Without a co-driver in a powerful car like that and on such a road, 2 plays a major role. The memory of the driver and looking far ahead the road, the moment the curve's scanned, the eyes looks forward to the next one while entering the already scanned curve, driving without blinking an eye. Combining all those together comes the skills and the fast reflection of the driver. Rally, what an outstanding motor sports.

I'll never understand why the U.S. makes such a big deal about Nascar (at least from what I've seen), when THIS has existed. *Year later edit* Y'all took this shit too literally, which I guess also proves my point about Nascar and it's fans (coming from an American), lol. Never imagined a rhetorical statement would be refuted by explaining how Nascar is more marketable, than watching people drive by you one single time as they drive dangerously up a hill. Like yeah that's super obvious, but you figure Americans would be more about the much more dangerous sport of Rally than watching people go in a circle. But at the same time, I guess you can figure the opposite too, simply because of how we are 🤣

Apples to oranges. You go see a NASCAR event and you can see every corner from most vantage points, and the cars are much closer together. Rallying is subjectively more exciting but if you want to watch one in person you have to spend hours waiting in the woods and then you get to watch each car fly by one at a time for a few seconds and then it's over. I'm a fan of both disciplines and I'm about as minimal a fan of NASCAR as possible, but I definitely understand why it's so popular. It's also easier to follow when your gut is full of miller lite.

That run up Mt Washington was incredible, gave me shivers and the realization that one inadvertent or sudden mishap results in catastrophic situations untold. That car of Travis' was tearing the surface off that road and the chirps of the tires on that upper section were spectacular. Masterpiece!

Travis is one of the best of my era. No question he is and will be remembered as one of the greatest that has ever been behind the wheel. He was groomed for greatness and he has had his troubles along the way. But he has grown from them and learned from them missteps in his career. I wish I could have been brought up and been raised around the racing community but in life some time we are ment for other roads in life I know this know that I am older. If you surround yourself with people who have the means to provide opportunities like travis was presented at a early age then you have a better chance in life to become something but being born into poverty sometimes spins your life into something that you cant control i blam no one for what i have been through i just wish i would have surrounded myself with better people at a young age props to travis pastrana and all that he has accomplished in the racing industry

Like the Nordschleif but with even more death waiting. The speeds are lower but with varying surfaces, fewer visual cues on track, and little room for mistakes makes this a lot harder I think. You run off on a rally course and it's almost always very bad, so let's throw in some cliffs for added excitement... This is some intense racing and the drivers are amazing. Great vid!

Travis is so gifted and humble. Ive watched him for a long time now and he is one of the smartly crazy talented human being and athlete of our time. My biggest claim to fame is hitting 200 mph once a motorcycle I owned. I cant imagine doing things like that for as long as he has. I love rally and F1 and superbikes. A lot of people play professional " sports " but few do this . Thank you Travis and may God continue to bless you for my entertainment !! Lol

This just goes to show how Subaru is one of, if not the best, all around car manufacturer to date. From a young age I was always drawn towards rally racing and tried to watch it whenever it was on T.V. in the late 80's and 90's. Subaru quickly became my favorite with the Two door Impreza coupe 2.5 RS, which is still my favorite car to date. I had the pleasure of owning a 2000 Impreza Outback Sport 2.2 liter non-turbo which was a blast to drive, but left me wanting the 2.5 RS even more. One day I swear I'll finally get my hands on a coupe. The whole style of that car is just aggressive, sexy, and all around bad-ass. I wish they would release a new version of the Impreza two door couple but using the 2000 aesthetics with updated internals and upgraded motor. Nothing beats that AWD power that only comes from a Subaru. This video was awesome and I'm glad Travis set the new record. I would love to drive rally for Subaru, That would be the ultimate dream come true. So yeah....Subaru...awesome.
