I found this really endearing because there are a lot of dev teams that try to be relatable by saying that they are nerds/otakus just like their player base (looking at you fucking Hoyoverse) but these guys are the only ones I've seen where they actually behave like that publicly instead of trying to put up a more "professional" and boring front in order to be taken seriously, from discussing the importance of glorious tummy folders to straight up talking about indirect kisses. It shows how much fun they have working at the game.

@@far4955 I know, but like I mentioned, these ones feel more endearing because we can see them acting like nerds. When the people at Hoyoverse talk they are way more scripted and direct about stuff. They come, tell you what they have in store and leave. These guys sat on a table and derailed a conversation like 3 times in 10 minutes to talk about injokes and geek about their own work. I'm not saying that one is better than the other or that everyone should do the same (I'm sure that part of the reason these guys make their videos like that is because they don't have the shitcillion dollars that Hoyoverse does and use for fancy stages and orchestral performances), I'm just saying that I had more fun watching this

If China completely breaks away from the West in that regard, then they may just return to where they once were and do things like the old times. I love this because it essentially means that they focused on making a game for themselves and anyone who happened to be interested. Since they were the target audience they will end up bringing other like minded people into their community. With a community that you can joke around with and have fun you don't burn out as easily especially if you yourself are enjoying the process of putting the game together. It really is just a bunch of guys putting together a game with all of the things they love.

Especially if we compare it with other cases, we have ultra-corporate people making a serious presentation about something they don't understand, or even worse, ultra-corporate people trying to be funny and pretending that they have a good relationship with the people in their offices and that interactions with workers seem to be done at gunpoint xd.

this is why I love blue archive. the games has interesting story. the details of characters. likeable design of characters. good animation or cut scene video. and the based developer. hahaha of course Mari is pure through and through. unlike in the pixiv or a certain websites...
