Lovely to hear your voice again Saurian ^v^ I am quite honored to have Archipelagos be finally properly showcased here, even if I've grown a bit displeased with the current build since its release and hope beta 1.1 will be more up to standard with what's currently being pushed out now. I was going to have a release this month, however real life does what real life does and gets in the way of hobbies :c Regardless of when it does finally release, most of the issues addressed in this video among other issues brought to me are hopefully being fixed. The maps are being reworked, especially Tropic's of Diangelo, and I am glad you brought up the "island hopping" concept, as that will be heavily exaugurated in beta 1.1, you'll be spending a lot more time swimming, and maybe meet some new aquatic "friends" c: The animal roster overall has already been rebalanced, with new stats, behaviors, animations, and of course some even receiving TLCs, like our adorably goofy Camarillasaurus and our haunting Balaur (also featuring sexual dimorphism). Additionally to these changes are some newcomers as well, though, I cannot disclose that information yet. The Dimetrodon represents a concept of island species and subspecies of familiar animals that will hopefully be expanded upon in the future, but don't worry, many brand new ambient animals will also be present! The weapons are indeed Archipelagos' biggest weakness, which is why most will be replaced by higher quality, and original weapons, the game's early grind hopefully being a bit more forgiving and much more rewarding thanks to this and the animal roster changes mentioned earlier! There is more I could say, but I don't want to keep you reading for so long, overall though, It is pretty amazing looking back at what started as a generic list mod and some crude little doodles, turn into a proper carnivores experience that many see worthy of being alongside such greats as Triassic or Triplex, and I want to thank everyone who supported me along this journey and downloaded and played the mod! I also want to thank you Suarian, as without you I wouldn't even have been introduced to this franchise back in 2018 nor conceptualized Archipelagos, I am truly thankful to have left my mark on this community

i usually hate starting with only a pistol, but its role as the "silent weapon" rather than a bow made it much more useful and justified in my eyes.

Didn’t know about this mod until this video but damn is it a cool concept, love how this mod focuses on the smaller dinosaurs rather than the large stuff. Island fauna is really unique so always a pleasure to see them in media. Also would be awesome to see some unique marine fauna in the Archipelagos, the idea you had was genius!

Now I'm not sure if this would be the best idea for the mod, but maybe we could have some semi-aquatic animals that became huge because they had more space to roam then anyone else in the environment. Like a spinofaarus relative that has become more of a leopard seal analog than an elephant seal one and then grew massive without substantial competition in the shallow waters of the archipelagos, maybe even becoming more adept at walking on land to catch terrestrial pray.

It's all good to talk about these mods. But how about a playthrough of them? Your Dinosaur Hunt playthrough was fun.

It’s criminal how much the official content lack so much in term of quality and quantity compared to fan made mods. The fan made canon is infinitely more fun, innovative, creative and well polished than anything official companies that own the game license can ever come up with. Imagine everyone being able to play all of this on phones and tablets on official games, imagine how insanely popular and profitable the franchise would be. Like it’s so disheartening to see the full potential of official games not even remotely close to being slightly realised, when the developers have sufficient funding and skills to do so but choose not to. Fan modding truly shows how much potential is held within this twenty years old game, how intriguing and exciting it can still be and the limitless imaginative content that can be produced by people who aren’t even paid to do these things, who have other things to do, driven only by hard work and passion.

I always wanted to see one in Carnivores. but if we're playing with the Island hopping idea... I think maybe some Geosaurs like Dakosaurus or something could work, OR maybe we could have fish like a Placyderm? or am I just thinking do deeply into the Aquatic aspect? I'm a sucker for Aquatics

Hopefully they keep a hunt limet so they dont go the way of the dodo. Island animals dont do well when humans or invasive animals pop up. Unless they breed fast ig. I still dig this roster and the idea

Don't know why but whenever I here saurian voice it feels like he's pretty chad in real life 🗿❣️ Btw I got some problems to run CARNIVORES far north premium on my laptop so can you make a quick video discussing about it and giving tutorial to fix it. It's not heap allocation but when ever i tap on hunt a long msg pops up due to which i can't play it. Overall due to that issue my carnivores far north game doesn't let me spawn on hunting area.
