I'm Egyptian and 80s there was no internet no music stores even if you find one then it's only Arabian music. And one day I was like 11 years old my father (God bless his soul) gave me a tape and the cover was ( Pink Floyd. The Wall ). After listening to this album I knew I'm not the same kid. Told my father I will never ask for anything but just I need more music like this for my holiday. And then he used to take me and drive to another city like 80km every month to buy 5 albums I choose. And the store owner used to give me one more as a gift. What a memories. discovering metal and blues and rock was amazing. Now I'm a drummer for about 27 years

The little man with the big big voice. I saw him several times at large arena type venues and, several years later at a night club. In a small venue his voice just shot through the entire place. It did in stadiums too but not like the smaller venue. That's when I really realized he had diesel powered vocal cords. Just amazing!! At a stadium concert, the line was wrapped around the building. We got in line and started chanting "we are the last in line" About 1/2 hour later, we were up front and could see the end of the line again and everyone at the end of the line was still chanting. Good Times!! R.I.P. You earned it my man!

I was slated to see Led Zeppelin but then Bonham died so I saw the Stones instead . I still have all my old ticket stubs minus a few and a few concert T-shirts including the first one from the 1980 Stones Jovan tour . Probably worth a few pennies on eBay I imagine but it's not leaving my sight .

I remember seeing Dio, Iron Maiden, Queensryche opening for Ozzy and a month later Queensryche opened for Metallica, all this in one summer. I live in Mobile, Alabama so acts would come to Pensacola, Fl., Biloxi, Ms, Atlanta and New Orleans and I could catch many shows 2 or 3 times. The early to mid 80's were the best time to be young enough to enjoy the hell out of it but old enough to drive where ever they were playing. I wouldn't give that up to have seen Woodstock. Oh, I almost forgot about Anthrax and AC/DC just after that summer near my b'day in Sept. Great b'day present that was.

OMG, the rafters shook, everybody in attendance knows that part and they all sang out - HOME !!!!!! Better than 20k people all in sync with DIO, shared his experience and ROCKED the house!!!!!

Last time we, Melissa and I seen Dio, we road to Baltimore Civic Center, think it was 1989, in a 73' Ford Maverick. The stage had the drums & keyboards on towers of Stone, the drums being say high as 16 ft.And from behind, arose a huge dragon with wings one end to the other of the stage. Eyes shot lazors from them at Dio doing barrel rolls cross stage to be missed. Was awsome show to attend. When we went back to the car someone had stolen our battery. So I had to swipe another hooked it up with two O-clams and a Strip of aluminum on the 1 wire they snipped. Dam if it didn't work, but my Girl that night was super pissed I did steal another battery. Know what? That babe married me not long after, and been together to this day.Tunded out to be a show for the ages. Thank you Ronnie. God & you blessed me that night for life. R.I.P. Brohand.

@@scarabonyx3565 According to an interview with Craig Goldy : Ronnie sat in on an audition for Craig Goldy trying out for a band named Rough Cutt: We became friends and learned that we worked really well together. One day he looked at me and said, “If it ever doesn’t work out with Vivian Campbell, you'll be my first choice." So that's how that whole thing happened. I knew he was a man of his word, but I didn't sit around with voodoo dolls of Vivian or anything [laughs]. I was in Giuffria, and that went really well.

The Last In Line" We're the ship without a storm The cold without the warm Light inside the darkness That it needs, yeah We're a laugh without tear The hope without the fear We are coming, home We're off to the witch We may never, never, never, come home But the magic that we'll feel Is worth the lifetime We're all born upon the cross We're the throw before the toss You can release yourself But the only way is down We don't come alone We are fire, we are stone We're the hand that writes Then quickly moves away We'll know for the first time If we're evil or divine We're the last in line, yeah We're the last in line Two eyes from the east It's the angel or the beast And the answer lies Between the good and bad We search for the truth We could die upon the tooth But the thrill of just the chase Is worth the pain We'll know for the first time If we're evil or divine We're the last in line, yeah We're the last in line, oh Yeah, we're off to the witch We may never, never, never come home But the magic that we'll feel Is worth a lifetime We're all born upon the cross You know we're the throw before the toss You can release yourself But the only way to go is down We'll know for the first time If we're evil or divine We're the last in line, oh We're the last in line See how we shine We're the last in We're the last in We're the last in We're the last in We're the last in We're the first in line, oh We're a ship without a storm We're the cold inside the warm We're the laugh without tear We're the smile without the mirror We're the last in line We're the last in line We're the last in line See how we shine We're the last in line
