by far the best and most helpful nail tutorial I've watched!!!!
I want this. What should I ask for at the salon to get this?
will you add a video of how to remove these
These nail & gel polish topcoats & basecoats just ruin my nails! Best gel polish topcoat is CND SHELLAC TOPCOAT AND BASECOAT, AND ZOYA ARMOR TOPCOAT. But need a strong base! UK 🇬🇧
I need something to strengthen my long bendy nails, all these fancy nail basecoats and strengthener made my nails chip and break! Essie Here Stay basecoat, Essie No chips topcoat, Nailtek 2, Seche Vite Quick Dry topcoat, Kiara Sky Sticky basecoat, MTSSII GEL POLISHES AND BASECOAT AND TOPCOAT, Sally Hansen insta dry clear Topcoat, etc...All these chemicals ruined my strong long nails 💅! Boo! UK 🇬🇧
Love it!
Ive got the same kit but it didnt come with the powder since it was empty there was only a bit for one finger so than I figured it out 9n my own without the powder but also awesome video!!
I wanted to see the red look with dip powder??
After all of this can we put hard gel in top is that gonna work?
so for the primers you use, are they absolutely necessary for application?
How long do you let it cure for the first coat?
❤Hi did you air dry or did you put under a gel dryer?
Hi! Under a uv/led lamp. ♥️
@katesnails cool thank you for helping me save money
So NO gel polish machine necessary for these, WOW!! So the key then is to purchase gel nail polish that doesn’t need a machine to set it?!?
Hi! So these do need a uv or led lamp in order to cure (dry). There are some really great cheap options on amazon that work well!
@@katesnails Oh ok I was confused because you didn’t show one in your video, I was hoping for a step by step, thanks though.
Youbiutiful ❤
How durable are they? Are they as durable as acrylic. Just dun like it when nails pop off, but I want to try gel over acrylic
These are very durable! You can make them even more durable by adding a builder gel or gel polish on top.
thanks
Stunning!!💕
Do you need to flash cure them?
I do recommend flash curing the nails in place after each nail gets applied, and then doing one full cure once all of the nails are on!
Hello Ladies 🌹 Youbiutiful ❤
Do anyone know why my builer gel is peeling off from base, like base remain on the nail, only gel is peeling off…
I recommend making sure the surface of the builder gel has some texture to it (slight scratches from a file) to make sure that the gel has something to grip to when applied on top!
The site says that activator isn't needed, which is obviously incorrect. You do need to use the activator. Also, this product isn't available on Amazon anymore
Do you recommend rubber base gel to overlay on tips or builder gel?
Hi! Builder gel is definitely thicker, and will give a stronger feel, whereas rubber base is a little bit more flexible. Lately I’ve been loving using Luminary on my nails! 🤍
I love you channel! I want to start doing builder gel nails with tips
Aren’t those acrylic?
These are not acrylic! These nails were created using gel products.
Thanks But no UV
Were you able to create an apex with the dipping?
Yes! If you wanted even more of an apex, you can do thin layers of liquid and powder in the center of the nail to really create that curve.
This is *exactly* what they do at the salon. It takes an hour or more, and they usually have to open up the foil and mess with it several times, after waiting in between. Did I miss something?
And your nails are super dried out afterwards, and crack VERY easily (compared to how easily they crack without any tampering) I'd really love to find an *actually* quick way to do it.
Hi! I personally did not experience the soaking to take that long. Make sure you’re using 100% acetone, and you could also add heat to speed up the process. I have some additional soak off videos on my channel that I recommend you check out if you’re looking for a different method.
Thank you so much for this! Your nails look so gorgeous!! 🩷Did you experience much nail damage? Are these simple to remove?
Thank you! If you soak off and are gentle, there is absolutely no damage to the natural nails :)
@@katesnails thank you so much!🥰
How long does this last?
I find my gel manicures usually last 2-2.5 weeks before chipping or looking grown out!
❤
Thank you!
How long does that last you?
About 2-3 weeks before I need to fill them!
how long do the nails last bc i want to do my nails at home bc i am decent at designs i just dont know the supply’s i need
Hi! I would say a solid 2-3 weeks before you would need to soak off or fill them!
Thank you!
Worked like a charm, thank you.
Honestly, I'm glad it didn't come off immediately after u applied it...I mean think about it, you're nails shouldn't be able to peel it off if you just applied it...after 2 weeks with all the oils from your skin and everything else you put your nails through, it should be easily removed
Btw, what's your brothers yt again?
Hey, it's me. The kid from Attack on Quest :D
Can you just use the gel glue by itself?
If you're talking about your natural nail, she recommends just using a builder gel.
Super cutes❤
Beautiful..thanks❤
Hey there! Thanks for the tutorial! I just recently got gel nails at a salon and wanted to keep them up on my own. My question is: don’t I need the uv light? That is what was used at the salon.
Hi! For gel nails, you will need a UV or LED lamp in order to cure or “dry” the gel polish. Regular nail lacquer would be the only product you would not need to use a lamp for as it air dries.
I would do 2 1 more coat of builder gel especially on the apex part
Do you cure after each layer or wait till all layers are complete then cure? I have always been confused about that.
You should have stamped on the white. Stamping polish is quite different than regular polish and should not be painted on.
Fantastic tutorial, so easy to follow. Used your method and lots of people have admired my nails ❤ thank you
So I got my dip well liquids off Amazon and I only got 2-3 for rn I’m planning on getting 1 and 4 but I love mine.
Thank u so much from doing it from start to finish. Myself and my husband have car payments now, so I have to do my own nails. This was great since I had it on already… a million times TY!!! By far the best video, so informative
I use this so easy and simple cheaper and I dont have to leave home to hear conversations I can never understand. To each its own but if money is being saved and u love short and simple this is the best product. Look beautiful less stress less mess no harsh fumes all around you either. 😊❤
very helpful video. just subscribed 🥰
No top coat? Do you ever paint over with normal nail laquer?
Hi! I didn’t apply a top coat because I went in with a design after completing the extensions. You could use regular nail polish, however I typically use gel!
