One thing that is missed here is that the cross pattern on the caliper has to match the pin on the rear plate of the brake pad. If it does not line up it will create excess pressure and wear the pad in no time. I like you must have been lucky a half a dozen times before I hit this issue

I have not been that lucky but I went back and ensured the cross pattern on the caliper matched the pin on the plate. Thank you for the feedback.

Another great vid 👍 I did 2 vids on this with pads and rotors for both front and rears since I was getting a clown horn noise when braking

Before mounting the wheel back up, pump up the brake pedal. then use the parking brake to keep the wheel from spinning when you tighten up the lug nuts.

Or merely pre-torque the lug nuts with the impact wrench and lower the vehicle to the ground for final tightening...

You installed your caliper pins in the incorrect order. The pin with the rubber bushing and the line machined around the flats goes on the top. I removed both pins from my caliper bracket yesterday and got them mixed up. I had to go find an exploded diagram online to see where they went. Supposedly the rubber bushing has something to do with mitigating vibration when braking...

Thanks for letting me know. Got distracted and forgot which order. I know it helps with evening out the travel to wear pads down evenly. Gonna swap them in the correct order. Cheers!

One thing I would like to add, it is best practice to line the channel on piston face with nipple on break pad.

Pretty good job. But you didn’t torque bolts on caliper 37 ft lbs. didn’t lube hardware for disc brakes. Didn’t use silicone on slider pins ( not brake grease ). Minor things but makes a difference. Thanks

So no need to open up brake reservoir when pushing caliper piston back?

If your just doing 2 axles then you are good to go, if you did all 4 wheels then it may leak.

Careful not to overtorque those guide pins, they're only about 15-19lb-ft
