Exodus 19:8-15:
8 All the people answered together and said, “All that the LORD has spoken we will do.” And Moses reported the words of the people to the LORD. 9 And the LORD said to Moses, “Behold, I am coming to you in a thick cloud, that the people may hear when I speak with you, and may also believe you forever.”
When Moses told the words of the people to the LORD, 10 the LORD said to Moses, “Go to the people and consecrate them today and tomorrow, and let them wash their garments 11 and be ready for the third day. For on the third day the LORD will come down on Mount Sinai in the sight of all the people. 12 And you shall set limits for the people all around, saying, ‘Take care not to go up into the mountain or touch the edge of it. Whoever touches the mountain shall be put to death. 13 No hand shall touch him, but he shall be stoned or shot; whether beast or man, he shall not live.’ When the trumpet sounds a long blast, they shall come up to the mountain.” 14 So Moses went down from the mountain to the people and consecrated the people; and they washed their garments. 15 And he said to the people, “Be ready for the third day; do not go near a woman.”

The most beautiful act of love is demonstrated by God sending His Son to die for us, cleanse our sins with His blood and make us part of His family. Without us having to do anything to inherit the kingdom of God other than trust in Jesus and follow His commandments. Love our neighbors like ourselves and love God over everything.

I used to think so too... until I realized the most beautiful act of love is demonstrated by the Son's love for His Father--though being in the form of God, He humbled Himself, becoming obedient to death, all to declare His Father's righteousness; His Father would forgive a sinful people, but justice needed to be vindicated. He did it all, not for the welfare of humans primarily, but at the end of the day, for His Father's glory. His love for His Father must always be first (as having become a man, He could not be an idolater, which means His love for His Father must exceed even His love for His people).

Great study. However, you did not address whether God's Laws, including the dietary laws, were abolished with the New Covenant. This is a very popular (Global Lie) and incorrect doctrine among us Christians. I'm curious to see if you have come to realize that the establishment of God's Law through Moses, by His revelation, implies that the dietary laws still apply within the New Covenant. It is unfortunate that some teachings suggest only a selected few laws apply to the House of Israel, as if we, as believers, are not grafted in. This is saddening. The Covenant changed, but the Torah did not. Shalom! Hebrews 10:28-30 nkjv 28 Anyone who has rejected Moses’ law dies without mercy on the testimony of two or three witnesses. 29 Of how much worse punishment, do you suppose, will he be thought worthy who has trampled the Son of God underfoot, counted the blood of the covenant by which he was sanctified a common thing, and insulted the Spirit of grace? 30 For we know Him who said, “Vengeance is Mine, I will repay,” [a]says the Lord. And again, “The Lord will judge His people Jeremiah 31:31-34 nkjv 31 'Behold, the days are coming, says the Lord, when I will make a new covenant with the house of Israel and with the house of Judah- 32 not according to the covenant that I made with their fathers in the day that I took them by the hand to lead them out of the land of Egypt, My covenant which they broke, though I was a husband to them, says the Lord. 33 But this is the covenant that I will make with the house of Israel after those days, says the Lord: I will put My law in their minds, and write it on their hearts; and I will be their God, and they shall be My people. 34 No more shall every man teach his neighbor, and every man his brother, saying, ‘Know the Lord,’ for they all shall know Me, from the least of them to the greatest of them, says the Lord. For I will forgive their iniquity, and their sin I will remember no more.

“And he [Jesus] said to them, ‘Then are you also without understanding? Do you not see that whatever goes into a person from outside cannot defile him, since it enters not his heart but his stomach, and is expelled?’ (Thus he declared all foods clean.)” ‭‭Mark‬ ‭7‬:‭18‬-‭19‬ ‭ESV‬‬ “For it has seemed good to the Holy Spirit and to us to lay on you no greater burden than these requirements: that you abstain from what has been sacrificed to idols, and from blood, and from what has been strangled, and from sexual immorality. If you keep yourselves from these, you will do well. Farewell.” ‭‭Acts‬ ‭15‬:‭28‬-‭29‬ ‭ESV‬‬

@@nicolasbenson8944 It's unfortunate that you are completely misinterpreting Mark 7:18-19, as many Christians do. Mark 7:18-19, Jesus is emphasizing that the issue is not about the physical act of eating with unwashed hands or consuming certain foods, but rather about the condition of the heart. The focus is on inner purity and righteousness rather than external rituals or dietary restrictions. Jesus responds correcting his disciples providing clarity. (the Bible interpret itself) Mark 7:20-23 nkjv 20 And He said, “What comes out of a man, that defiles a man. 21 For from within, out of the heart of men, proceed evil thoughts, adulteries, fornications, murders, 22 thefts, covetousness, wickedness, deceit, lewdness, an evil eye, blasphemy, pride, foolishness. 23 All these evil things come from within and defile a man.” Scripture says that whoever keeps the whole law and yet stumbles at just one point is guilty of breaking all of it. Don't just worry about the commandments highlighted in Acts 15, as salvation cannot be earned. Heaven is a free gift, we don't keep the law for salvation. We keep it as an honor that God shows us by His grace, otherwise the sacrificial act of His Son would be in vain. God bless you and your family, and I pray that moving forward, you receive the revelation and start establishing context when rightfully dividing the Word of God.

@@adatit I don’t get it. Is it about the food you eat or not? You seem to argue against yourself in quoting the verses in Mark that follow my quotation, seeing as they don’t mention anything about eating “unclean” foods defiling someone or causing any defilements from coming out of him. Plus, there is that parenthetical that specifically calls out that Jesus declared all foods clean. And the issue with keeping the whole law yet stumbling in just one point has to do with looking to the law for salvation. And I am not doing that. I know my salvation is a gift from God, resulting from faith and not works of the law. And good works come out of me as a response to that gift, not in an attempt to further earn it. Why shouldn’t I worry about the commands in Acts 15? Those seem to be directly applicable to this discussion as you are attempting to Judaize me and others in saying that we are bound to the entirety of the Levitical law, even the ceremonial topic of diet.

@@nicolasbenson8944 I'm informing you about the misuse of Mark 7. The passage is not translated accurately from the Greek Scriptures. The phrase "(Thus declaring all foods clean)" is not present in the original text. To imply that the verse speaks about food being clean or unclean is to take it out of context. We are not bound by divisions of the law; we are free, and therefore, all of God's laws apply with exception of tithing. When the temple is back, that will also apply. The Bible does not categorize the law into ceremonial, moral, or Levitical. These are man-made terms and distinctions, not biblical ones. Only God's law/Statues/ commandments are mentioned. The parenthesis emphasizes on that passage is not on the original Greek language.

@@adatit You are still arguing that what goes into a man defiles him/makes him unclean. The parenthetical is necessary because translating the original Greek into English without it causes Jesus’ statement to lose meaning. The original Greek indicates that foods are made clean/purified and is reflected in all sound English Bible translations. The question is then what makes the food clean: digestion or Jesus’ statement. If it’s digestion, then the Levitical dietary restrictions are moot from the get-go. If it is Jesus’ statement, then it is a reflection of Jesus’ sacrifice fulfilling the ceremonial aspects of the Law (as also illustrated by the tearing of the veil of the temple).

Those who indulge in *sexual sin,* or who worship idols, or commit adultery, or are male prostitutes, or *practice homosexuality,* or are thieves, or greedy people, or drunkards, or are abusive, or cheat people-none of these will inherit the Kingdom of God. 1 Corinthians 6:9-10
