Just to re-clarify again since some people missed it amongst the abundance of information in this video: The T.Mari team is still perfectly viable even if your SHoshino has higher def than the lantern. This team completely works and you can still clear the content fairly competitively with no issue. You just wont be able to save an extra 15 (max 30) seconds in the run. I did not in no way say you should avoid running this team altogether.

Finally! Someone answered this stupid bricc rumor. This supposed "bricc" is so niche that it only affects Hieronymus speed runs. Imagine holding the potential of S.Hoshino just for the sake of one Insane run, and it's not even the fastest comp against it LOL.

@@wiseman8728 UE40 stands for "Unique Equipment Lv40" Unique Equipment is a student's personal weapon. You can unlock them after getting them to 5*, with each consecutive limit break improving their enhanced passive (the one middle in the middle) and then one of their terrain moods with each consecutive level limit break (30, 40, 50) On a different note, there's also Unique Gear which does a similar thing but is unlocked after reaching Bond Lv20. Somewhat similar idea too.

This idea should've never been a discussion between casuals in the first place yet here we are

What I may want to do eventually is release a general guide for all bosses, as right now I only have videos about Insane.

btw PrinCon JP server just updates TP formula to calculates from raw enemies attack instead of damage taken so we don't need to hold back the full upgrade anymore.

This is on the same level of players who can't even clear insane trying to emulate rank 1 strategies so they purposely brick themselves and still fail anyways. They don't try and understand why it's done or what other alternative exists, they just hear something like a brick strategy and run with it.

Thank you for this video, I saw the video where this rumor came from when it came out and honestly was worried about the so called "brick". This has put my worries to rest, I appreciate your angry but very useful video.

a clickbaity title turned into a confusion for the whole community

Thanks for the info, it's good to have someone finally explaining something instead of 1 monkey saying to the next batch without saying why. But there is one demographic that may keep Hoshino under UE40 to not "brick" her: People who wants to comfy clear insane at any score just for the sake of the coins while minimizing mald and stress, which includes constantly rank 200-300 global me. I am unsure if I will roll for Mari and if I don't, I will borrow her for the comfy strats while using my own S Hoshino (who most players will probably roll for). Unless we are taught of a much comfier strats to clear Hiero (definitely are but we're too lazy to figure it our on our own so we make up a chunk of the viewerbase of guide vid), we'll use the S Hoshi + Mari combo, in which case, needs S Hoshi at UE30.

It's quite saddening to see others that uses tier list/strats of other servers and proceeds to ignores some context, or simply doesn't ask the question "why?" and then leads to this kind of misunderstanding. This video probably saved those people who ignored context and those who are getting gaslit by other people.

I‘m glad you made this video and shared your thoughts on the topic for others to see. Honestly, most of the time, „bricks“ are so insanely over exaggerated that it‘s not even funny anymore. Your energy and mood actually reminds me a lot of myself - only that my pain comes from Priconne. Been playing on JP and Global since day one each, and the amount of people preaching about „bricking characters“ is insane. Not only that it doesn’t affect casuals - it only truly matters if you are somewhere in a top 10 Guild, or top 50 at best. Truly infuriated me whenever I saw someone preach about how people should avoid „bricking“ some character at all costs. God bless this shit is over forever on JP starting from next month on… Either way, nice video, and hopefully this „bricking“ nonsense will stop coming up now ^^‘

I used to hear the word bricked a lot in my priconne days, and having to be careful not to level up a character or not put this and that equipment on the character made spoiled the fun for me. I really love BA because you can just level up the characters you want without any restrictions to keep in mind, and thats what attracts me and make BA fun for me.

SHoshino herself deals respectable damage so getting the ATK from Passive+ will definitely help there. Additionally, on her terrain its an extra mood boost. Let's not forget the raw stats. Other than that, probably when we somehow face a situation where we want tmari to actually heal her but you also need another tank (shoshino + 1 tank is a quite common situation) The flat def from passive+ is actually so minor when she already has high flat def in the first place so its pretty meh for survival

As a casual, this made me laugh out loud. I have UE50 S.Hoshino and I am one of the people struggling just to keep my team alive in JP

Something you forgot to mention is that keeping Shoshino at T6 bag lets you do UE50 MMMM SHoshino will still leave her less def than lantern Additionally, if you had hoshino and shoshino at high bonds, you will need to keep her at T5 bag instead. Just in case there are people who cant afford to borrow a weaker shoshino and can only use tmari. SHoshino has DPS too so UE50 MMMM is still a dps increase, so might as well just reduce her survivability amirite? Edit: Calculated with UE50 Bond20 Ako and Himari as supports

I understand the argument you're using. But is there any actual harm at keeping her at UE30? Does keeping her at UE30 invalidate any other potential use cases because her HP will be 2,674 - 1,337 less, and her def will be 270 lower?

Make her as high or stars/weapon level as you want. Even a 3* S.Hoshino is sufficient for Insane. Every star after that is just comfort factor and reduces the amount of stress/resets you will need to do each raid. It's more important you max her Levels, Equips, and Skills.

If you were forced at gunpoint to pull either T.Mari or Kokona and you weren't allowed to say no, you would probably pull Kokona. Having a healer/cost support combo unit opens you up to more potential team comps and strategies, while TMari is just a pure striker healer with no additional benefits, especially if you already have Koharu. If you were allowed to say no to the above scenario, I would consider thinking twice and making sure you have plenty of pyros to spark other units around Kokona who are much higher priority, like S.Izuna, Ako, and Himari. If you can afford those units then you can maybe then consider Kokona. Unless Kokona is waifu, then don't even ask lol just pull.

5 months later, but it stands for Unique Equipment, which is the weapon a student gets when she reaches 5*. UE30 is basically 5*, because you can level their weapon up to Lv. 30. Then come UE40 and UE50; level caps that are unlocked just like increasing the student's star level, but now with the weapon instead.

Dude, I UE40'd Hifumi Tank (and still have 100% Plat rate) Bricking or not bricking isn't a concern to me. Only love. ...I do think I fit into the "Tryhard but not that much of a tryhard" catgory though, since I'm comfy with top 5000 ranks.
