Ok now I need you to check out Pixy. Very underrated group and I actually just caught them on tour last month here in Florida. They have 5 members now (used to be 6 but 2 left for health issues and another person joined) Wings is their debut song and it is insane. - Wings - Let Me Know - Addicted - Bewitched Is the order of the first four in their Temptation series.

"Who are You?" on many of your inquiries you were looking at Seulgi. She is the main dancer, and lead vocalist, the ACE of Kpop. She will be the main vocalist in ANY other group......but Wendy, the main vocalist, (the white haired Snow Fairy) yet is on another level.

Irene is the standard of visual, Wendy is the standard of vocals, Seulgi is the standard of dancing, Joy is the standard of sub vocal, and Yeri is the best Maknae. Red Velvet are a group known for their versatility and AMAZING b-sides. They are known as the group with the members that have the best vocals and so good in harmonizing. They have one of the best vocal lines in Kpop! WENDY is the BEST female vocalist of this generation. The fact is that internationally Red Velvet not as popular as 2 other girl groups from TOP3 (Blackpink, Twice, Red Velvet) because their music is sometimes hard to catch up and SM tends to change concepts every comeback. They do a lot of concept like I can't even explain how versatile they are. You might find some of it weird, creepy, aesthetic, girlcrush, cute or whatever it is, they're not afraid of trying something new which sets them apart from other groups. If you react to more Red Velvet, don't be surprised if you find yourself saying "Is this the same group?!?" Every comeback is completely different.

You'll see DIFFERENT universes in all of their MVs (they have different concept in each of them) though it's not really confirmed since their lore is still not explained very well, but it's tightly connected with SM's Kwangya lore. Yes, each SM group has their lores connected with each other but the most explained part is Aespa's lore. As for Red Velvet, they're like witches who kill men and sometimes, they do kill each other too yet they don't die. There was even a theory about how Irene controls the other members as shown at the end of one of their MVs where she was revealed as the puppeteer controlling the show (MV) and here in Psycho's case, the one who smirked while whispering Psycho because she was once again in control of the girls. You can search for the theories online, there are plenty of them. When I was a new fan a few years ago, I had so much fun deep diving about their lore theories lol Anyway, about RV's songs, they are divided into three sides. The RED which experiments occasionally with electronic and funk, often times it's more on pop too. Examples are Dumb Dumb, Russian Roulette, Rookie, Red Flavor, and Umpah Umpah. Then there's VELVET side which focuses on '90s-influenced R&B with elements of ballad and hip hop plus some elements of classic music too, I guess? Examples are Be Natural, Automatic, One of These Nights, Bad Boy, and Psycho. The third side is RED VELVET which is a combination of both. Examples are Zimzalabim (their wildest title track tbh), Birthday, and I think Really Bad Boy too. Fun fact! Since I noticed your BP merch, I think I have to share the fact that Red Velvet and Blackpink are literally besties! Like, Jisoo is really close with Seulgi (Jisoo once scolded Seulgi because Seulgi went live on IG while jogging at night by the Han River since it shows her location, so she got worried) while Jennie is close with Irene (when they had dinner, their photo went viral since they argued about the bill because both of them wanted to pay lol) and Yeri (Jennie joined one of Yeri's insta live before), and there are many more interactions between them. They're really just close with each other.

Red Velvet is the best kpop group all time, in my opinion. Discography is huge and amazing. They're all so pretty, and they're all so admired by the rest of the industry. They're just the best.

honestly no kpop group has compared to red velvet for me, their vocals are phenomenal and they have such a varied and amazing discography- arguably one of the best in kpop as a whole. There's no genre that you can't pull off, and if Red Velvet decides to do it, it shows the best performance. It's the most unique K-pop girl group. This is more true than you know. I have had 5 strokes in the last year. Listening to the girls calm the storm inside my head and have mitigated some of the worse effects.

It's funny how you love their different concepts here (rightfully so) but you've basically only seen one concept from them so far. There have two main concepts RED & VELVET. All the songs you picked are more on the Velvet side, which is a little darker, mysterious and badass whereas the Red concept is brighter, bubblier and more fun. I would say "Peek-a-Boo" is a combination of their Red and Velvet sides since it's dark, but the music is upbeat.

Idk if it was intentional or not, but these four mvs are more on the "Velvet" or "Darker" side of their discography. Which is my favorite!

I love your honest and natural reaction as first timer to see Red Velvet. All of them are really talented and is visual! They never repeat the same concept and is very experimental in their music. For Red Velvet, it is not about following what's trend in music, rather they are experimenting and making their own trend. Truly very unique! Not to be bias, but as a fan it never gets boring every comeback because we cannot tell what's the next concept, very teasing.
