I nearly cryied watching this piece of history. Thanks to GT Channel for sharing this footage, thks to Subaru and STI for bringing masterpieces of engineering since decades, thks to Bucky Lasek for his respectful behavior and knowledge. Japan really is a strong competitor when it comes to sports cars. Americans know how to bring it to spotlight so shout out to every car enthusiast all around the world

I got to race karts with Bucky and he was very humble and approachable. Super cool guy. Glad to see him getting these opportunities.

Im 37 yrs old, majority of my friends owns Audi, BMW and porsche although I do owned a BMW but theres no car I enjoyed more than my 15 STI. My friends often asked me "why do you owned such a boy racer car?" Like that Mazda Miata commercial says, it reminds when you were you.

I havent seen too many videos like this one that I held my hands tight and even sweated. I met Mr. Tatsumi once, he was very nice to the fans but professional in the pit, with the car (BRZ at Super GT). No matter where and what kind of engineering I'd be doing (learning aerospace engineering now), he is one of the engineers I always look up to.

i brought a 2001 gt forester turbo and it is fantastic with a few go faster bits and a good front rear end alighnment and took it to tasmania wild west coast for a driving holiday = more smiles per miles than anything i have ever driven.

why? It would be pointless. They use the 4cyl due to weight savings. There is no benefit to having a 6 or 8 cyl engine if you put the same amount of fuel and air into a smaller engine. You just save a lot of weight. Over 200lbs savings.

K Vee ???? I respect your Subbie respect, however the "secret" part they intend to keep is in regards to what happens on the inside, not the location itself. If they were trying to hide the location they wouldn't put a big blue Subaru sign on the front gate. Access is extremely limited as they state they even do background checks(..... Damn!), that's why the R&D that goes on inside is extremely confidential, hence why it's a top secret test track. In fact, many manufacturers have private test tracks who's locations are public knowledge.
