I mean, he is a musician, and illegitimate children were common in Mexico I believe. So many cute musicians played with the hearts of the girls of my family for generations. My great grandma ( whose heart was broken by a musician) would even throw things at my at my grandfather when he was romancing my nana with his songs. He was a player as a boy. My dad was also a musician and was also a player.

This is such a good film! I love a lot of the little details in it, like how Héctor is barefoot for most of the movie and then gets a pair of Rivera shoes at the end or how he calls Miguel chamaco (meaning "kid") until they figure out the twist, then he switches to mijo (meaning "son"). Probably one of my favorite Pixar movies for pointing out the tiniest details like that tbh

This is my favorite Pixar movie ever because it has so many little details that just make the movie even better. I am Mexican, I live in Mexico and just seeing all of the details in this movie and all of the culture that they used made me SO happy One of the things I loved the most was the fact that Dante was a Xoloescuincle, the most expensive breed in Mexico (I think, they are very famous I know that for sure). It is said that this breed will guide you to the afterlife. This is why Dante wanted Miguel to go with Hector so bad, because he knew that was the right thing to do; he was trying to guide Miguel I just love this movie so much, it feels so personal to me
@alharairah2214

I live in the US but my dad was born and raised in Mexico and I visit often to see family. This movie meant so much to me, all the little details, the atmosphere, the spirit-it made me so giddy seeing it in theatres!!
When you realize that Coco first called Miguel Julio, which is the name of his dead great-grandfather he meets later. Who is in turn Coco's late husband. ; A ; Furthermore, the novel takes this one further in stating that Miguel actually looks like Julio did when he was a boy.

this movie was so healing for me, i watched it at just the right moment (after a friend's death), and it became my favourite disney-pixar movie. Also i'm hispanic (although not mexican), so i resonated a lot with the culture and the characters and stuff, if you can please watch it in Spanish, or at least listen to the songs in Spanish, cause it's sooo much better!!

Your final death happens when no one remembers you. Or, when you get crushed by a giant bell for a second time.
Dante was able to go through because he’s a xoloitzcuintle, in Mexican culture those dogs are said to be able to guide souls to the Mictlán, the “other side” basically. They can go back and forth between both worlds. He’s a pretty important part of the movie actually

Oh please girl eventually check out more of some underrated but still just as great animated movies, such as "The Iron Giant" "Cats don't dance" also "Treasure planet" too is another underrated classic.
If you notice when the family gives Miguel his blessing the petal glows but when Ernesto does it the petal doesn’t. That just confirms he was not family.

My favorite Pixar film: You're watching it. 🤣 What a take. "Your husband walks out, you just build an empire." Girl, you would get along swimmingly with Imelda. I like how you don't just react to these, you actually edit and enhance your reactions. Given how readily de la Cruz claims Miguel, I'm sure he knows he might have left offspring. He was probably trying to recall who the most likely great-great-grandma was. Fridge horror: Héctor was 21 when he died, he died IN 1921, and he shares his birthday with his VA, which is November 30. So Héctor was trying to get home in time for Christmas.

You should react to 'The Book Of Life'! I feel like people don't give much credit to it. Its a really good movie. Hope you make a video about it :) Also thanks for your funny reactions
I loved that this movie focused on Dia de los Muertos (sorry for any bad spelling!) when I first heard of this holiday as a kid I thought it was such a beautiful tradition & amazing way to connect to loved ones who had passed. made me want to find that in my own culture. Also the makeup, outfits, ceremonies, etc of this day are so striking 😍

I've seen it like 6-7 times, haha. Coco is built with great animation and displaying Mexican culture. My favorite Pixar movie is Ratatouille.
"That thing is terrifying, just like momma Imelda" 😅
As a mexican, this movie is everything ❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️
I like how you added the ost of attack on titan at 3:03 to 3:13 it made me laugh so bad xDD
I’m Mexican and this movie 🍿 is close to perfection they did the culture justice and although the day of the dead was not something we grew up celebrating because my family moved to the US when I was young this is a tradition I’ve started for my family and we watch COCO every year as part of the celebration 😁
I think that she wanted to have music but it hurt too much for her mom. I mean He left and I'm sure he sent letters but then they stopped and then the straw that broke the camels back was the song remember me. Because Hector wrote that just for Coco and Imelda hearing it on the radio and stuff just solidified her " no more music " policy for the family. She felt like he sold out and didn't care about the family anymore so she didn't care about him anymore. Until Miguel came along. And now Hector is back in the family and he's got a new vest and shoes on his feet and his walk is even better.
Am i the only one who doesn’t cry during remember me. Do not get me wrong, i feel it. It is very touching, but i cry during mi proud Corazon especially when you see coco hugging her daughter and hector grabbing the guitar from Miguel. Sniffs. Sniff sniff.

I'd like to share a little story. I went to see this movie in cinema. Apparently there was this crazy guy was jumping from screen room to screen room and for some reason he decided to sit next to me and start up a conversation/hit on me. I ignored him for the most part and he left. After the movie was over I saw him again outside. So I went on holiday to Mexico with my grandparents and we all saw coco for the first time when we got back and it shocked us how much it reminded us of the trip
The cousin who gives Miguel the snarky side-eye in the plaza is playing a violin/fiddle at the end. Most likely, she was a bit mean to Miguel because she was also drawn to music and mad that she had to hide it. Small little detail I finally noticed on my...10th? rewatch lol.
