I tried gelish.. wasn’t a fan. For me.. it was way too thin. I’m obsessed with the YN tho!

I love ALL of the colors! I have been doing a lot of purple lately but, that emerald green and cactus ARE so PRETTY!!! Did you end up going with purple?😉
I think you used Verde Visions although they are all really nice!

Is that builder gel underneath the peel base? It’s so pretty!!
Thank you so much for the update using gel liquids. I also didnt know that you could use the base only for encapsulation. I tried the gel method however , I got some white particles after filing and top coat.

Did you use clear dip powder? That’ll usually do it. I skip it all together!

If I want to use the gel method for dip powder over a builder gel overlay what would be my step after applying and curing all of the Builder gel in order to get ready to apply dip powder using the gel method?

Remove the tacky layer and file as needed. Then you can go right in with your dip/gel!

Not sure if that would work for transfer foils but it’s optimistic! Couldn’t hurt to try!
Can you do a fill when using gel method or do I have to remove completely and start all over? And how long do they last?

You can definitely backfill! Longevity totally depends on your prep and lifestyle ❤️

Mine come from sparkle and co! Not sure what grit they are tho.
Also with heat spikes, Marla, u can turn it lamp on put ur hand at the very edge for a few them stick ur hand the rest of the way n 😉
I love Oasis Waters but my guess is your are going to use Verde Visions!

Hi! would the maniology sticky base coat for nails be okay to use (instead of the primer) and would it accept the gel top coat? oh, for stickers, water slides AND stamping :D

Yes!! Absolutely a perfect substitute! I would suggest a gel base and then a gel top ❤️

@@karennewsome572 you’re fine! Yes.. gel top has a tendency to peel over time so a gel base will seal in the art and prevent the top from peeling. Basically, give you the most longevity as possible!

So I use dehydrator first and then gel primer second for longer lasting nails? Right now I do -Base coat Clear powder Cure Repeat Then base coat Dip Powder Cure Base coat Dip powder Cure Then top with tack free gel top coat Cure. I’m not sure if I’m doing it right. My nails pop off pretty easily and I’d like longer lasting nails I’m fairly new to nails!

Yes the dehydrator will remove any oils from the nail and the primer will act like double used tape to adhere the gel and acrylic! It might also help to rough up your nails slightly (gently) - that will give extra texture for the gel to stick to.

whenever i use gel base with clear dip powder, it makes it super murky and doesn't cure clear. any suggestions/ideas?

Yep that’s actually normal. I definitely suggest not using clear dip with gel liquids. Instead, I would recommend encapsulating with gel base or builder gel.

If the glitter was super chunky I’d probably use base and top. But it was super smooth so I only needed the base! Don’t wanna add bulk if it’s not necessary

Nope! The lamp that cures the gel replaces the activator 💞

I still get dip flu with this method but they last nicely. I just wear a mask

I just did a dip mani with gel...I just didn't like it. It somehow changed the color of the dip powder. It kind of yellowed the original color.

Yep that can happen with some gels. Usually bc of the UV exposure. I’ve found iGel and young nails to be much better than most

Great question! Swipe being acetone based works for pretty much everything whereas cleanse only works for gels. Since I can use swipe for gels, stamping, etc, it’s a better buy for me. One product to do numerous jobs!
