One of the greatest songs I’ve ever heard made by disturbed, and I never thought it would ever get a cover deserving of its epic message/power, let alone done by piano. I have been happily proven wrong today. Violet, no words can describe how incredible this was, I’m emotional just being in so much awe and wonder from what you have created. What a tone, what a performance. Never stop making music no matter what anyone says. All your covers are fantastic and now in my opinion this is the greatest one you have ever done. Im so thankful you created this I can’t even express. Keep being awesome and beautiful!!!!! One of the best talents on KZread hands down, 10/10, right there beside Jonathan young and first to eleven. Your amazing!!!

Sick cover. That piano is haunting. The harmonized vocals add to that so well. And of course, excellent voice as we always know and expect to hear. 🤘🤘

If you're gonna cover a song, changing it radically (like Disturbed did themselves to Sound of Silence) it's the way to do it. Bloody amazing version!

The original version makes you bash your enemy's heads and drink from their skulls. This version makes you plan a slow torture so evil that even the ones who love you can't sleep at night.

When disturbed covered the sound of silence, I thought they gave a power to the song that it never had before.... Violet did the same thing in the opposite way, there was such sadness and despair in her version, like the entity felt sorrow over it's mission.... I love the original, but this hit in a different way, Actually gave me chills

Everyone: "Disturbed songs can't be covered. They are too good" Violet: "Hold my beer and watch this..."

Holy crap. The original is powerful enough, I didn't think anyone could bring this much weight to a cover. You really embodied the spirit of the song and brought it to new life. That piano brought the instrumentals into a new light and your vocals are haunting. Fantastic.

This is incredible! Your voice is most definitely a gift. The piano player is top notch as well. The video is haunting and dark. Love it.

I definitely feel this version sets the tone of the song so much better. It gives you the sense that this “Dark Messiah” wishes it didn’t have to come this if humanity hadn’t let things escalate this far

@@rwxstudio7173 this is a reference to one of Violet's earlier vids (reacting to hate comments) where she was reading hate comments on a different video and a person who's online name was disturbed gave praise to that video. I don't think it was the same Disturbed that created this song. If you still don't understand just watch the recent video where she reacts to hate comments.

I dont care for many Disturbed covers,but this, this is a masterpiece, it brought me back to 2015. The feeling of joyful anxiety seeing that timer on Disturbed's website. The unabridged bliss of hearing the first new Disturbed song in many years. This brought back many emotions.

KZread has so many amazing covers, and amazing vocalists. But this video is just more proof that Violet is in GOD MODE. Seriously, she is one of the most talented vocalists I've ever heard!

With guitars, it sounded so METAL but this piano ballad cover sounds so melancholic and so mysterious to hear to. I love it.

If the original version by Disturbed is a vengeful spirit, then Violet’s cover is being sung by an angry goddess coming to protect her persecuted followers.

Wow...I didn't believe that it is possible to create THAT version of a song, because the original is kind a dynamic. Amazing performance, Thank You very much!

There' something almost... inhuman about her voice. It makes the hairs stand up on the back of my neck and goosebumps up my arms. It's... weird. Good, but definitely weird.

I usually don't enjoy simplified instrument covers, but this was fantastic.

Honestly? If you brought out an entire Album like this, turning really agressive driven metal songs into more dramatic pieces, that are perfect for chilling while slightly sad/writing vampire the masquerade campaigns I wold buy it. On that note: Have you ever thought about doing something like this to Sabaton songs? Like for example "A lifetime of war"? I feel like it would fit. PS: I almost find this sounds more epic. Like an actual dark messiah descending. Where the original is more an Anthem to just go f**k s***t up. Love it, you´re awesome. Aight, enough positivity for one day. Piece out

This interpretation gives chills, and Violet's vocals are perfect for this treatment.

Disturbed in the original- a soldier fighting in the moment, mad that his comrades were tricked into a war and about to shoot his commander in the back before taking his own life. This- a survivor of a war atrocity captures the men responsible for the war, torturing them to death slowly with beautiful musical talent

Absolutely love this. Kinda got some Tori Amos vibes from when she goes darker, particularly on Little Earthquakes and Native Invader, mixed with a little bit of Tool. This was a really cool cover.

Does anyone else get any gospel vibes from this cover? To me, it's like a dramatic modern retelling of Moses' story where Moses is a woman and has to allow a higher power to possess her and send those she loved to a fate of misery (think "The Plagues" from Prince of Egypt). The original is, of course, amazing all on its own, but this? I just can't stop repeating some parts and the entire song because it sounds so powerful. Absolutely none of the instruments aren't metal-related, and yet I still feel that epic metal tone while listening. In a way, it's kinda like Dave Matthews Band where the song is metal without it being metal. I absolutely love it, Violet! Nice work!

We need a messiah whether it’s light or darkness or both more than ever these days it feels like. It’s a real shame that we even need one right now but (“it is what it is” “you can’t change past screw ups no matter how bad you want to but you can change the future for the better by living/learning from our mistakes in the present so those past mistakes will never happen again.” as my grandma always told me.
