I have overcome depression and suicidal ideation, but I'm still trying to find peace. I still struggle with irrational anger, and even though I keep it in control and don't usually act on it, it still tries to take control. I have found that your music (as well as a few others) helps me both find a healthy outlet as well as find peace, even if temporary. I want to thank you for that.

I've been a loyal fan since I was 13 years old (34 now). I am a mom of 4, a wife, a professional, and I have BPD. I've survived child abuse (which your music helped me survive). The absolute hardest thing about mental illness for me is the sense of loneliness. Feeling alone. Feeling unworthy. Staring all your sins in the face as they mock your hope and efforts. Each day is its own kind of battle. But we aren't alone. Thanks for always making sure your fans know people care.

It's awesome we have people like Disturbed that are being advocates for mental health, suicide and drug addiction.

Really appreciate what you are doing. I have clinical depression and anxiety and it gets difficult sometimes to go on and continue with life. Your music and other artists have been a great help.

I just discovered Disturbed cover of SoS, and it LITERALLY pulled me back from doing something irreversible that night. I played the music video about 20x & then watched every reaction video to it that I could find, each video getting me thru the night. I've been stuck in a broken, dying body my whole teen & adult life, and I'm terminally ill & not only have no future, but never had a life or experiences that made all the decades of suffering worth it. It's only music, playing KZread every waking minute to distract me from my hopeless reality, and the miracle of medical cannabis, that have kept me existing. Waiting, thru 2 massive heart & kidney failures & 8 failed open-back surgeries, thru poverty & stress & loneliness so bad it's killed me twice, for that moment everyone loves to say will "eventually get better"... Problem is, nobody ever hears from those it DIDN'T get better for, because we waited & waited until we weren't around anymore to say it... 💔⏰💀

Dealing with the loss of my grandmother who was more of my mom and my best friend then anything and everything has been so difficult. I struggle with bi-polar and suicide is something that is always on my mind it's a burden my wife is my light my reason to fight on, thank you for speaking out and being the voice of millions crying out.

🖐️ Disturbed helped me through a lot of... bad parts of my life. I don't know where I would be if I never heard of disturbed or if they were never a band. Thank you.

Hello all, I am a huge Disturbed fan. Heck my whole family is. I really don't post, but today I will. My nephew has seen Disturbed live more than I can count. Their music has helped us deal with the loss of my Mother to Pancreatic cancer in July 2016. They have helped my family thru so much pain and sorrow. So today, I am posting. To ask for the wonderful Disturbed Community to come together In prayer for my Nephew. He is really losing the battle, and I think today may not bring a tomorrow for him. I picked this stream to post to, because my nephew is seen in the concert footage. I know the pain of suicide. I tried to take my life twice. Both times, I was saved. I loss my best friend to suicide. So, I ask For your prayers today, for him and everyone else. Love to each and everyone.

He went from a lot of heartache in his life to being one of the best rock and roll legends ever, disturbed is an awesome band, I love em.

The first time I heard David sing I thought... This is a Cantor. If you've ever known a Cantor, you know they sing from the depths of their soul & it's a very spiritual experience for everyone. It feels good to get that confirmation to what my heart already told me. ❤ And I agree, while the pandemic was hard on many, it was also an extraordinary marker of life changing in ways we never imagined. Learning to just be with ourselves for many was shocking, for others it was liberating. And I believe there was a valuable lesson for all of us. Partly that life never returns the same, it never goes backwards, always forward. Finding a new way to accept & embrace it is the key to new joy 🤍

I still remember "Operation MySpace 2008." I got a picture with two of the four band members. The picture wasn't the best part. The fact this group came to Kuwait while I was serving overseas for the U.S. Army National Guard, performing a concert, was the perfect moment for healing of my depression that I needed. For them to continue healing through music today, God bless Disturbed, and continue to bless the gift they've been given.

My daughter has struggled with mental health issues for the last five years. She was molested by a female friend and then victimized by another friend because she had been molested. She’s has been in and out of psychiatric clinics. I tell her daily that I love her and it doesn’t feel like enough. I fight this battle along side her and pray that she can move past it. Before I heard the song “A Reason to Fight”, I constantly told her that the people that love her need to be her reason to fight. The first time I heard the song, I broke down. It’s like you were singing of our exact situation. Thank you for putting the words together that have helped me to help her. I doubt you will ever see this, but I am truly thankful for Disturbed, David and your music. You are truly something good.

No matter what kind of day I'm having there is sang by David Draiman that corroborates with what I'm feeling at the time. Brilliant band & a Brilliant man with a Heart of Gold & a Mind to match. Live music is the best medicine! Disturbed is one of the best live shows I've ever experienced! The unity of people at live concerts shows up! I miss live shows!!!!!

@Debbie Powley, from one mother to another, please accept my sincere condolences. The loss of a child is a hellscape that leaves a leviathan sized hole in your soul forever! There simply are no words to describe it, are there. I lost my husband to suicide 25 years ago this month and it is still a trigger for me. Two years ago, on the soul sucking vortex of Facebook, his mom actually blamed ME for his death!!! 😲 She completely changed the reality of his death to her own preferred narrative and facts were not anywhere near the reality. For example, she stated that he died because I had left him {to go to a battered women's shelter, after he very nearly beat me to death} and didn't 'stick around' to manage his meds? WTH? No, I, along with the police department are the ones who found him hanging from the basement rafters!! THEY were gone camping out of town!! But, as I tap these keys today, if this is how she chooses to cope, I'm fine with that. Again, I am so very, very sorry for the loss of your daughter. Peace.

I’ll never understand why some people dislike David. I mean, I can understand if Disturbed just isn’t your style of music, but David is such a down to Earth and likable person, and so are all of the other members in Disturbed.

Disturbed has been a great part of my life like I'm trying my best not to cry as I. Typing people will never understand like disturbed does

Music is truly a medicine for whom has the ability to let it flow through his heart and soul, and it does cure psychological and physical sicknesses. Danm, this "you are not alone" sentence is so intense and powerfull .... it gave me chills !

Disturbed has gotten me out of evil thoughts and resentment and loneliness. I will be forever grateful and supportive and indebted to this band.

Disturbed helped me during some very angry points in my life just knowing that when I listen to any song it helps me realize that I’m never alone that there are others who face the same demons and challenges to all our brothers and sisters never stop fighting

What ever gets you through heart ache suffering etc is so important.Music has the power to lift my mood when I'm down.

David I admire you so much, you are a singer I always look up to and you inspire me to become a better singer. I'm struggling with so much shit right now and I swear last week I was about to end my misery once and for all but I'm fighting really hard to recover and be OK to keep on singing and support my mother and my cats because our landlord wants to kick us out and I have no money to afford anywhere else to go. That situation and my inner demons make me feel like there's nothing else for me, no matter how hard I try and how much I work, but when those suicidal thoughts come I try to fight even harder because all I want in this life is to help my mom and my cats, they are my lifesavers and my reason to fight. I also suffered from anorexia and bulimia for years and I almost relapse but I don't want that, I want to be happy and healthy and I want my family to be happy and prosperous, that's all I want. Thank you so much for your kind words David.

I sent this song to my husband 3 months before he passed away on April 28, 2020 in hoping he would change. That video was us to the T. We were separated, I was just waiting for him to turn his life around.... I’m mad that he didn’t stop his addiction for our son, but I’m sad as hell that he’s gone forever 😭😭💔.

Disturbed got me through my post partum depression and subsequent bipolar 1..thank you David and the rest of the band im here because of God but your music was my therapy❣️🙋🇺🇲

Here I am sitting at the corner of my room with tears falling from my eyes while remembering the day I once attempted to end my life by jumping off the cliff while listening to Finally Dead by Vanhelga..............I hate those days...........I'm still diagnosed with severe anxiety and depression but hey,😄I'm alive and I don't know for how long😄... This past few days everytime I feel down and miserable I'll immediately grab my phone and walk wherever my thoughts will bring me while listening to Metalcore and Disturbed....

I can't help but to think that may be it isn't me that's broken it's society and the way it functions that's broken, there's so many people who struggle to come to terms with the injustice of how society functions fundamentally, we can't all be broken, it's the environment we live in that's broken, that's what really needs fixing

Disturbed is, for me, the band you can actually say literally saved my life in a lot of ways. I was introduced to your music at one of the darkest points I've ever known, and the song that brought me from pure hate and rage to breaking down in tears was "Prayer". Since then, it has been your music that has kept me from completely going over the edge and letting my pain take control. Unfortunately, I know there is no level of "professional help" for me, but that's why, ever since the day I was first introduced to your music, I have been and forever will be "a Lost Child". You guys are a vast part of the reason I have the strength to endure existence today.

Growing up from a abusive and broken home and getting bullied i never got to experience youth,24/7 of agony no matter where i was and only staying in my room just for safety. I grew up eventually to be adult too young at nine to try and live something and it went nowhere and eventually got diagnosed with autism,depression,ptsd and more at fourteen and it destroyed my life,i got more agressive and violent and the reason was to just stay alive and feel something on a day to day basis. At fifteen my uncle showed me alot of metal which disturbed was under and to this day,while still rough and still trying to adjust and change i am much happier and metal kept me going but i owe it to disturbed for their music that eventually led to my change and find someplace i could call home in music,someplace where abuse isn't tolerated but feel included and safe.

As an extreme introvert screaming to be an extrovert the entire covid thing has been great. I've been working from home for over a year, and I've loved it. The stress of being around so many people was horrible. I was coming home from the office spent, exhausted, mentally drained. I don't have that any more. I'm in a much better place now, and the company I work for has discovered that there are people that just perform better when left alone, and allowed to work the way it works for them. I have been told I may be able to continue working from home permanently. For me, that's great, other's not so great. Great clip here David!

Some of my favorite bands have gotten me through some really rough times (e.g. Avenged Sevenfold, Linkin Park, Skillet, Metallica) but Disturbed has really been that band to come through for me, especially with A Reason to Fight. Continue to take care of yourselves and each other, my brothers and sisters! 🙏🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻

Your songs helped me through and out of an abusive relationship. Evolution album came out at the most traumatic days of my life. It gave me a reason to get up in the morning and realize I'm stronger on my own! 🖤

After my grandpa and my grandma passed away I listen to more music than I care about life because after we lost someone it's hard to come to terms with the loss

Disturbed has always been (in me eyes) the most ABOUT something band. They're not just singing about trash. They're for those who feel less than and may not be in the best place. 100% saved my life many, many times with their music.

If you see this thank you soooooooo much if it wasn't for you 11 years ago today I wouldn't be here I was ready to end it alll the your song came on the radio inside the fire and since that day I been fighting getting better keeping hope but I'm glad you changed my life I'm glad I got to watch you grow over the years in away your music so powerful

i discovered this band in 2005 and they are still my favourite band today i am 53 years old and dont care if people say im to old for this music this band and their music has gotten me through the hardest times in my life and i can never thankyou guys enough ur music heals me and i will always love u thankyou for all these years of ur wonderful music

This is an incredibly important video, much like the live-version is. That echoing feeling of loneliness and despair does something to your head and makes you think thoughts that would never be a logical thing to consider. Reaching out to others, whether it be friends or even people on the Internet, and equally important is to be that person on the other side who offers their hand, their ears, their time. Give yourself and others a reason to fight.

I will never forget NYC Madison Square Garden when you said that look around you are not alone and all I could do was cry because for the first time in my life I was not alone and was able to raise my hand yes I have faced my demonds attempted suicide and depression and I'm Bless I overcame that your music is healing my best therapy THANK YOU DISTURBED FAM 💛💛💛💛💛💛💛💛💛💛💛💛

These guys are true hero’s not only in heavy metal but also in mental health
