I'm 50 years old and grew up listening to Deep Purple, Iron Maiden, Pantera and Metallica as my top bands. Was also into Dio, King Diamond, Dream Theater, Nightwish and Arch Enemy so I always enjoyed the melodic side of this music and I CANNOT believe I completely missed Dimmu Borgir. Just discovered these guys during Covid and was insta-hooked. THIS lineup especially blew me away.. words fail me to describe how GOOD and tight they really are. This is so technically hard to compose it's difficult to believe it was done under the influence (I heard they split because of that?). These arrangements are pure genius talent. The type of talent you don't just acquire, you are simply born gifted

The reason that Vortex’s singing is so soothing is that: 1. The way he sings is like he is telling a story 2. His soft chanting balances the rough lead vocal 3. And well… he has an amazing voice

Surely Shagrath, Silenoz and Galder read these comments, and read the comments on their social media profiles and think "you know, for our fans, we should invite Mustis, Vortex and Nick Barker back for our final retirement world tour?". I mean surely they have thought that, right? Everybody wants it. Surely they *have* to have considered it... If Slash and Duff McKagan could stand to do a year of touring with Axl Rose and everybody takes different buses, surely Dimmu's "Classic Lineup" could reunite for a final world tour.

Okay, it may not seem like it from my profile or the type of music I cover on my KZread Page but I absolutely LOVE this song. My father introduced me to this song when I was around the age of 8-9 so, it’s been about 9 years. But I’d always ask for THIS SONG to be put on so I could head-bang and throw my metal horns up in the air. Now, I wouldn’t consider myself a massive fan of this group or even a metal fan as I’ve only ever listened to this specific song by them and loved them. I’ve tried to listen to other metal groups and things along those lines. But none of them got me to this feeling of pure joy like THIS SONG! I don’t know what it is about this but I absolutely love it and am so glad I’ll have this video to go back to and look at it with so much love and joy. ❤

The more I listen to the isolated tracks of this song, the more I realize that this was a really amazing live performance. Of course they are amazing in most aspects already, other live shows included. The playing here was spot on, technically advanced, and even the BPM sped up and key changed.....they were playing super tight here. Drums were especially on point

Vortex is the main reason I'm going to practice so much at bass when I get one as well =]. His playing is so enthusiastic, and his vocals are amazing. Hail dimmu.

It is not just because he plays keyboards, but because of his creativity and because he wrote a lot of DImmu's songs and helped in the others. Sill, I hope they make a good job in the next album

Dimmu Borgir, FUCK YEAH! Shit, this song has everything--Norwegian flags, "metal salute" index finger / pinky fist-pump, badass cookie monster vocals from Shagrath, awesome, I mean AWESOME clean vocals from Vortex, melodic keyboards from Mustis...etc. etc. I love the way Shagrath's distorted vocals "harmonize" (or contrast) with Vortex's clean vocals. Outstanding performance!

I lack words to express how brilliant this music actually is. In my ears the best musicians of all times. Together with some other metal bands. But this is just too good.
