    I just wanted to add how brave Dimash is, facing after two years the Chinese public, singing in English (which he is still learning) live and doing all this.... Gosh!! I bow at his feet. Magnificent.

    It's called mic handling technique! When you know your voice that well, in live performances, you know when your voice is much louder than it should so you move your mic away as much as it needs or bring it closer so to have the correct volume. You'll see him doing it in all his live performances.

    Yeah, I'm kind of tired of people thinking Dimash doesn't sing live. Even when it's absolutely evident. It's really a shame, but I guess this kind of talent messes with people's egos a little too much. It's really a shame.

    He does sing live. But many of his most viewed performances on YT are lipsynced for sure. Like SOS (Slavic Bazaar), or the official "Stranger" one on his channel. Also his "Love of Tired Swans" has two popular lipsynced versions. I'm still uncertain whether his Daybreak (Bastau) was lipped or not. It sounds too perfect to be live. Maybe some post-production after the show, thats also common for his songs. They record the live performance, then edit it and post on KZread. Its when you hear his live performances its easy to notice his lipsynced ones, even if theyre not of the same song. Live he sounds way more human, way more in the moment and like an interpreting artist. His lipsynced ones are also awesome, but its clear that they were recorded in a studio where you can try again and again until you get it absolutely perfect. Still real performances, just not live or one take.

    @@rykehuss3435 Yes, I know that. We need to take into consideration that some shows don't let singers sing live. Others make post producción work on the songs, and some replace the live singing with a prerecorded version. I'm aware of the fact that some are lipsynced, that's why I'm saying "even when it's absolutely evident". But also, I really believe that Dimash is capable of performing those songs, some may sound the same, and the ones that don't would be equally impressive as the prerecorded versions anyway.

    Sorry, I accidentally hit send…..I don’t know what you’re seeing that tells you Dimash is lip syncing. When he’s singing live, I can’t see what you’re seeing. I’ve said this before, at the London concert he was sick. If there was ever a time for him to lip sync it was then. As far as I know, he didn’t and it was obvious he was holding back on the higher notes. He would go up and then start back down. He changed several of the songs. I could definitely hear that. When I see comments saying he lip syncs all the time, like it’s a fact, it looks like you want to sound like you have inside information. Some of his fans do this. His height has gone up, the languages he sings has increased and the instruments he plays increases. I have no inside information. I just know what I hear and see. And I don’t see him lip syncing. The words that are used are definitely, for sure, obviously, of course. What are you all looking at?

    Dimash is the best singer in the WORLD and there are no doubts about that, his voice is a prodigy of nature and a genetic marvel since his parents are two glories of singing from Kazakhstan since he was 5 years old, he sings publicly and has more than twenty years of lyrical training and graduated from the university of music, he is a singer, composer, arranger and multi instrumentalist, he plays more than seven musical instruments and sings in more than Ten(10) languages, he is also a great performer and a great artist who lives and feels music He is not an imitator of voices , Dimash has his own style and is one of the forerunners of the "POPera" he also has a very pleasant, HUMBLE and simple personality, easy access, which makes it very easy to follow, he always travels with His family and friends is a very educated person and an example to follow, he has become known for his musical talent not for getting into trouble or scandals, It has a very wide vocal range of approximately 7 octaves ,he is a singer with a wide vocal range very versatile is Baritone, TENOR , Soprano, counter TENOR, mezasoprano, everything at the same time is how to have 5 singers in one, it has a male and female voice, also many resources such as vibrato, "melismas", falsetto, Staccato,whistle tone, reaching a( D8 )live "Outside of Piano"at the concert of Gakku in an unforgettable day, at his young age he continues to improve and grow musically to perfection, he has a good physical presence he measures 191 cm or 6 "3", he is very famous and recognized in Asia and now he is becoming known In Europe and America, ALL their songs are spectacular, it always goes from low to high, soft to spectacular at the end, in my almost half a century of life I never heard so much quality and it is the hope of continuity of the classical genre because all the old tenors have already Almost all of them died and Dimash can sing like them but none of them can sing like Dimash, being a Man he sings better than any Tenor and his female voice is superior to that of any average Soprano, greetings and a hug from USA 🇺🇸 "Dears" Forever ❤️ Sorry for copying and pasting my informative comment in ALL the Video reactions to Dimash what I see but I do it with the intention of sharing information about him and what I think that in the music industry there are many artists who have been successful and have no talent and are bad people and they do not set a good example for the youth, Dimash and his music deserve to triumph in America, Europe and the whole WORLD, do you want to have already read my comment please come by without problem there is always someone who for the first time knows this information and I won't get tired of sharing it with all my friends"Dear" around the world, thanks for reading and for supporting Dimash 🙏🏻S.O.S. One reason why you can be pretty sure this is live is because he struggled in some sections. You should listen to the premier performance at New Wave. Dimash was quite unwell during this performance. The mix of the music is also terrible. The part where you say the mic was moving it was actually to serve a purpose but too complicated to explain here. You're right, he's had to do his fair share of lip sync in tv shows but he's extremely good at not making people notice. He definitely doesn't wave his mic around by accident. I do agree that the bridge section may have been recorded beforehand

Adored the part when he removes the coat makes his national instrument's sound as like showing who he really is, missing it on strangers land (tried to "practise" 😉 , but got scared to be killed by hasband as I can't even remember exact sounds of it and their order!) . But i also like the vertion in New wave, esp the final. And his epic "Olimpico" and his heartbreaking "Daybreak" in same competition "Singer" Also "Adagio" of Lara Fabian and his japanesse vertion of "Ikanaide". Super different and super recognisable)) Dimash!

    Something to be aware of is that the version that was aired had some pitch correction going on. I don't know how much it was happening but for sure it happened at the onset of the final note in the performance. There is a backstage reactions video of this performance and on that last note you can hear that last note on the TV monitors that people are reacting to started out flat and slowly hit the correct note. In the performance you just watched that flat note has disappeared. So, I don't know if that was the only instance of pitch correcting after the fact or if it was applied thru out the performance. Only way to know for sure is if there was a "fan cam" recording to compare to. Doubtful that Dimash would even know it was done, but shows like that tend to take matters into their own hands.

  • @justwantthebestvoice4492

    @justwantthebestvoice4492

    Quite unusual for him to hit a flat note but I guess he is still human. Yes, most shows go through post editing before airing and of course any minor flaws will be corrected as many times as required. The clip that you saw (which shows at least half the song),it seems that there’s only one flat note. Anyway all singers have their good and bad day (and we all know Dimash was having nose problem and even went to the hospital after this performance. He has also waited more than 12 hours from morning to past midnight for his turn to perform). It will only become a concern when he requires pitch correction most of the times in most of his songs. I believe u hv attended his NY Barclays concert, did he have many flat notes live? In your opinion do you think he has a great control over his voice, like one of the best out there? So, why would you suspect the whole performance may hv several instances of pitch corrections? Even if there is, it is unusual and not a norm for him, right buddy?

    @@justwantthebestvoice4492 I believe Dimash is one of the most accurate in terms of pitch in the world today. I personally don't mind hearing a flat or slightly flat note from time to time because then I know what I'm hearing is really him. And I do know he was dealing with some biological issues. As I said in my comment, I don't know if there were pitch corrections made beyond that one instance and only know of the one for sure (which is why I said it that way).

  • @lolawants2008

    It wasn’t so much flat as completely altered at that one point to an entire change in notes & the way he hit it. They also altered the evenness or however one would technically say it- he sounded more out of breath live in the end. It makes me angry because I prefer it unaltered, he literally sang his all & left it on the stage in the final note & I don’t believe he prefers the alterations. What’s worse is I got into it with dears on this exact point, even with clear proof. There is no one better live that can do what he does, consistently- period. But these moments do happen. I’ll add link to the fancam if KZread will allow it in a follow up comment

    Not everyone knows that Prince Dimash, in addition to using the various vocal techniques with great skill (I dare say better than anyone else I've ever heard to date), is able to adjust the volume of his voice to his liking. In fact, sometimes he uses the microphone only by moving it, other times he uses moving the microphone and adjusting the volume with his voice (so he mixes the two techniques), other times he raises and lowers the volume only with his voice ...! He trains a lot to do it, and perhaps it helps a lot that he has perfect pitch. so in addition to splitting the note even without the accompaniment of an instrument that gives him intonation, he uses his perfect pitch to adjust the volume by himself ....! ... I know it sounds absurd but it's true! Thank you for reacting to Prince Dimash and greetings from the "dear" Italians.

    I just watched then fan clip ( about 5 times ) and frankly the middle section sounded the same. Where I can agree that there may have been post production would be in the last couple of notes, but even then, not a huge amount. Your reasoning for the middle section/melisma/runs sounding strange due to the mic movement is also off. The mic doesn't move as much as you seem to indicate. I have watched some flamenco singers live where they do a similar thing with the mic as they do this similar type of run.
