Disney Mascots Are NOT As Friendly As You May Think..
Welcome back to Fantasy World, today on the channel we are going to check out The crazy stories told by the mascots at Disneyland. As Walt Disney himself once said, The House of Mouse is the Happiest Place on Earth. Both Walt Disney World and Disneyland attract millions of fans and tourists of all ages every year with the rides and attractions, Disney characters and princesses “in the flesh”, and the general magical feeling. This fantasyland is a bucket list trip for many travelers and families with children growing up with Disney movies and parents longing for the nostalgia it brings. However, if anything and everything is possible at the parks, then that includes things that are less savory. Some things are just rumors; urban legends about what goes on within the gates and behind the scenes. But other stories have more truth to them, some of which have even been widely covered by the media.
Employees often speak of the atrocious treatment of “cast members” at the parks by both guests and higher-ups. A common complaint is about the lack of water and the strict rules imposed on those portraying characters in mascot costumes; heatstroke is frequent among those cast members who perform mascot-suit roles. Others have reported sexual harassment and other forms of abuse, both from guests and their managers. Some guests have also reported altercations with cast members. One woman sued Disney in 1976, claiming that a cast member portraying one of the Three Little Pigs in the “It’s a Small World” attraction sexually harassed her, going so far as to grope her. Disney disproved this by presenting the costume, which had short, inoperable arms that made it impossible for the cast member to grope anyone while in costume. I remember one time a Chucky cheese mascot walked up to me in my kid form, and gave me a high five. It would be the best memory of my life if he didn't tower over me LIKE A BOWAS

🤣 what a memory!
thankfully many mascot encounters are still done at a safe distance these days and frankly I hope Disney keeps this a thing for the foreseeable future, guests can't be trusted with hand-on-hand encounters so the safe distance meet and greets are so much better for everyone.

actually, they are allowing close ups again. However instead of one character attendant. I see 3 with one character now on average. sometimes I see even security being near characters lately
The one we found shocking was when a guest would attack a mascot for no reason, after all, the whole job is to make the kids a dream come true! 🦖
I wonder what goes on at Six Flags parks among Looney Tunes characters.
I spent 5 years as an actor at Disney, I still have trauma.

@@mrcactuar8515 everything they could fit me in. You'll have 1 to 3 main, but you will play everything your size, and I'm not a tall man. generally, the shorter you are, the more valuable you are to the company. i enjoyed the gig, just hated the company.

bro, so one time I was in chucky cheese. That girl duck or bird was walking around with chucky. I seen her piece of hair sticking out. Like a strand!! I was only a kid so I didn’t understand. So it got ruined for me knowing it’s fake. my childhood was ruined
