I just wish they would keep updating us on the asset editor since it's probably the most important thing right now.
I really dislike the part about drama with other creators. Don't be a drama channel, pls.

I’m cool w any discussion in these “podcast” episodes, think these are for the more genuine/personal side of the creator. Definitely would not want to see any in the other videos. My preference.

It's not our intention to cause drama, rather report sentiment - however I can understand your POV and the feedback, and tbf you may notice I'm looking at re-positioning a large chunk of my channel into my passion of Maps, and Studying City Planning at University which is truly a very positive thing - however regular CS2 content/news will continue as it comes in. And we both hope that people enjoy some of the new segments within this podcast. We both truly appreciate everybody watching and listening and seeing this podcast grow from its first episode to now - we take this feedback on board, as well as the feedback to add more positive things (we thought the showcasing of Subscriber Maps was very satisfying - huge smiles). This podcast from us, can improve and we will improve it. Thanks for your comment.

@@cityplannermismanages that’s good to hear as the cs2 news has got a bit boring as I couldn’t care less about the game
I did quite like Biffa. However when he took the deal with the known scam of Better Health and then tried to cover it up I had to take a break. In regards to creators hyping up the game while they had early access, you still have to share responsibility when you purchase something. No one is forced to purchase anything. Always be skeptical. There's plenty of information out there.
After the graphics and performance update I reinstalled CS2 to try again and as I've said before I got a noticeable boost especially due to DLSS. I went from 18-25fps on an empty map to 55-58fps so as I continue building I have hope that it will be in the 25-30fps range when the city is fully fleshed out. The FPS bump was enough to get me playing again 1-2 hours per week but then I started using mods and that actually got me enthusiastic about playing so I'm at about 7 hours a week. Flash forward to this weekend with the release of Extra and the update to Better Bulldozer that allows you to delete objects/surfaces on assets and the game is where it needs to be for me to really be as creative as I used to be in CS1. If you are not playing CS2 after all the BS up to this point I really recommend trying it again using mods and with the graphic improvements. Modders really are going to be the ones to salvage this game if it has a comeback. Having said all that I also started Manor Lords and man do I wish CS2 was more like Manor Lords, graphics look great, assets look very realistic and the "zoning" is exactly how I wanted CS2 to work. I love dragging to zone/build lots and they conform to the shape I make and adjust the building accordingly, I really wanted that in CS2.
I love maps because they orient me. It's not always intuitive to build an understanding of what's near where when you're relying on point to point connections before maps were readily available. I remember navigating my hometown and surrounding back roads to build up that network without a map, it was very challenging but essentially I built up a map in my head to keep it somewhat straight. I taught myself some principles like if I keep heading in a certain direction, I'll eventually hit the highway, even though I do not know where I'll hit it. Nowadays having detailed maps ahead of time makes it so much easier.

I’ve always been addicted to maps and transit, god knows why. Although last month went Amsterdam and I came out of a metro station and refused to move until I figured out which way was north, which took a couple of minutes. Maybe I just like to know where I am all the time?

why isn't there more games that focus on maps or at least have a map making mechanic?
If I was Biffa or CPP, I would have said something along the lines of that I am a fan of the games and my channel is to show me enjoying the games; to NOT take my words as a review because I am clouded by excitement. I get why people are upset, having bought the game because they trusted the creator’s review :/ it’s not wrong to be a fanboy but people trust your ability to detect and communicate what’s wrong.

I would consider one of those creators to be a lot more questionably unethical in their approach to marketing a game for a company that gives them free access to the base game and presumably all future DLC's which is what they were provided with for the first game in exchange for "free" marketing which bypasses the ethical boundaries of what most real advertisers would not be able/ allowed to do or get away with since there are laws against certain forms of false advertisement. I give CPP a pass since he is one of the few "large" channels to actually live stream his sessions of CS2, complete with all the bugs and crashes that tend to get edited out of other creators videos when they are pre-recorded and edited to make the game look better while at the same time enticing people to use an "affiliate link" to purchase keys for the game through grey markets.

@@thephantomchannel5368 Appreciate the larger context, I have more research to do.
I've lived in London, and the underground map is really confusing for tourists for a few reasons: - The distances, and the proximity of stations, are not intended to be accurate, and really aren't. E.g., Farringdon is much closer to Blackfriars than it is to King's Cross (~900m vs ~1.7km). Thankfully everyone can just use Citymapper or Maps these days. - You can't just rely on the colours, as the same line might have very different destinations and even routes (see northern line). You have to pay close attention to the writing on the train, the announcements, or signs in the station. Even when using an app you have to pay attention.
Maps are just great. You can use a lot of knowledge on them. They are great to summarize a lot of information in a single picture and you can flex your abilities
Love or hate Nerdrotic he has a saying "Authenticity is the currency of the future" and authenticity includes not shilling for things that are obviously not good to gain financially or through access. I still watch CPP, Biffa and others but I trust them less.
Guys in the British army have been using this masterb..... analogy for over 30yrs never fails to get a laugh. Read it for what it is no harm in it whatsoever
I think CS2 will turn a corner in Summer. Next patch is economy rework and the following is assets. Those are the most important things right now so they have their priorities right, finally. (hopefully performance keeps improving on the side)

While this is a true statement it is also based on the promises of a company with a reputation for breaking promises. My criticism for the game is based from the experience of the first version where to have a complete game would cost around $400 in DLC over 8 years. Given the state of the economy in various countries I would imagine that inflation will reflect in the cost of the DLC's for version 2 which most likely would add up to around $500- $600. I also question why they tout the "small studio" when they seem to be outsourcing the majority of the work to 3rd parties or rely on "modders" to do the work for them.
What kind of cities have trains going in circles? cant they get over it that cs2 is cs2. I think that colossal order is gonna start distancing themselves from the community. If they keep giving negative feedback then who wants to make game like that. Your views are because you two are fair and truthful. i like how you disagree with each other

It is almost like healthy debate is how we learn and grow as it gives a context for mutual respect even when both parties disagree. We need more debate in modern day society otherwise all you hear is one side with more power and influence and the other side is deemed "toxic" because they question why they are being silenced and gate-kept from the conversation which is ultimately unfair.

I've shown my KZread earnings on other videos. I'm a full time student, so ofc every cent helps, but I'm definitely not doing this for money or clout, and tbh most of subs are from Shorts and Maps, I'm doing this, bc no one was speaking up beyond forums, where voices were being deleted. I haven't finished until CS2 is playable and someone, with even a small platform like my own, needs to keep CO/PDX accountable, bc if we rest, they could fall back into their money grubbing ways, and I don't want tht, but I am glad that there's been some considerable improvements in the game
Seen some creators playing around with the new mods: I can imagine it tickles there need (traffic enhancement, detailing): so be a bit lenient toward haters now posting more positive videos. The base game might still needs some refinement (the simulation part), but if that is not your thing and you're more into making nice looking "semi" functional cities, no problem with that.
Im blown away by your maps! Cheers!
Me personally, i just wanna hear something about the patch they are currently working on, instead of just having a month of nothing.

I think asylums are a relatively recent thing, before globalization I suspect there was less pressure to be "normal". There's a recent show I think it's The Twelve where St Matthew the apostle is portrayed as an autistic person, I've heard it's good. I'd bet a lot of famous mathematicians, scientists, and philosophers were all autistic. How else can you explain being able to dive so deeply into an arcane subject to make such large advances in understanding?

Asylums/ state run mental institutions are a direct result of the progressive eugenics movement starting in the 1890's. Forced sterilization was how they determined they could rid the world of "undesirables". The states of California and Oregon were number one and number two in the world for forced sterilizations in state run institutions until a certain Mr. Mustache took the idea one step further which was directly influenced by financial powers and industry. The Rockefeller Foundation partially funded and built "The Kaiser Wilhelm Institute of Anthropology, Human Heredity, and Eugenics" in 1927 Germany which is the foundation to the research of the elites to determine "racial purity".

@@cityplannermismanages I don't trust Musk as he is known to be a "transhumanist" just like Bill Gates. It is the new paradigm of eugenics where inbreeding "perfect" human stock is augmented/ supplemented with technological implants to build a better human race.

13:54 given it's the Internet we're talking about, that's likely a passive aggressive comment about the console release. At 11:23 on their Facebook post you also showed on screen CO apologizing in a comment response about the console release being delayed. For YT at least, even negative comments feed the algorithm. I think it's a toss up whether unrelated negativity is harmful, depends on the person. I don't think it's right to put it on guest build videos like that one, but normal ones are open season.
