my mom will not let me get acrylics, but next weekend is my friends birthday so she decided to let me get some with them. She told me it was going to be the only time, because she doesn’t want to be paying $70 every two weeks. She told me that if I want long nails I would have to learn how to do them on my own. So this is very helpful, thanks a lot!

How long did it take for both nails?

I just tried this dip set. I used clear and left them natural. They turned out beautiful 😍. You did a great job here with color 👍👌👏

I went to a salon and got this exact color last year and hated how it didn’t look as natural as yours ugh , wine 🍷 Netflix and diy from now on !!!

I have used this kit and the system lasts longer than the kits I bought at Sally. I have had my nails for about 2 weeks and they still look spectacular!

Firefly yes base coat, but i also like to always keep a structure gel on them or a few layers of clear dip powder to make them extra strong since i have pretty weak nails :)

Excellent video. Ty for the info. I really like how they came out. I normally do my dip nails on my natural nails but I had to cut them back drastically. I have had good success with leaving the top/base coat off and just using my favorite top coat of regular nail polish. For anyone who was wondering.

Thats why i got it just now if it work well I will b so happy im a stay at home mom and I HATE asking my husband for 30+ dollars to get my nails done. I feel so selfish especially during these times Idk if i even can get them dome tbh. so before covid i only got them for special occasions this will legit be like a present that just keeps on giving lol.

Do you have to put a base gel on at the end? I have that exact kit and I got the pink color dip but I don’t have any base gel.

Just finished using this kit I used the with tip and they are awesome, I normally use the kiss brush on gel kit, I found this one the smaller size tho at family dollar it only comes with the gel, activator, power and Xtra brush..$7..I am very pleased..I stopped salons about 6yrs I just order my supplies

It's not too hard. Used this kit yesterday. However, you have to let nail dry for like 15 seconds b4 you dust off powder or you will get ridges in your nails.

the best thing i would recommend doing is keeping them protected with product! this is how i’m able to grow them out strong. also apply cuticle oil daily!

I would say 2 layers, and yes, gel can be added on top!

Ive got the same kit but it didnt come with the powder since it was empty there was only a bit for one finger so than I figured it out 9n my own without the powder but also awesome video!!

I tied this kit earlier tonight. Print very small. Do you only apply activator after done with all dipping? I was putting activator on after each dip.

Late to the party! But I just bought this kit because I have very very long nature nails and just broke off my thumb on one hand and pinky on the other so I wanted something to replace them until they grow back. Question: if you wanted to could you paint normal nail polish over it after you are done with the dip?? Wondering because I have my favorite Ella+Mila nail polishes and I’d love to be able to do that!

yes you can totally apply regular polish over dip! i would either recommend buffing the surface of the dip powder super smooth before polish application, or applying a gel top coat on top of the dip before polish application. both methods should work great!

I agree that they turned out great, especially considering the price point!! Question though.....how the hell do you get them off?

File the top layer and wrap your nails with an acetone nail polish remover for 10 minutes. Then scrape off the polish and repeat till done x

I clip the length off if they are long and soak them 15 min in soak off from walmart.

yes you can fill these nails. just file off any lifting and take off any bulk. then reapply the product :)

this specific kit requires no led lamp, therefore using it wouldn’t make a difference.

I'm starting to think I should invest in dip nails. I can't paint in the lines..maybe this will help?

i personally do a little bit of both! i file down the tip to be roughly the shape i’m going for, and then once the dip is on i file again to really make it perfect 🤍

Maysaa Mousa i always find the tip coat that comes in the kit is never as good as a gel top coat. that’s why i normally don’t use the dip top and i use a gel top to make it extra glossy!
