    My Uncle Cal flew P-38s in WWII. He just turned 97. They truly are the Greatest Generation.

    I was 3 years old when Pearl Harbor happened my dad enlisted into the Navy stationed on the USS Halligan in South Pacific off the coast of Okinawa where it hit a mine and lost half of the enlisted men and all but two of the officers it all starts and ends with USS Arizona and its crew I'm so proud to be a part of the Navy family and the respect they are always shown

    Just think if the US had not seized all Japan's assets to force them into WW2 And not hidden the INTELL they were reading all Japanese codes and not moved the Carriers out to Sea TAKING JAPAN BY SURPRISE. And not betrayed all those at Pearl Harbour as disclosed in the OFFICIAL US INQUIRY into Pearl Harbour. He would not be doing this. Like the Phony WMD like the Phony Gulf of Tonkin incident to get into Vietnam and like 911 the US government orchestrated.

    Very touching, my father is a 96 year old sailor, he never talked about anything that happened in ww2 , iwo jima and Okinawa. Truly the greatest generation

    Very true, just like reading the words from soldiers that died in the Civil War, expressing their values. There is a lot of displaced hatred nowadays for Confederate soldiers and their monuments from that conflict. What is important is remembering the intensity that all Americans laid down their lives for.

    Thank-you, Sir. I had the privilege of living next door to a survivor stationed on the U.S.S. St. Louis for a number of years. My youngest is named after him, in part. We will never forget your service, nor your sacrifices.

    Yesterday Lou Conter died, the last survivor of the USS Arizona. I don't know if he'll be buried on the ship or not. May all these brave men rest in peace.

    As far as i am aware the remaining survivors do not wish to be intured on the ship. All the crew that will rest aboard her for eternity are now home.

    Lou Conter (Lt. Cmdr), the speaker starting at 0:17, was the last living survivor of the Arizona. He passed away on April 1, 2024 at the age of 102. Conter was interred in Sacramento, Ca. So, there are no more crew members left to be interred on the ship.

    Pearl harbor and the USS Arizona memorial are such a peaceful, moving, emotional and heartbreaking experience. Such an amazing experience more of this generation should take to heart and learn something from.

    I'm reading a book on all the men who went down with the USS ARIZONA, and this brings all that to life. They are still on duty on the ARIZONA. The book is called "THE MEN of the USS ARIZONA". It was compiled by TJ Cooper and a lot of work went into this book. Respect and Semper Fi to all the 1177 sailors and Marines that went down with her on December 7th 1941.

    RIP Sailor, you're back with your brothers. Little did they know that they et the precedent for future generations of servicemen, and women who would answer the call to defend our nation. Those brave men, and women back then, and continuing today are the TRUE epitome of the words "To protect and serve!" May God give them rest and grant them eternal peace.
