"Jartopia" is another good channel that explores ecosystems in sealed jars, some of which have been going for years without interference. He doesn't update much anymore, though, so I might have to check this out.

I have a question. I want to take a container, fill it with fresh water from a lake or pond near my house, and see what happens. But can I do this in the winter? Or will everything be dormant?

@@deadmanswill Thank you very much, my son will be very happy🙂. We watch FF Posts together and enjoy♥️. Last year he wanted an aquarium for his birthday and of course like every beginner I put gravel on the bottom and bought various fish and disaster happened😞. Then I stumbled upon the FF channel, put sand over gravel and magic happened🙂. Now we have 3 aquariums 15L, 25L and 50L. In spring we are planning 150L with 6-7 beta females, 2 males and many many plants.

Hello, I come from Vietnam. Currently my fish tank is covered with a layer of small gravel, each piece about 0.12 Inches in size, the layer with a thickness of about 0.4 Inches. Soon, I will add a layer of sand that is 1.2 Inches thick. What I need to do is spread the layer of sand on top of the gravel layer, or should I place the gravel layer on top of the sand layer, or should I remove this gravel layer altogether? Please help me, thank you very much!
