Actually, this was my first exposure to the Dukes. Thankfully I was young so I thought it was cool and eventually grew into the the show.

It’s great that someone from a younger generation loves the Dukes. I grew up when the show was originally on, and every Friday night was appointment viewing. Even when we went to stay with our cousins on weekends, I had to watch the Dukes! Liked your videos on this and the 05 movie. Ya got a new sub here!

Wonderfully said - if the “art” In whatever form or time period it happened in moves you, then it did it’s job’

That "jump" kills one of the joys of the series; stunts. The original show saw the transition from actual suntwork to (ugh) scale models. (John Schneider joked that the RC version of the General had darkened windows so you couldn't see the embarrassed miniature Bo inside).I remember one midseries episode where I sneered that Bo didn't really jump a helicopter, and my dad responded "but somebody did". He was right..With modern CGI even big budget films (Tom Cruise excluded) will never see that raw level of stuntwork again.

This review was more entertaining than the movie Btw thank you for inventing the phrase “Retardedly parked”

I watched THE DUKES OF HAZZARD and the ANIMATED SERIES on tv back in the 1980's

I agree with your review 100.01%! It feels like an opportunity to make the Dukes come back was wasted. Well I’ll just have to relive the original on DVD.

I am 52 and The Dukes of Hazzard, to me, was the best show to happen. I still have my 1/24 and 1/43 scale diecast cars. The Dukes were the only thing that my entire family would gather around some Domino's pizza and watch on Friday nights. It was silly, brilliant, and just freakin fun yall. It sucks that the movies missed everything that was the soul of the Dukes. Today's world could use a show like the original Dukes of Hazzard! It was gold. I am glad you love the series. Have you seen Moon Runners? It's the movie that The Dukes of Hazzard was based on.

The Dukes of Hazzard show gave me my love for cars even though I’m 15 the show made my childhood awesome

I loved Dukes of Hazzard as a kid so yeah, these movies really disappointed me. Oh and a fun fact: I got to meet Tom Wopat when I was a kid, so that made me so excited. Said hi to me and my family and shook me and my brother's hand.

I think my favorite part in the 2005 Movie with Johnny Knoxville and Seann William Scott was the Bar Fight scene in the beginning before Rosco intervened and told the dukes that their car was destroyed by the construction workers (on Rosco’s behave) I think they could’ve just at least add the bar fight scene in this movie it would be a scene I’d watch because not only they did that in the 2005 movie but the original show had numerous of bar fights in different episodes which they are all my favorite scenes that and the car chase scenes in the episodes

For some odd reason, this movie had an R rating. So that means that according to Warner Bros. (because I doubt the MPAA rated this movie) this made for T.V. movie is more inappropriate than the 2005 movie.

I would guess that it is a combination of the nudity and the bad acting.

Great video. The fact that you are actually passionate about the original series, puts this way over every other bad movie reviewer's take. I personally think a Dukes adaptation could have been great, had they just done a dark & gritty, grindhouse version. Keep up the good work. You have talent. I normally hate bad movie reviews, but you have a lot of great content.

When I was younger, I thought that jump scene was cool but now, I just fucking died from cringe.

Honestly, Christopher McDonald would’ve made a better Roscoe than Boss Hogg IMO

When I was little I used to watch the show on TV long before home video I always love the show been to the museum several times and like you said almost moved to tears over it and I absolutely love the use of the nightmare on elm Street 2 score in the intro

You got the cast members for Bo and Luke Duke backwards. Randy Wayne was Luke, and Jonathan Bennett was Bo.

It seems that when a classic show gets revisited, Hollywood fucks it up. I grew up on The Dukes, and have the entire series on DVD. I don't have the time of day for those movies. Nobody but the original actors can play those roles. You can't mess with a formula that works.

Such a disgrace to the original show. Its stupid that they changed the General Lee's discovery and how it wasn't made into the first General Lee we see in the 2005 movie. Also it appears they reused the same General Lees from the 2005 film and just left them as is for this piece of garbage. Why couldn't they just do another reunion movie with Bo and Luke's kids as the next generation Dukes.

Huey Hogg was a one off character? I thought he appeared once every season?

That was mostly hyperbole. He appeared in six episodes, but regardless he was still a mostly minor character.

Mr. Confused Reviews guy, if you want to see a better silly comedy with Willie nelson in it, check out Gone Fishin'. It's about 2 guys played by Joe Pesci and Danny Glover, who go on a fishing trip, and unwittingly run into a crook named Dekker Massey. It's really funny, silly, and stupid.

Yes. Daisy's shorts are short shorts, but we called them Daisy's dukes.

It hurt me inside to see that guy intentionally crash the General into that tree😢

I’ve never seen dukes of hazard but even I can tell that this movie spits in the face of the original show.

Although, I bet The Crow: Wicked Prayer is way worse. I bought that DVD when it first came out. Watched it. Took the bus back to the store, slammed it on the counter and said “I want my life back. I no longer have a Will to live.” Dramatic? Yes. But that movie eats poop. All the poop.

You nailed it! This was the worst movie I've ever seen, Willie Nelson was horrible in these films, those jokes are so lame. No idea why this was even made

Being honest, I grew up with the 2005 movie and it got me interested in the original show. I enjoy both the original and the 05 movie but this, I saw it once when I was a kid, tried to rewatch it when I got older because I hardly remembered it and shut it off because I was bored to death. I know it's probably bias from nostalgia, but one thing I will always say about the 2005 movie is that it's a fun movie on it's own, but it's a terrible Dukes Of Hazzard movie. This one doesn't get that same treatment. On it's own, this is boring, poorly acted and awfully edited with some of the worst special effects ever put to film.

12:16 & 12:44 Truth be told, it actually WOULDN’T be the first time we see Boss Hogg poke his head out a window during a jump. If you pull up this video of ALL of General Lee’s jumps in the series, kzread.info/dash/bejne/iHaa1KyBo5ick6Q.html , and skip to the 18:10 mark, you would see Boss poke his head out of the rear window on the driver’s side of the car.

Even as a kid that enjoyed the first dukes of hazzard movie i thought that this movie didnt made any sense in term of continuity and kinda boring and awkward watching that with my dad and my little sister

I think bo was played by Jonathan Bennett.

My favourite seasons are 3 or 4 but 2 is still good. And you forgot that Christopher Mayer who played Vance died in 2011. Other than that, your review is my thoughts exactly this "movie"

Yeah two was one I watched all the time as a kid, but three and four kick ass too, and yeah I was going to put Chris on there but I meant more people who were portrayed in THIS movie, like Boss and Roscoe. Confused Reviews yeah plus no one really cared about coy and vance. When my parents taped the show to me on CMT I would pull out the tape and put in my season 6 dvd which was the only one I had at the time. Now I have all 7 seasons and the 2 reunion movies

There is only one thing that makes this more watchable than the 2005 film-at least in this one we don't an asinine scene in which the DUKE BOYS HIT EACH OTHER WITH PHONE BOOKS. SOMEONE OUT THERE, PLEASE TELL ME WHY THEY HAD TO MAKE THAT SCENE. ALSO, I LIKE IT IN THIS ONE WHEN "BO" GETS TASERED. THAT WAS NICE.
