One thing that I will say is that I've been disabled since I was age 2. So to me, my level of ability is quite normal and natural. That puts me at a great advantage to people who become disabled later in life. I've had a lifetime to learn how to work around an unworkable world! And, thank you for your kind comment!

I’m in the process of putting my own tiny house on some waterfront property that I recently purchased first and then adding areas for more tiny houses that are disabled friendly. We will garden, fish and craft the days away! 😃 I also plan to put beehives on the property. Be the will of God.

A tiny home is just a small home, and even though hers has a loft, they can be built without a loft…so basically, as long as the disabilty is taken into account, anyone can live in one. Having less to take care of and smaller space to maneuver can actually make a tiny home better.

It’s nothing at all like the cookie cutter tiny homes they’ve been building the last five years for like $80k and up, my vision for a tiny house is like yours! It was actually refreshing to see a person who used the home as a shell so she could bring in furniture that she loved rather than everything be built in and "magazine" looking. This home is very personal...a nest just as she called it. Lots of charming items that make her feel connected to her past and those she loves/loved.

The only thing about these tiny house communities is that they park them so close together, it’s one thing to have a cozy tiny house, but another to have someone else’s windows right outside yours, and you hear them every time they sneeze... At least this community has a little land in the common area and surrounding areas. She’s adorable, very sweet person, and her house suits her well. God bless her and her Angel’s Haven.

@@gailmiller6333 Evil? You're a pretty messed up person if your idea of evil is someone liking cosy places. And you draw conclusions about a persons character from a single comment over something that trivial? You also need to clear up what exactly would I even return? Because I unlike you, I said nothing disparaging. The only thing I can assume is that you took issue with my saying "Other people can keep their open and spacious tiny homes" or perhaps saying a place would be "sterile" and "bland" in my opinion, But if so, its beyond pathetic to say those things to me over something so... petty. And its most certainly not even CLOSE to any form of evil. Its not like I made a personal attack on people who like that aesthetic. Its simply my view on that type of environment, I never said there was anything wrong with it for others. Though you certainly made a personal attack on me for it. As you so hypocritically said... To each their own. Btw, do you even see your own hypocrisy? Saying to each their own, but then throwing around statements like that? Saying I'm evil, that I'm miserable, that I lack character and implying I can't take back something or that there was even anything I said that merits I take it back? All whist being needlessly aggressive in your wording. I mean, you seriously need to take an inward look and reevaluate how something so silly, made you so toxic. Frankly, anyone who acts like that has no place questioning the character of others.

Yes, that is so important. Everyone should understand that there are NO RULES! I've had people criticize the fact that I'm not minimalist. Well, nobody has to be one certain way!

Just love Corinne's home. So cosy, great to see all the art on the walls and her eclectic mix of knickknacks and collections. The art on the cupboard at the back is beautiful, the garden is so pretty..just a lovely, welcoming vibe. Corinne is a gorgeous lady and tiny living obviously gives her joy.

Corinne, you probably already know this, but Jackson County, Missouri - particularly in Brookside - has raised the property taxes so high that many people who've lived there over 30 years are now considering leaving. We have to fight the county every 2 years to try and have their crazy market values decreased. You are so very fortunate to have moved away and live in this wonderful place!

Corinne your home is beautiful and having things like tiles from your childhood home above your hand basin in the bathroom and other items like your tall cabinet by your front door make your home more homely. I like the cozy seating area as well.

Corinne is awesome!! How brave she is to have her home built and move away from Missouri to the west coast!! As an older person, I want to have a tiny home but in my state/city/county (MO) they are not allowed. Since my children still live here, I take that into consideration as I don't want to be so far away that they'll have to deal with traveling a long distance to get to me in case of a health issue or my death. But, I would love to get out of Missouri!! Good luck to Corinne and thank you for sharing her wonderful home!

Thank you so much for posting! Corinne and her home were wonderful, and I so relate to her experience. Such a cozy and creative home. I also live with a disability and am older, but I still feel like the person I've always been. (My mother used to say this when I was young, and I didn't believe her:)) Loved that she is in a diverse community because that is the kind of place, I want to live...not separated from people in a gated community cocoon. This was just great--very inspiring!
