I wanted to show you all how I used rubber mats in order to clear a patch of weeds in my garden, but that footage had problems with added music. If you want to start a garden bed, you can do it even if your yard is full of weeds like my hillside area. I used old mats (cardboard will also work) to block the sun from the weeds so that they won't grow. In a short time, the weeds will die down in that area. It makes preparing a small garden patch a lot easier. In my new patch, I sowed two packs of American Seed's Wildflower Seeds for Sunny Areas that I bought at Dollar Tree for $1.25 each. If they germinate, then I'll have a beautiful bunch of perennial flowers like echinaceas, dianthus, cosmos, mums and more!
