@@dowhatIdo its usually not to expensive for NIS games. Even when disgaea 5 release, its around 15 dollars in Indonesia's steam price. I also expect its cheaper (around Rp.200K-300K, or 14-20 dollar)

Honestly though it is if you're a big enough fan of the series. I know I did lol If an anime fan can buy 100s of dollars in figures and stuff, of course the companies will make the wanted product expensive.

Imagine a musou/warriors game with all the characters of Disgaea, like super high action over the top battles.

That'd be pretty cool if they keep some aspects of the game alive like item world, classes, and making characters super strong through grind. Very small studio though, would be hard to imagine.

It's weird that there is still so much "cut content" from the transition to 3-D just hope by the next 3-D game we get more of the classes back and its more comparable to 5 by then.

Probably, they now have a base they could work with. I understand why they left so much out, small studio 3D modeling, takes some time. They can just use D6 as a base and continue to work and expand upon this, although I hope they will return to 2D but I highly doubt that.

I wish they had a mode to turn off the inflated stats. It bugs the hell out of me :/. I might just stick with D5. Still need to finish Carnage Baal. Plenty of work to do lol.

To be fair it does add that Disgaea flair of absurd numbers, but it feels very unearned. You might as well chop off the last 3 digits of every stat in the game because functionally that's what they are. 20K ATK in D6 is equivalent to 20 in every other game in the series.

So, basically, Zed is like a Saiyan

Just maxed out my stats, auto battles are OP as hell. 5 was way more polished this felt really rushed. 3D is nice but I prefer the 2D sprites, story was mediocre at best, overall the worst Disgaea in my opinion. I didn't like those absurd numbers in this one, felt like they did that for the sake of having zeroes.

I have no problem with the 3D animations or the transition to 3D My issue is the fact that the transition is missing so many of the older characters, I gave it a bit of a meh on initial release figuring they were going to sell it all as DLC characters, but when complete came out I realized that this was officially the worst release in the series.

I only tried the demo. I really didn’t understand what to do. I’ve played tons of tactics RPGs, but idk I couldn’t attack to save my life. I’d finally do something some how and it would either miss or did obscenely low dmg(I forget it’s been a minute) I should try disgaea 1 or 5 or something idk

@@notthisguyagain8557 nope but just my opinion the first 30 hours was great but it feels to clunky. the way you lvl also i don't care for it, and it feels like the same thing like i did not accomplish anything was just to far away from the last game way off, there are aspects i liked but not enough for me to mention. when i played disgaea 5 after playing this game i felt empty. 6 left such a bad taste in my mouth it killed 5 for me well at least for months now im back to playing 5 again and still loving it

I’ll never understand why people would prefer to auto-battle. Setting up each character to let off its attack like dominoes, then watching them go is one of the most satisfying parts of playing Disgaea, for me. It means getting to know my team, and taking the time along the journey to tweak their weapons and skills so they fight exactly the way I want them to. Setting up attack configurations, especially through the Item World, and watching those bonuses pile up is the meat of the game for me. I paid a small fortune for the PS4 version of this game when it was released here in Japan, and I regret that as it is. There’s no way I’ll be doing that a second time for a game that’s missing so much.

As a boring grinder, I just grind my top dog to lv9999 then use that character to help the rest of the cast to get the best equipment. Disgaea on low level is tactical but once you grind enough the only thing that matter is how big your stats are.

Really really sad D6 ended up being like this... I was Immediately sold on the character designs and concept, but the gameplay kills everything else for me. The animation of sprites feels waaayy too choppy in 3d, and the style doesnt have that same kick for certain special attacks the way the older games had. Things could be crazy scaled up or down and itd look amazing no matter what. After waiting so, so many years for a new disgaea after 5 (which is probably my second favorite to 4), this was a huge disappointment. Fingers crossed 7 doesnt fail the same way this did, though it seems like it might be too late since D7 has already been announced, and its gameplay is 3D...

I do feel 6 was overall a downgrade from past games in the series. The worst part about it for me were the inflated numbers. They meant nothing since the start of the game, and seemed overall cosmetic.

this probably the PS4 version that released in Japan along side the switch version on release. Don't know Why NIS America didn't bring this game a year ago.

this game felt like a mobile port in many ways. I didnt really judge the game and then I decided to pirate to see why theres alot of hate towards this game.. The anger and fustration is there and rightly spot on. Not even classes to have.. not even monsters to have.. and the 3d artstyle is a downgrade to the 2d artstyle i love in Disgaea and the rest of the series.. Nippon Ichi shot themselves in the foot with this one and its honestly the worst of the series gave us.

D6 is a decent game, it made some steps forward, but feels like it took more backwards. Gameplay is fine, but so much complexity was cut out, like weapon skills, reduced classes, the endgame was a boring gauntlet of the same enemy. The characters are fine, but the story left something to be desired.

I played the demo on ps5 and it does feel like that the in game models need some more polygons and that some things from the previous games need to be added back, I think it's a pretty good game. Going to wait for a sale tho

This maybe the first Disgaea game I will miss.

I seem to be one of the few people that like the 3D style and this release means finally playing with an acceptable frame rate.

I think the models look pretty good for the cel-shaded artstyle they're going for. My main problem with the shift to 3D is that a lot of attack animations lack the impact and speed that earlier games had. The Martial Artist I feel is the absolute worst offender of this feeling. Although it seems like the animators got better as they went along, because the DLC characters have fantastic attack animations. Killia, Asagi, Rozalin, and Usalia especially. Hell Girl Laharl even has better poses in her skills compared to normal Laharl's. Hopefully if we ever get a Disgaea 7, they can keep up that standard of animation quality.

Probably the only disgea I skipped. My does this remove so many of the features that were established in the older games. It was so jarring. I'm glad I bought it off steam so I could refund it right away.

As someone who really likes D1C because it's really wacky and crunchy but not nearly as much as 4C in its postgame, I still don't know if I'll like D6 for its more streamlined aspects, or if I should just man up and learn how 4 or 5 works. And now I just learned I need to decide whether to play it on Switch that I bought in a sale months ago or do this complete gimmick on PC lol.

So ur prinny is no different than a normal human. OH YEAH AND THEY ALSO LIFT. 5.graphics, I'm not that into great graphics and stuff. As long as it's a good disgaea game. But THIS IS NOT A GOOD GAME. 6.You start off at 10k stats? What's with the big numbers?! Like that would hide how bad the game is. Good review man. I think though, we should stop pointing out the simplicity of video games and take them for what they were meant to be. A world we can pretend is real. I remember when this game called clicker hero or something came out on steam and I literally pulled an all nighter playing it and then suddenly it hit me. All I'm doing is clicking to make an artificial strength number go up and repeating a loop to fight against sprites that have "strength" attached to them but it's just a number with a different letter at the end. My motivation to play was killed instantly. Then as I played other games I realized that every video game is pretty much just a loop with artificial numbers that say this mob is stronger than this one but it doesn't really mean anything, it was just a means of getting me to play the game and attach myself to a fake strength number. Well I guess it doesn't matter much what you say, but my point is that we ought to stop pointing out the simplicity of what games are and just take them and talk about them the way we did as kids. Real worlds with numbers representing real strength, even though obviously it isn't. Idk makes me be able to get into the games more by not just thinking of the numbers as placeholders and content locks essentially. Even though that is what it is.

thanks for your opinion but we have our own we bought the game because we thought the people making these games want to make it for the masses and to make a good profit for the people that have expectations beyond how a game is made and feels listen to the people paying your bills they are the ones buying your games just like ff7 remake i like the game and i look at it as it is. it is good and bad they took something nostalgic and ruined it i get its a remake but you dont change what made this game what it was, turn based free world and now just a button mashing game almost all games are going that route. almost no games with random battles i dont want to see what im going to fight i want random battles i want strategic battles also look at tactics orge it is selling well for the most part they kept it old school so im looking at it for what it is im still disappointed

i was ready to suppot this game until i found out about the auto battle and the stupid high numbers, auto battle just gives the game an excuse not to balance the main fights properly cuz its not as hard to skip the grind to do them, the grind while boring was mostly for the people who wanted to do it and find all the extra end game stuff but now like a mobile game it just plays itself until im happy. and while i understand disgaea usually pushes the number game this feels like a parody of the series now, once your hitting millions and billions for hp and damage it just makes those numbers meaningless, the numbers were kinda big before but i could always get an easy feel for how much they meant, now leveling up 20 times and dealing 5000 damage so easily makes both things feel less meaningful.

disgaea 1 on the psp had pvp its was so much fun. and you could customize the fight and set level caps i have no clue why they never implemented it in other games. spent hours in the Adhoc app on ps3 playing with people across the world.

I would of been completely cool with them sticking with the 2D sprites we all know well and love. I do not really mind these new ones. But the sacrifice of all the classes and monsters takes away from feeling like you have your own diverse crew you want to tackle things with. I especially do not like that they removed my old generic healer to leave in the trap healer. I do not really mind that they trimmed some skills away. But making weapon skills locked into a class sucks. So far the story is pretty meh. I do not like the MC Zed, rated to all the male characters in the Disgaea universe he would be at the bottom even amongst generic classes. I really love how XP is shared on the map. Makes it way easier to raise a lot of characters instead of my go to small handful of powerhouses. If anything, I would love it if they started releasing generic classes as dlc. would make the game more enjoyable with the classes I love and actually entice me to play it as much as I have the other titles. So far I am not really motivated to finish all the post content has to offer. I only really got the game to show that I still support NIS, but would like them to know that this game could of done much better. I do not really care to see the big numbers. I just see them as a .0001 of what a 1 should be. I would not mind seeing the big numbers when we can break the level cap of 9999. Now I need to get filthy rich in game since I am not at a point to efficiently grind class mastery to 6 at twenty star difficulty to buy juice boxes.

I think it can still be fun despite simplicity compared to previous games, but why tf is it $70? Should have been at that $40 discounted launch price. I already finished D4 and D5, but i think its just better replaying the older ones than getting this at full $70 price. Also, hoping that NIS remaster Disgaea D2, that game is absolutely worthy for a re-release

A good reason to play Disgaea 6 -- with auto-battle and auto-repeat on (and with Demonic Intelligence unlocked, which can be found in the Dark Assembly), you can auto-grind and don't even have to look at the screen, just do something else. I have very little time for gaming myself, so I welcome the changes in Disgaea 6! It's genius.

i literally let the game autobattle for hours on farming stages so i was OP lol its my favorite addition to the series in a while. grinding before was fine but took too long for my taste, especially with how repetitive it is to be efficient.

I don't like 99 million lv and too few dlc character, but the auto battle system can stay. I no longer have enough time for 5 hours grind for each super robo suit.

I think the change to 3D is ultimately good, but yeah, the game was overall lacking

Dunno if there’s going to be a channel showing it so here what I noticed the ps4 runs at 60 fps 900p performance and up to 60 fps 1080p with motion blur but menu’s runs at 30 fps for some reason in grafics all options look better and runs better then the switch.

I'm on PC, it has it's share of issues, but mostly plays okay. You can literally treat it like a phone idle game.

Honestly I think if they had more budget for animations the 3D models wouldn't be so jarring. I got bored of the isometric-facing sprites with the same poses over and over, and it made switching the view to frontal awkward

i'll stick with 5 i think. the 3D shift and huge lack of classes is a big no for me ^^'

The comedy, 4th wall breaking, insane level cap and damage output have always been one of the biggest highlights in any Disgaea game and it better not ever change. An SRPG that never takes itself seriously, balancing comedy and serious moments is what makes these games as they are. Taking these away is like taking away Mario's item abilities in side-scrolling Mario games and if the devs did a 180 and made future Disgaea game's stories too serious and emotional and the gameplay too difficult to where you have to really work just to level up then I won't be supporting the series anymore and will just have to play past titles. If people don't like the newer gameplay changes they can punish themselves by adding in harsh handicaps at the cheat shop in the main hub that will most definitely hinder a lot of their progress to pretend like they're playing a DS game or something. I love the changes they made in this game, especially the 3D change. I know this doesn't jive with a lot of long time fans, but I personally love it since many developers are already taking newer directions and styles with their games as well. I've played all of the previous main Disgaea titles, but Disgaea 5 is possibly my all time favorite. This one is quickly catching up to another of my favs.

Disgaea games are mostly about leveling your little computer people. Story and characters are pretty meh in most of the games. If I hear "Sardines" or "dood" one more time I gonna cry.

D4 (not biased) and D5 had really great main stories, and i enjoyed them start to end

Graphics are a fundamental part of a game. They're how the gameplay elements are portrayed to the user, and how they interact with it. Great graphics alone can't make a game great, but bad graphics can certainly ruin a game.
