You're right, this is as tight as you can get and knowing this is a live performance with the highest quality that a studio version couldn't beat is just unbelievable. This is the best live performance of any band I've ever heard. Nothing comes close to this sound, talent, tightness, I could go on and on. LOVE IT!!!
Bringing Gavin Harrison into Porcupine Tree still remains the greatest decision in Progressive Rock history.

Steven Wilson = overthinks EVERYTHING. Just can't get into a vast majority of his stuff because it's ALL OVER THE PLACE. Unfortunate because he's a talented dude. Stop trying to be like Genesis/Dream Theater and perhaps create your own stuff. There's prog rock, then there's Steven Wilson who tries to incorporate every chord progression and instrument into every song. Just annoying.

Why you haven't heard of them? Because U.S. rock radio is dead and buried. The suits who took it over a decade or so ago are too afraid to play anything you haven't already heard 10,000 times because it might hurt their bottom line. And while I'm at it, check out Riverside, particularly their early stuff. Start with Second Life Syndrome and then poke around from there.
