Loved the video! It's great you've managed to find so many different types of stories to tell through the Carnivores engine, and I can tell you were having a blast making them. May the stories never run out. I greatly appreciate the tongue-in-cheek, self-aware narration of this mockumentary. Online discourse of dinosaurs often becomes volatile, even politicized, but your narrative seemed (to me at least; may be just my interpretation) to poke fun at some of its more touchy parts to some degree. Again- something I have enormous appreciation for. We all love dinosaurs here, no need to be so serious about it all the time, and certainly no need to be at each other's throats. As for the skins themselves- I honestly found them to be a bit of a mixed bag. The Spinosaurus and Stegosaurus were my absolute favorite skins of the lot and were outstanding in quality; Moschops, Parasaurolophus and Ankylosaurus were decent too. Most of the others, however, didn't really seem to accomplish what RK set out to do, which was (to my understanding) to create dinosaur skins with outstanding realistic detail. It's not really RK's fault the way I see it, rather the fact that the skins' native resolution is very low, which results in most of the details being lost. The sound work, however, is stellar (as in all of RK's projects) and greatly tips the scales in favor of this skin pack for their sheer quality. I especially enjoyed the inclusion of the restored Parasaurolophus sounds- dinosaurs in a Carnivores game have never sounded so real. Interesting choice of map, using Object012 as the setting of this Dinosaur Island; most of its native flora is Paleozoic rather than Mesozoic (and you did mention dinner plate-sized bugs) and the inclusion of the ruined laboratory with its stasis tubes and the final shot suggest the island's ecosystem did not evolve naturally, but was rather created by man, echoing Jurassic Park's sequels or JPOG's Site B. I also appreciate using Morrison's Maze as a backdrop for the shots representing the Jurassic period (at least, what we currently think it looked like).

Thanks, P.Rex! I am definitely having a blast telling these stories, working within the confines of the Carnivores engine has been a fun challenge indeed. I totally agree about the nature of this documentary and dinosaur documentaries in general, you got the tone of this one perfectly. Too often we attack each other over what brings us together, and it's my hope that we're all here to discuss dinosaurs and have fun! Yeah, I've noticed that while skinning as well, the desired detail is usually present right up until it appears in-game. But the sound work is great, RK always pulls through with some truly convincing soundwork. For the map, I really wasn't sure where to pick that would be vaguely unfamiliar to casual viewers but still retain the mythical, stereotypical-dinosaur setting. What really sold me on Object012 is the ruined laboratory, for as you picked up on, perhaps not all is as it seems on the island...

Poharex the idea was just to skin all the canon models because I felt that they were abandoned. Accuracy wasn't really the intention this time around. I agree spinosaurus was my favorite skin though. The sounds are vise versa my favorite as well

Actually, feathers can also be used to expel heat. They're basically a jack of all trades when regulating body temperature.

Another fantastic one! You've actually convinced me to download this skin pack and map myself! (I actually recognized a few of the ambient dinosaur skins from a certain mod of yours!) Speaking of, do these downloads work with other C2 mods or ONLY with vanilla Carnivores 2?

The sweet sound of "Hey, there's another recognizable dinosaur" in the morning.

This new methord is very cool, explaining the characteristics of each dinosaur, and adding some comedy.

Most of these retextures especially the Spinosaures one looks like a huge improvement over their default ones, however the retexture for the Rex doesn't look good to me and it's not because I don't like feathered Rexs as it's more of the fact that the feathers don't look like real feathers, which gives the Rex's skin a mushy and un detailed look

after watching you really don't want to hunt them because unlike f1-ub3s Dinosaurs they are more real a...a island that time forgot and you want to preserve them more than hunt them. anyhow amazing video I have always loved documentaries and my favorite dinosaur was ceratosaurus because I love the look and colors

I don't like how that horrendous fog-horn noise was used. They aren't machines. However, I'll tolerate it, I love that the Stegosaurus had the BBC WWD skin! AND OMG THEY USED SAURIAN'S T.REX NOISE!!! PERFECT!!!

Just put the .car files in the HUNTDAT folder, then change the corresponding files in the .RES text to match. You can check out my "How to Mod Carnivores" video if you get lost!

The map is Morrison's Maze, a new map that will be featured in the next build of Carnivores Reloaded, the Allosaurus is from RK's other skin pack that I haven't showcased, and the Ceratosaurus is from his first skin pack that I've already showcased.

Well, if you open the .car file for the dinosaur and then go to "texture" and "save," you should save the skin as a .bmp image which you can edit in Photoshop.

Well, not technically, I suppose. They're just reskins of the original AF models, so as long as you have something with the C2 engine, you can always plop them in with no problems.
