We branch out from Italy and explore somewhere completely different. During a visit to Bulgaria we were able to do a tour and tasting at Villa Melnik in the Struma Valley. It is a first class establishment by any standards and their wine can hold its own against more traditional producers anywhere. Yes, even Italy. We were truly impressed.
