They have somehow managed to not screw this one up over all the years- even though it sounds like the whole thing was entirely recorded... it is verbatim! It just sounds clean and coherent- I am so glad it still has held up.

I remember going to Disneyland on my birthday (Aug. 24) with my mom and when we heard that the parade was still going on before it bid its farewells last year, I was SO excited since this parade has been my absolute favorite when I was a little girl! Hearing the introduction and the "50 years ago.." speech made me tear up and hug my mom so tight because she knows how happy this parade makes me. Hearing this clear audio always makes me tear up with happiness and joy in my heart!

Listen, I thought the To Honor America float was neat and all, but if I’m being totally 100% honest, I think the Small World float knocks it completely out of the park, and I’ve never loved this parade more.

It’s pretty brilliant if you think about it. The parade begins with the Drum headlining on Main Street and ends with Small World, same as how the parade route in Disneyland flows.

The original finale to the Main Street Electrical Parade in 1972 was actually in fact It’s a Small World.

I love the new finale. However, I do think that they should have reused the chassis of the wagon eagle from the to honer America float to have atleast two more doll characters and maybe a light up version of the castle. Other than that, I love the new finale much more the the to honor America finale. I also think that there should have been a special float for the parade that would portray most of its retired floats to reflect on the parade's history.

It’s one of Disney Land best night time shows. They should keep it and keep updating it. Great video.

If the Disneyland brass wanted this to be the true 50th non-consecutive anniversary of the MSEP then they'd have used the original soundtrack. This is NOT the baroque Hoedown that made this parade famous but this is the sleek modernized Tokyo Disneyland MSEP Dream Lights soundtrack and I doubt I'm the only expert that knows this and can tell. The probably thought everyone would be glad to have it back in the park where it originated and should never have left. it was discontinued in late 75 all of 76 because of the Bicentennial America on Parade which still should run only during the day time during, all of June until the 4th of July to celebrate that holiday then have the classic MSEP at night, it didn't return until around 82 to 83 where it ran until 96 when it was replaced by that failed junk light magic what I call Light tragic. it ran at DCA for as few years when they brought in the lackluster Paint the Night and now for its supposed 50th this newfangled sounding MSEP is now in the main park what I call magic kingdom west. They could also add new floats the little mermaid, Aladdin, the lion king and others.

Yes, it is in the key of G Major. The original song however was written in A-Flat Major.

Well, the song is "Give a Little Whistle" and the parade has an electronic soundtrack. Coincidence? I THINK NOT!!!

The original was waaaaay better. It's like trying to remake Casablanca. Yeah. No. Nice try, though. :P xoxo

They stole the basic audio from Tokyo Disneyland while keeping all the garbagey old floats with their old buzzy bee annoying sounds 😆 Have a look at the Blue Fairy float at Tokyo-leagues better

What they did to the to honour America float is pretty stupid and and un-American but it is your freedom of choice and gives me another reason not to go and visit Disneyland
