Over the course of my 25 year career, I’ve been in hundreds and hundreds of houses. Brand new, lived in and abandoned. I have never seen anything like the rugs in these videos.

Maybe these come from flooded homes..people throw them away or he finds them somehow.

I was just thinking that I’m not sure why I watch them because they are all the same. They all start with a suspiciously dirty carpet and end up remarkably clean. I will admit that this one is remarkably colourful.

I sometimes wonder, do you ever have any idea of the hidden beauty/colour of a blackened carpet before you start? Do the owners maybe show you an early photo?

A remarkably colourful rug but I wouldn’t want it anywhere in my house. It would clash with almost everything.

Some get rugs like this from the garbage dump, clean them, then donate them to animal shelters

That's not a staged prop. I been cleaning rug and floor rugs. You can see that stuck dirt on the mats are real if it is staged it shouldn't be hard to clean.

Yeah that's almost as if someone was making it disgusting on purpose. Insurance claims maybe? As long as it's cheaper to clean than replace it makes sense I guess

Flooded homes, fire damages, trash dumps, and some that have been used outside and put on the side of road from what I saw in once of his previous video comment sections.

Ich frage mich natürlich, wo jemand solche modrigen dreckigen Teppiche finden kann? Auf der Müllhalde jedenfalls nicht. Höchstens in moorastigen Gebieten, in dem vielleicht Leichen transportiert wurden. 😂 Aber nun mal im Ernst. Ich fände es total richtig schön, wenn es die Reinigung von Teppichen wieder im Angebot gäbe. Jedoch bei d. jetzigen Preis/Leistung-System kann sich niemand das leisten. Da ist ein neuer Teppich billiger, als eine Grundreinigung des gebrauchten Teppich.

Yes, I believe these are staged. All start black, same color/consistency of dirt/mud…BUT I don’t care, in that I watch these type videos for the ASMR effect, which I believe is the intention.

Yup, but even if it's actually staged, this is great advertising for his company if he owns one. Like someone said earlier, if he cleaned "standard" rugs, this wouldn't be so satisfying. 😄 So good job, Mr. Change 👍

Flood damage, fire damage, furniture and carpets exposed to the elements for a long time. Left in rubbish dumps or by the side of the road as the owners didn’t think they could be rescued.

Yes, non of these rugs would have bee taken from the side of the road or a dump as the dirt is too evenly distributed and frankly too easily removed. It’s all for ASMR. just enjoy the process and reveal.
