perforated pages that have come in handy occasionally. I had a little bleed through on a sheet that I was already a little disappointed in so I removed it and made a grid spacing guide and keep it in my back pocket. I wish I had come across this tutorial before I had set up my latest bujo. It didn’t have a back pocket and I definitely wanted an expandable one. While trying to figure out how to make one, I realized I could tear the one in my new bujo out and glue it into the new one. It worked well but I wasted too much time thinking about making a new one. If I had found this tutorial, I could have made one in the time it took me to carefully tear out the old one. Thank you for sharing your knowledge.

This is the absolute best tutorial for making this pocket =) The only thing I have done differently is added double stick tape then the glue stick. I learned that makes an absolutely lasting bond that will not come off, even with all my fidgeting. Thank you so much! Love your channel. My book covers came out so beautifully using your fuse, glue method, you are the best.

This was exactly what I needed! I found a very inexpensive alternative to the Leuchtturm1917 and this is all it was missing. I also liked that I got to pick a color that coordinates with the notebook's cover. Anyway, I color code the edges of my pages with those little round garage sale stickers so I can find notes quickly. I have been keeping them in my pencil case, but it's inconvenient. Now I have a neat little way to keep them handy. Thanks!

These books are awesome, i made a couple but designed them for my school projects, so each signature has a double sided notes page, graph pages and sketch page, this is a great addition to mine although mine opens at the top and i store an eraser shield, 6 inch ruler 2small triangles and a small circle template. I bring this everywhere for when i actually have an idea
