You’ve said it, Disney World may have more themed territory, I mean they do have a lot (hotels, the disney world park, animal kingdom, epcot, blizzard beach, etc) but Disney Land holds a place in my heart for this parade and all the great memories

Disney World should run this show forever. This was and always has been the perfection of Magical Innocence. I 1st saw it at five years old in 1978, then 11 in '84, 24 in '97 and last at 37 in 2010. Used to be in awe, now it brings tears to my eyes. It needs to never change. And never go away. ❤

I love Tinkerbell waving her glowstick wand and making faces at the audience! Also, the whirly bugs and turtles! And Elliot! And those girls dancing as the parade leaves!

This was the very 1st Disneyland parade I saw when I was 5 years old. It brings back so many memories. I'm now 40 years old. Makes me tear up seeing this..especially seeing Pete's Dragon and Pete. One of my favorite movies!!

I didn’t enjoy this parade enough when I was younger, and I can barely watch this video without a tear in my eye. What I would give to see those floats traverse the streets of the Magic Kingdom once again....

I always get teary during the Cinderella section. She was my favorite princess growing up and I remember watching this parade and wishing I could wear one of those hoop skirt dresses with lights. This parade is so magical and I’m so sad it didn’t get to celebrate its 50th anniversary with the Magic Kingdom’s 50th.

I just bought the Disney album from the late 70s that had this sone and Timi Club and Pirates and all of them on it. Such great memories and seeing the Main Street Electrical Parade in 1979 was so amazing

This parade was my childhood, my young adulthood as a CM and I saw it in my 40s at MK in 2013. My eyes teared up with joy and sadness because I miss this parade so much. It holds a special place in my heart.

THIS WAS MY FAVORITE PARADE AT THE MAGIC KINGDOM!!! I LOVED THE MUSIC. SO UPSET THEY GOT RID OF IT!!!

My husband has never been to Disney but I have. We are supposed to go in the next couple of years so I showed him this video and he didn't think it looked like that big of a deal. When you can feel the heat from the lights and vibration of the music, getting handshakes from characters, and smelling those "Disney" smells; "big deal" is an understatment!

I hope I get to see this live at least once more in my lifetime. Brings tears to my eyes every time.

The girls at the end made the video. The sheer joy! My favorite parade.

Those nights waiting for the electrical parade were the best nights at disney. Hearing the music start was such a magical feeling. Even after almost 4 years, I still cry watching it.

I’m so sad they took this away, and this was my favorite part of my entire Disney experience!

The Main Street Electrical parade surely lit the streets of Main Street Up!! It’s like pixie dust over there! ✨ 🧚‍♂️

this is my childhood right here summed up in 23 minutes. this parade and wishes were the best parts of magic kingdom days while on vacation when i was little, and now both are gone :,( side note: this parade song is unmatched)

My family would always sit right where the parade starts (the firehouse) and I remember always watching to figure out how the floats worked. Now I’m on a path that could lead me to become a Disney imagineer, it’s funny how many little things lead us to who we are today.

This parade will always have a special place in my heart. 2015 December 20th it was my birthday and I was in Disney at this parade. It was so magical seeing this parade once again. But who would know it would be the last time I saw it in person.

I remember going to WDW every summer as a kid and this parade is what I always looked forward to the most. All the lights and costumes and characters so lovely and we'll put together and the music is very catchy. I love everything about this parade was so sad when they took it out 😥 it brought back so many memories when I watched this video. This parade will always be missed and cherished.

In the 1970s, Walt Disney Productions chose this tune to be the theme for the Electrical Parade. It was extraordinary, I didn't know about it because the publishers said nothing to me. It was by chance, in 1980, that I went there and was so surprised to hear Baroque Hoedown arranged for a full orchestra. - Jean-Jacques Perrey

Watching this takes me back as a small boy in the 90s. It certainly was a special time at WDW in those days.

I always start crying the second they make the announcement. Geesh. So many great memories of the Disney Electrical Parade.

Tinkerbell's float is lovely

I really like the layers of sound every object has and still in the melody of the track.

Sitting here watching this with my 4yrs old granddaughter. She was amazed jumping all around. I would have loved for her to experience this {my favorite parade ever} in person. So many childhood memories. 🥺

Hands down the best and most magical experience for adult or child. My favourite. Love "The Baroque Hoedown" music theme. It just goes with the magic of it all. Happy and light.

So glad I got to see this parade before it was removed in 2016. I remember my family and I caught the parade just in time, and a Haunted Mansion employee walked right up to us and said we can sit in the front row with her! A family behind us was so mad at this, but I found it hilarious and so did the Disney cast member. The mother kept hitting the back of my head with her camera and mumbling comments under her breath such as "Parades are for children." The cast member and I just smirked the whole time. During one point I pretended to look swiftly at something as the woman kept banging my head with her camera and sent it flying right out o her hand! I'll never forget that moment! 😂 😂

Holy crap I remember this YEARS ago in Orlando when I heard that music and thought we were gonna miss it and fuckin DARTED to the parade with my family and felt the music sped up as I ran😂😂.... yes I made it everyone

I miss this parade. The last time I saw it in person I was 5-6 years old back in the late 90s. It’s been about 22-23 years since then. Memories.....

Aw, we were in Disney yesterday and today I showed this to my son -since they no longer do it. :( I remember being stunned as a kid the first time I saw this - it was brand new then. This video is amazing. I love the girls at the end - that right there is what makes Disney so amazing - that EVERYBODY gets totally into it 100 percent! :)

The Baroque Hoedown has that effect. I have soft spot for it as it takes me back to 1990. And you know what they say: "If it's not Baroque, don't fix it." 😁

The sound, by the way, is the best of ANY of the videos. Kudos on that.

Disney brought this back for one month and I was able to see it in person. So happy I was able to experience this after it was retired and brought back to life for a short time!

PLEASE DO something like this but for wishes a nighttime spectacular!!

The most magical parade!

The true magic of Disney World / Disneyland is at 21:00 as three teenage girls, who wouldn't normally be caught dead acting so dorky and free in public, are having the time of their lives after the parade. I saw it in my own kids too on our trips there.

I really wish they would bring this back for their 50th... that would be awesome... bringing back my childhood memories... if I'm gonna be honest... I was pretty upset when I heard that they where taking the Main Street Electrical Parade away...

I haven't seen this since I was there in 1986! I'm 46 yrs old and I still have the book and cassette tape of Walt Disney world that includes the songs of the rides and this Main Street Electrical Parade. I'm sad to hear that they have done away with it. This was great.

I really wish they would bring this back!

Best parade ever! They should have never removed it. So happy I was able to take my daughter for her to see it! I remember sitting on the ground with a bunch of children and clapping and being so loud for the characters to notice us 😅 and gave a couple of parents a break. My daughter is now fifteen and still remembers that evening like it was yesterday ❤

God I miss Walt Disney World Resort and as someone who lives in the UK, it's not like I was able to go regularly in the first place. I was due to be there in last April. I really hope for better times ahead for all of us. Please stay safe, y'all

Wow......how I miss the old days, at WDW! Been there, and rode Space Mountain at least 30 times.....this was the highlight!

I remember seeing this when I was like 3. We have it on footage too.

I remember every time me and my dad stayed at Disney,we would watch this show, it was the best show to end a magical day at Disney. Then I would be knocked out in the car lol

I was 6 the first time I saw it. Another guest overheard that it was my first time seeing it, and told me to sit on the curb next to a trash can right where the floats came out. That’s my first ever wdw memory and I think it will always be my favorite (although seeing galaxy’s edge for the first time is a close second)

A fun fact: did you know that the soundtrack was made by Gershon Kingsley and Jean-Jacques Perrey? The song which begins the parade is called Baroque Hoedown, which was released in 1967 on the album "Kaleidoscopic Vibrations: Spotlight on the Moog".

I don't really remember the visuals of this, but boy did I play the heck out of the record we got back in 76/77 timeframe. Good musical memories. Sad that they felt they had to remove such an encompassing piece of musical art.

Fun fact The lighting system used for shows such as this one, and others both in Disney World and Disney Land, is a custom Light-O-Rama setup. Light-O-Rama says it loud and proud (as they should) that their controllers and logic boards are what powers/controls a lot of the lighting there. I always wondered what controlled their lights and there ya have it!
