What a gift! She was one of the greatest influences in my life, and Lenore Dowling was too. And there they were in living color. I was with them through those years. Corita was my true compass.

All of this was going on in Los Angeles in the 1960s. Wow. That was such a different time and place. Nowadays LA is such a commercial monster, pumping out products for mass consumption, the majority of it for trivial entertainment and for personal affectation. Money over meaning.
