My dad was there when it originally Debut, and it's test run on the grad night students before it's debut(he was a musician contracted to perform at disneyland nightly), and we were also there in the years(and the final day) of it's run in 1996.

Cassandra Roman I’m going to be there the 2nd but I’m seeing Fantasmic instead but I’m gonna see it the 4th.

The original Baroque Hoedown sounded like the background music from that Hanna-Barbera Pac-Man cartoon, this version sounds like it was made for the later New Super Mario Bros. games.

I like the America Part, even though it has been replaced by the new It’s a Small World float, which I still like :)

To all my Final Fantasy fans out there, you can't tell me Gold Saucer's theme was NOT inspired by this. Both are pretty fire.

it's a lot easier to do with this vbersion than the original soundtrack (the original had a flaw, mostly 2-beat tewmpo with 1 bar of 3 beats. that was 1 of the reasons why they wanted a new saoundtrack, the other being so they could add more Disney songs into the soundtrack.

Angelica Firefly any valid source for this because Disney didn't mention that this was its final run and if you compare this years final run to 1996 1996 was a farewell run this wasn't a farewell run and if it was Disney would have told us after it started but I believe that it will return

My favorite was watching the dancers, they dragged me away, they caused me to pursue dance to one day be in the future parades (and if it does make a come back, in the electrical parade!)

0:00 through 5:30 is the BEST BEST BESTEST part !! I seen it live but had no recording equip/smart phone etc. to record it !

I am suddenly feeling sentimental about this parade because i know how beautiful it was, i haven’t heard anything about it but would really love it it returned for one last tour of duty or if it was updated to Mainstreet electric parade 2.0

Darthsimpletext I’m hoping the later, this parade is to popular to be retired. If it does make a comeback they should at least update the parade units to reflect more like Tokyo’s version just on a smaller scale since Disneyland is smaller compared to Tokyo Disneyland

I saw the show three days before my birthday. It brought tears to my eyes to see my mom so happy. I'm making a version for my band to play my senior year, at the last concert.

The Disney higher ups decided to make the change to the new soundtrack which make sense and due to a musical flaw in the original baroque hoedown soundtrack prior to Disney using the soundtrack in the parks.

I worked there back in the 70's. My job was to make sure all the speakers worked and were sync'd with the zone speakers';

wow that's cool! since that was pre-digital and everything controlled mechanically and analog I'm sure, what was the setup for the master audio control system in Disneyland and what kind of BGM system was used? I was always intrigued as a kid then on how the soundtrack was broadcasted...

@@Geeker82 NPX. This system is an audio matrix system which enables users to broadcast diversified sources selectively. The NPX system starts with 8x8(basic), and also expandable up to 32Xn. Through various module compositions, it can be installed from small-size to large-size broadcast system for its application scale such as hotel, restaurant, seminar room, conference center and even Disneyland. Sorry for not answering you sooner cause I've been sick. And it's likely it isn't used anymore due to bigger and better equipment.

Pixar Play Parade is staying at Disneyland until November 4 (after that, play time is over apparently, *literally*) and Paint the Night is staying at DCA until November 7 to finish it's "limited time run". But I did hear a rumor suggesting that PTN is coming back after Festival of Holidays ends at DCA in 2019...

Hello y’all! So…..I wrote the Main Street Electrical Parade on Chrome Music Lab, and I’m premiering that on my channel a week from now (same day that the actual parade is coming back to Disneyland)! I believe I wrote the original version and not this version, but still. So excited and the music is just so great and nostalgic!!

Confirmed date to return is April 22nd with an all new Finale Float replacing To Honor America.

And it's coming back for it's 50th Next year since Disney just confirmed it on TikTok. But a date is yet to be determined.

I keep coming back to this every so often attempting to synch of 5 playbacks (one for each intro zone) but I find after synching 2 it gets to be a jumbled mess)

after reading your on what your attempting I did some playing around myself, come to find out you'll need to place the intro audio and fanfare give or take about 11 seconds in on top of the Baroque Hoedown track making sure the tempo lines up so that the intro fanfare ends exactly as the Baroque Hoedown loops again

the light thing the multicolored spotlights do while the intro happens is my favorite part like basically 🟣🟣 OO OO OO OO 🟣🟣 OO OO OO OO 🟣🟣 OO OO OO OO 🟣🟣

no reason, the raw audio file I have has that 3 second delay but decided to leave it in which is why you see that in the video...

I wonder how does disneyland get the money to pay all the lights in the parade

Doesn't this music just make you wanna get up on your feet and dance. Probably make you wanna swing your partner round and round and maybe even do the Charleston, the V-Step and the Side to Side

I suppose they would be the same people to call someone a liar if they heard "Love you Down" INOJ version and said they heard that song in the 80's. The 1977-2009 version is much better. This re-recording is too bland and now sounds like kiddie music. Just too cutesy instead of edgy.

true I feel the same way but musically it needed to be updated to the new soundtrack and there's a reason for that. A bit of background history to this, the original Baroque Hoedown which is the name of the soundtrack was composed in a 2 beat tempo with a third beat in one measure of the entire song and if you were a parade performer at the time of when the original soundtrack was being used and wasn't paying attention you'd be marching/dancing on the wrong foot which drove the parade choreographers nuts for years and begged for the music to be rerecorded. Jean-Jacques Perrey the original composer for Baroque Hoedown in 1967 never intended nor was expecting for it to be used as a parade soundtrack but was pleasantly surprised to hear his music come down main street one night when he went to Disneyland.
