    @@iDC-Javi That was the first thing I tried in a classroom analysis after he said pause and then I immediately clicked play again to see if I really got it right that quickly just to get my confidence shattered :'DD My idea was to first think how I can defend the D2 square before getting my bishop there to attack the Queen but maybe I can just deflect the Queen without defending it. That being said that's what I would have played instinctively but I wouldn't even know that my position is THAT good with even pieces on the board. Stockfish seems to think that you're an entire Queen and Rook ahead in this position alone after D2. I mean black can still play C3 or some shit I didn't look further into it but then I just take right? After typing it out I think our move is better boys xD

  • @kyledulay9742

    @kyledulay9742

    Жыл бұрын

    I'm not following the line you're thinking of. How would white capture black's queen in this hypothetical trade of two rooks for a queen? In any case, as James says at 8:30, Rb5 was threatening Qxd5# and exd5#, so black's next move must address this first.

  • @eddiekim4348

    @eddiekim4348

    The pawn can take on b5, sure, but then exd5, forking king and rook. By the end you're up a queen for a rook

  • @kzkaa.

    @kzkaa.

    @@eddiekim4348 it's not just a fork. It's a mate. After axb5, Qxd5 and exd5 are both mates, because the a pawn now block the queen's protection of the d5 square.
