DiResta [Pt. 2] Camper Trailer Interior
In this project I execute and fabricate the interior of the camper trailer built in part one. The interior for this camper trailer was designed on paper by the client and given to us to interpret. Taylor Forrest worked hand-in-hand with the client choosing materials the best represented what was shown in the drawing. And I also made some changes along the way as far as colors and textures. The walls of this camper trailer are covered with a Formica type laminate. The countertops are Corian. And the under cabinets are plywood in MDF in conservation of excessive weight. Patrick Renolds did all the electrical system based on the conversations with the client and what their needs would be, and the plumbing system is designed by Taylor Forrest, a simple gray water system. Much of the research for this camper trailer project build was found on KZread so thanks for that!! and thank you for watching!

For those of you who were asking… My Giant DiResta Razor Blades are Now Available Here:
the author does like to from scratch, shaping and trimming wood from large blocks into fine finished products.
This was an interesting build. A Tip someone gave me when using grab adhesive is to make donuts... as you push it onto the surface it creates suction which keeps the panel attached to the wall.
Did I just watched 45 minutes of DiResta making a trailer??? Now I want the full movie!!!
I love Jimmy’s transparency in the process with trials and tribulations. A man that can maintain an independent sense of self and operate within the spectrum of public trust is worth his weight in gold.
I love the messages if perseverance throughout this project. I often get hung up on details and "panic", and it stalls my process. Hearing you talk about this trailer on the podcast for the past 9 months has really helped me power through some things I just didn't want to do. Thanks for always being an inspiration Jimmy!
Jimmy: excited to get his space back. old time fans remembering the NYC shop-hahahahaha.
I like the tape trick for router "finish passes"!
one EcoFlow box could have done all the electrical stuff. Not cheap, but all in one box.
Aside from building the outer walls, this process was exactly like building a camper van. It was fun to watch because I know all the pain and decisions that have to be made. Built my van last year and learned so much along the way. 🤘🏼
I have built a lot of trailers over the years I live up by Elkhart Indiana if that says anything. U did a great job. I know people that couldn't even come close to what u have done building trailers. Thanks for sharing and again great job be proud of that unit.
Being very candid here - That was a damn good build & you over came some obstacles with confidence. The client should be over joyed with this trailer. Thanks for allowing us to come on this build. Hope to see the delivery and clients reaction on receiving it.
Jimmy, I absolutely love when you do these voice overs. Great content as always! Please keep them coming, thanks in advance.
Oh that blum hinge mounting guide - now that's a real epiphany moment right there - genius in it's simplicity.
The fit and finish is unmatched.
Your comment on "marinating" on complex tasks is bang on! I've had that happen numerous times. I experienced that on a double-winder stair-case build . I woke up at 3:00 am and had the solution.
Some classic Irish tunes in the shop when Patrick was talking, good taste.
Very Good Job. I'm a retired electrician, Very impressed with the electrical and I worked at Fleetwood and I understand too well about moving a house and the damage that can happen from simple moving, the road can be terrible on the interior. You did a wonderful job. Thanks for sharing.
U and DIY Wife are my favorite builders....
Well done. Thumbs up and thanks for posting!
