What a beautiful human being with a beautiful mind. We are blessed that she shares her mind and talent with us on her own dime. She's not doing any of it for a big bag, she's doing it hoping we will learn. Thank you Ava!!! ❤🏾🤜🏽🤛

I LOVE THE CUT from the newly filmed fictional version of the photograph, to the original photograph. DuVernay is one of our greatest filmmakers working today. Total artistry.

"I am" the song inspired by this movie is just as inspirational in the storytelling aspect.

I can't wait to see this film. I lovve everything that Ava does! Thank you Ava!

I saw this film in a pre-release screening this week. Truly amazing film and so emotionally wrenching. Bring tissues, be prepared to not be ok afterward or for the next few days. I have never cried more or heard more people crying in a theater.

DuVernay is so talented and elegant. I love her. She also looks absolutely amazing. Like she's aging backwards. Weight loss? Working out? She looks incredibly healthy.

I need Ms. Ellis to receive ALL of her flowers---she is an amazing talent with so much range. Happy to see her star in a big film

Anjanue Ellis came into my consciousness from her thoroughly believable performance as Oracene Price, the mother of Venus Williams and Serena Wiilams!

I've been so impressed with everything that she has done. Brilliant and beautiful also.

I saw this at a screen unseen showing at AMC last night. I thought I was going to hate it. It was moving, deep, and I cried the whole way home. My son, this morning, asked me what movie was showing last night and I just started bawling. Amazing movie.

I also saw it as a mystery movie. I was not prepared and no one else in the theater was either (I’ve never heard more crying in a theater before). Seriously one of the best films I’ve ever seen and so emotionally moving. Honestly I don’t think I would have chosen to see this on my own but I can’t stop thinking about it and it’s been over a day and I still feel myself wanting to cry. I’ve already told friends and family they need to see it.

I am so ready to see *ORIGIN!!!* And having Aunjanue Ellis-Taylor in a movie directed by THE Ava DuVernay is the highlight for me. 🤗 Also, this has nothing to do with the movie, but if you haven't tried *Ava DuVernay's Ben & Jerry's non-dairy ice cream "Lights! Caramel! Action!"* then you are missing the BEST thing on this planet!!! 🤎🙌🏾🙌🏾🙌🏾🤎

I love African-American women like Ida B Wells, Isabel Wilkerson, Ava Duvernay, Nicole Hannah Jones, Michelle Alexander, Melissa Victoria Harris - Perry (formally known as Melissa Victoria Harris - Lacewell, is an American writer, professor, television host, and political commentator), with a focus on African-American policies and politics (Who has made a positive difference for us all to follow and emulate). You all make me a proud African-American, and spark much Joy in me and many others, and make the world a better place to live in for us all and future generations! I loved Isabel’s masterpiece book “The Warmth of Other Suns”. Her book “Caste” did not get the recognition it deserves because it cuts too close to the bone concerning what BIPOC lives with in the USA Today. Think You, Ava Duvernay for making the deserved recognition happen for Isabel Wilkerson. God bless you for being so wonderful, brilliant, and vivacious! You made my KZread playlist and day.

I love Ava DuVernay's powerful work,. I love her passion, her class, and her intelligent approach to her filmmaking and direction. I've read this interesting and thought-provoking book. I'm looking forward to seeing this movie.

Saw this tonight. Premier Sneak Preview. I made a great choice to check it out because - and I mean this with great emphasis and excitement - this movie was unbelievable... in an amazing way. It just dove head first into the deep pockets of our shameful American history and for those of you that think "Seen it, Been There, Done That, Don't Need to See or Hear the Story Repeated", well, I think you will agree that this is an exception. I had no idea what I was going to see and feel fortunate that it was this film. Riveting. You don't want to miss this.

I love her work. She also looks like she's lost a lot of weight. She looks great!

Such an amazing production and compelling story. I was just overcome with emotion with everything about this movie. How in the world could this movie be overlooked for multiple awards??

Reflect on what it means to be Him or Her who does not bow to false beliefs about others no matter how outnumbered and outgunned. Practice that and there you have the solution to our discontents. What there IS, is because that is what we want, that is what we have created EVERYWHERE on earth. When we decide we do not want a caste system , we don’t have one. Simple. We are what we create.

I am absolutely dying to see this film. Kid me not I’ve watched the trailer at least 17 times. I absolutely love love this.
