I think this might be the best installation vid i watched. Everyone does everything so fast and atleast you still show how to take off parts that we cant see in the video. Definetly will be doing this on my m340 since i have this video, Thanks.

I've worked on many many cars over the last 30 years and BMW's for the last few years now. It still amazes me how much junk has to come off to do a simple job! Great video.

Do it but check the forums to see what others have gotten one for. I saw it after I got mine and I could have worked a way better deal. Heck, order one the way you want it.

i ran map 5 on the jb4 for 3 years on my 2017 340 with stock charge pipes. not problemo.

😂 ... and then take this, and then take that off. After removing every part of the motor, just one more pipe in the way 😂😅 So much to remove until you reach the charge pipe.

Do you guys at Kies happen to have those gray clip that lock the wiring harness connectors to the sensors? One to the MAF. A couple more to the charge pipe. Wish I. Would buy some. One of mine disappeared (flew) into the engine bay.

Thanks a lot, this video is super helpful for a first time install. The pick tool tips were money, along with how to remove the clips. On the intake inlet, I like to remove that clip with a pick tool and wiggle the inlet off the turbo to get more room to access the intake PCV connector.

Not sure if ill attempt this myself after this vid. Way harder then the n54 CP. But we will see how i feel when i have in hand and the quotes i get.

BMW is notorious for air meter issues. Will this mod or any intake mods set off the check engine?

Hey anyone know what the snorkel is for that connects to the charge pipe?

I just did this same install on my car and am having major boost leak. I went through it twice and could not find anything, what do you suggest?

Would this work on the new 440i with the same engine?

I did mine today. Video was very helpful, but as with everything he makes it look easier than it was. Those squeeze connectors are very stiff, but work on position ansd they will come off. So far no CEL.

I just got a 340i today! I can't contain myself. But I'm not so sure I'm comfortable with doing this myself. Seems like a pain in the ass. I changed the intake and headers on my Honda no problem, but this is an entirely different beast.

Done my FTP based on videos, you should be good. But removing that vacuum line.. Even putting it back I found it was a mission due to the extremely tiny space to work your way around.

I got as far as the connectors because they were so damn stiff to get off so I gave up 😭

Whoever liked your comment, but did not respond. Is an A Hole. The benefits is due to the original parts being plastic you run the risk of breaking it as you build up boost. Higher PSI levels for greater performance. Imagine tuning the hard while stock. Yes, you will notice a difference, but over time you will notice some issues with the OEM parts breaking or creating a vaccumeleak.

AHhh, yikes, don't compare the n54 or the n55 to the b58 lol
