Because the amount of money the US sent to saudis either directly or indirectly far out weighs whatever assets Ladin had or family had. Make no mistake the Saudi’s are not friends of the west. They’re just hedging their bets. Due to geography They are dependent on their global exports/imports which they can’t protect cause they don’t have a navy.
