Thanks for your video…I too have the same issue with water collecting even when using the “heat dry” and “extended dry” options. Today was the first time I noticed numbers while I was refilling my Jet Dry dispenser. Embarrassing, but in my defense where the numbers are located is in a shadowy area. But the arrow is pointing at the 1, so I’m going to set it to 4 and see if that makes a difference with the bowls that normally have water sitting on top of them. Hopefully this makes a difference…🤞

Unfortunately, there is no way to avoid water that collects in oddly shaped bottoms or other water holding surfaces. That comes down to the dishwasher itself and its settings, ex. heat dry. That is why I usually wait for the dishes to finish, and then right after, I leave the dishwasher open for a few minutes to let the heat/steam dissipate. Then, I remove all the dishes and shake them off by hand (may still be pretty warm) and place them back on the rack. Within 10-15 minutes, they'll be completely dry and clean. I try to avoid leaving dishes in the washer overnight since all the remaining water in the dishwasher (collected in the basin, in/on dishes, or simply as vapor) will form as condensation on the dishes and leave a weird, slippery texture. Makes me feel like I need to rinse them again.

Rinse Aid has nothing to do with your dilemma. you can solve your problem by tilting any flat bottom items.
