    Behind the marketing gimmick of Bharatiya the new laws as designed are even more draconian designed to implement One party ruled dictatorial regime under the guise of democracy.

    CJI should be strong and honest...at least, he should start from now on..... and take an example from his senior team of 5.... then only all will get straight. BUT WHEN WILL HE ????

    Thank you for sharing, i just finished listening to it in parts- it's technically a clever step by the govt, Only strategizing for personal interests by mutilating law and order, constituency, democracy and the country as a whole.

    law purpose should be to make with precise perfection that little amendment needed; i have not read the new laws but this sounds serious to the integrity of the citizens and gross injustice

    Would want to point out about the new law effects on existing cases as someone asked in the panel - i personally think the gov supporters are capable to attach new charges along with the existing ones so that they can drag the accused, if not in favour, into the dangers of the new law and make his life miserable for not being a part of them!

    Since we know some of the provisions introduced attack fundamental rights as enshrined by the constitution, is it possible to take it to supreme court and take down these provisions? What other ways are there to challenge these laws that are about to be introduced?

    When corporates can give money to parties to purchase law making legislators, can we expect laws to be made to protect the common man?

    voluntary termination of pregnancy can be fatal and so such provisions need to be in place. What is the problem in a penal provision where a woman miscarries her child herself, without doctors concent. Also, its not the case that there is a taboo against pregnancy in India- the doctors perform abortion if patient wants it.

    According to these scholars, there is nothing good in the new Acts. They seem to be political in their criticism. And are boring also. Common man's biggest problem was inability to file FIRs - which has been eased. Second is threats of arrests which has been addressed in the new law. The biggest judicial issue today is pending cases. How will new laws affect this? No scholar is answering this. There are three terrorists in Parliament so curbing that is necessary. Yet another public issue is that people commit crimes and get out on bail. In old law, criminals with multiple murder charges roamed around free on bail. Justice Lokur says he has not read the new laws then why is he commenting? Panel members seem to be suffering from "Nagging Mother-in-Law" Syndrome. In any case all laws will be interpreted by judiciary so what is the fear? Did these scholars give their opinion when proposed law was opened to public for comments?

  • @tenshi3493
    @tenshi34938 күн бұрын

    These people are criticising the new law like, now everything will be doomed. How about the laws you were practicing all this while? How many criminals got convicted? If you are rich and if you can afford big lawers then you never gets convicted. The cases will drag on forever. And the judges snd public prosecutors and police who gets paid from our tax money happily keep on adjourning or set the criminals free. How diligently have you done your duties to the public ? Just look at the enormous amount of cases pending and the delay in getting justice. You all get high salaries and salary hikes automatically. How about the delayed justice system ? You all are responsible for this. Today if you are poor even if you are innocent, you may not get justice because you can't afford those exorbitantly priced lawers rsp. when the otherside is rich and powerful. So I believe you guys have no moral or ethical ground to question when someone tries to bring any change for good or bad.

    Look at the audacity of this professor. A true Hindu phobic. What a Hindu has to do with this code? Complete non sense. These were the teachers in law college...and that too of NLS. It shows how true it is when people say that the whole system was to supress Hindu community. And for what? Just to get some fame from American or European colleagues??!! Just to get featured in foreign magazine and interviews?? How pitty these fools are. Shame on thier knowledge and intelligence.
