Kiev was his last concert before the pandemic and he already had like 5 or 6 concerts before Kiev and all the concerts were held pretty close just a few days apart. His plan was to hold about 12 concerts in a span of 9 -10 weeks or so if not because of the pandemic. Here he sang this in the middle of the 3 hr concert and he didn’t go all the way out likely to preserve his voice for the rest of the concert and to save his voice for the other concerts which were supposed to take place in a matter of days after Kiev even though they were eventually postponed due to the pandemic.

You are confused because you expect a particular genre. That is not Dimash's intention. If it was he would have joined the Astana opera company when he was invited a permanent position. He is reinventing music to embrace many genres in one song. So let go of your expectations.

Dimash has chosen to sing in multiple genres, often mixing a lot of styles in one song to make a beautiful sound. He always chooses how he will sing, he isn't forced by a songs key. This was sung during a 2 to 3 hour solo concert so not a single song performance, it was one of probably 20 songs he sang that night, but its always his choice. Dimash says about his range, 'it's not the size of your range but what you do with it that counts. He is very focused, a workaholic, a perfectionist who has been in musical education from the age of 5 and is soon to finish his Phd. He has a prompt as he sings in 12 languages, most people in the CIS countries use prompts in their concerts, so its all normal.

Dimash is the best singer in the WORLD and there are no doubts about that, his voice is a prodigy of nature and a genetic marvel since his parents are two glories of singing from Kazakhstan since he was 5 years old, he sings publicly and has more than twenty years of lyrical training and graduated from the university of music, he is a singer, composer, arranger and multi instrumentalist, he plays more than seven musical instruments and sings in more than Ten(10) languages, he is also a great performer and a great artist who lives and feels music He is not an imitator of voices , Dimash has his own style and is one of the forerunners of the "Popera" he also has a very pleasant, Humble and simple personality, easy access, which makes it very easy to follow, he always travels with His family and friends is a very educated person and an example to follow, he has become known for his musical talent not for getting into trouble or scandals, It has a very wide vocal range of approximately 7 octaves ,he is a singer with a wide vocal range very versatile is Baritone, TENOR , Soprano, counter TENOR, mezasoprano, everything at the same time is how to have 5 singers in one, it has a male and female voice, also many resources such as vibrato, "melismas", falsetto, Staccato, whistle tone, reaching a( D8 )live "Outside of Piano"at the concert of Gakku in an unforgettable day, at his young age he continues to improve and grow musically to perfection, he has a good physical presence he measures 191 cm or 6 "3", he is very famous and recognized in Asia and now he is becoming known In Europe and America, ALL their songs are spectacular, it always goes from low to high, soft to spectacular at the end, in my almost half a century of life I never heard so much quality and it is the hope of continuity of the classical genre because all the old tenors have already Almost all of them died and Dimash can sing like them but none of them can sing like Dimash, being a Man he sings better than any Tenor and his female voice is superior to that of any average Soprano, greetings and a hug from Venezuela🇻🇪, "Dears" Forever ❤️👍🏻 Sorry for copying and pasting my informative comment in ALL the Video reactions to Dimash what I see but I do it with the intention of sharing information about him and what I think that in the music industry there are many artists who have been successful and have no talent and are bad people and they do not set a good example for the youth, Dimash and his music deserve to triumph in America, Europe and the whole WORLD, do you want to have already read my comment please come by without problem there is always someone who for the first time knows this information and I won't get tired of sharing it with all my friends"Dear" around the world, thanks for reading and for supporting Dimash 🙏🏻S.O.S. I love Dimash music more than any one else, Igor + Dimash = perfect music, in this song here that Dimash continue to have so many concerts, and is long one, he fly so many country, I am sure he will be very tired, but even though He still done a good job, most of the famous singer only hold short concert, and also not always perfect, some already can not hold the live concert anymore, I wish Dimash don't hold concerts in 3 hours long, He should just do it for two hours, I like to keep watching him, but prefer He take good care for himself, I will support his music the rest of my life, I am 65 now, thanks.

It was pretty clear that being this was farther into his concert, his voice was a little fatigued. I listen to Dimash so much, and I can hear his voice was fatigued here. and he changed some of the higher notes out that he has used in a previous performance. Still wonderful, and it's Dimash's style to use multiple vocal styles in his songs.

exactly. this is still excellent in its own way, but imo, doesn't hold a flame to any of the other 3 or 4 renditions i've seen him do. it was brutally obvious he was either feeling under the weather, his voice needed to rest, or, as it's been pointed out, very deep into a long concert experience. i also prefer this song from lara or dimash with a full orchestra, choir, & igor playing those sweet keys. it's always sounded much more fitting for this song...but i also love how he's not afraid to mix things up quite a bit either! :)

Dimash is different, he is making these choices not just because of the key but because of the demand of the song. Secondly, dimash has got a lot of training in opera and he usually gets operatic to different sections to tackle those high notes and reach the super high notes on different instances. His opera notes fit very well in the songs he sings. His super low notes and super high notes, operatic, breathy voices, his control, ability to manage mic when to put away and when to get closer, and level of perfection is insane

Lyrics running on a TV screen is something permanently used in "The Singer" chinese contest. Dimash could be often seen using it in 2017, specially when he sang in chinese. The production offered chinese lyrics written in arabic characters to prevent artists from fear forgetting the lyrics while performing. He now routinely uses TV lyrics on his live shows and, did you know is his sister Raushan who runs those prompters for him ? And Mansur uses to play Dombra also un the live shows, so the whole Q-family participates one way or another.

This was a solo concert at the ARNAU tour - Kiev. He doesn't sing it in all concerts. But this has a certain kind of public, it has to be arranged to that ambiance. It's the wise thing to do. The music is only played here, by permission of Igor, when he's not also on stage. And it's not a cover. It's just a song singed by two different singers with the same composer that, by the way, returned from he's retirement to work exclusively with Dimash since 2018. But Dimash is also a musician, singer and composer. He would never deteriorate he's maestro's work... By the contrary. He's free to sing as he want's, as long he has permission to do it by the owner of the song Igor Krutoy, he's maestro, friend and mentor. One more thing Dimash is from Kazakhistan, he also speaks perfectly russian. Both languages writen in Cyrillic alphabet... He barely speaks english... In what language Dimash was reading on the screens?? Lara Fabian sings as Mademoisele Hyde and Dimash sings as Mister Hyde (haven't noticed the lyrics?) It would be very strange if Dimash singed like Lara's voice , wouldn't it? But too strange to sing it lower. Because he can. He has 3 voices: Good low, average normal and altino... He can reach from bass to tenor and go to soprano in the same phrase... (see SOS at the Slavic Bazaar). And be absolutely sure, that before Dimash sings publicly he consults the maestro about he's "changes" or asks for he's advice for that or any other composition. In fact, Igor rearranged several compositions he had from several years before retirement, and now they are singed only by Dimash, since he "found" he's voice. He's a virtuoso. It's easy babbling non sense opinions without knowing the background of both Igor and Dimash... like we've seen in many reacts... and funny too. See some more Dimash videos to learn something that other teachers, singers, musicians and maestros already recognized publicly since they discover him 3 years ago: Forget what you think you learned and observe Dimash techniques. Be obsessed and perfectionist like him. Try to do the same since 5 yo. till hes 26 now... You should google it or go to wikipedia... much easier for you and your friend... Please see this same song WITH Igor Krutoy at the New Wave Concert 2019 - Sochi (or at the HTB show) or the performance at Igor Krutoy's 65th birthday - Dimash + Aida Garifullina + Lara Fabian in "Ti amo cosi", Olympico (Ogni Pietra), Sinful Passion, Love is a dream, etc.

👉The song is based on the story of Dr. Jekyll and Mr. Hyde, 2 people in one person (good and bad) united. The interpretation of the song by Dimash is great. He touches my heart and soul ... every time. This song belongs in Lara Fabian's repertoire. She is a fantastic Belgian-Canadian singer, songwriter, musician, actress and producer - world famous. She wrote the lyrics and Igor Krutoy, music titan in Russia (billionaire), a world-famous composer, sponsor and mentor in Russia, composed the melody. He came out of retirement to work with Dimash from time to time. They have a father-son relationship. Lara Fabian is a great role model for Dimash. Even as a child Dimash wanted to be on stage with Igor Krutoy and Lara Fabian one day ... and the dream came true of the 65th birthday of Igor Krutoy in 2019. In your dreams. 😄 He works with the likes of Igor Krutoy. Just about every artist has lyric screens, also used to convey messages to the artist. This performance is during a 3 hour concert! There are many performances where he sang only this (New Wave).

Also one thing you need to take into consideration is that this was almost by the end of a very long concert. This man gives over 2 hours long concerts (some anal people got upset over the amount of time I put here for his concerts in my original comment. My point is they are his personal concerts and as such they are long), all live, tackling some of the most vocally difficult songs (and his arrangements making the songs even more complex for regular singers to nail). Even when he started singing this song, you can see how sweaty he already was, so this was him singing this song tired as hell but yet he still gave this amazing of a performance. When you put that into consideration, then it feels especially impressive. Maybe you should react to one of his entire concerts from his latest world tour. You can find them divided in parts on his KZread channel, like you can perhaps react to his Barclays Center, New York concert. That would be great.

I enjoyed very much your interesting comments, great reaction. Of course he paid homage to Lara, he loves her. When they got to sing together, the way he looked at her... well, he is a great performer, but you don't look at someone like Dimash looked at Lara if you did not at least have a crush on her in your teens, lol. This one you reacted to is not his best version of this song, although I liked the more modern vibe of the instrumental arrangement; this gives the song a touch of something new , like the stronger drums work, and electric guitars that the original lacks. But the classical version, with composer Igor Krutoi at the piano, and full chorus and orchestra, has better vocals --> kzread.info/dash/bejne/iqR9uM2SZruvnbw.html . About the key, I believe he kept it because he feels comfortable in it. The different styles of singing ("classical vs poppy", so to speak) are something he uses a lot, and in this particular song is a way to reinforce the duality conveyed by the lyrics. In other songs he has no problems in changing the key, so it's not a matter of "I have to do it like the original" stubborness. For example the Diva Dance in his Bastau concert is a semitone lower than the original. That semitone, while maybe not very noticeable in the upper staccato runs, gives him an advantage in the rich lower notes, which are the ones where almost all female singers fail. Thank you again for your reaction and comments, stay well.

Haven’t you realized that Dimash purposely uses two different voices/manners of singing for two personalities within one body - Dr. Jekyll and Mr. Hyde? You should have listened to the lyrics. The song is bloody brilliant and Dinah sing it awesomely...even if this one is not my favourite rendition...If you find his accent too heave, then you can easily choose a version with the subtitles...I know this song by heart, so it seems to me that everything is clear...

@@ZoeStibiVocalCoach I think in this performance Dimash takes it even further in his representation of the nuances of the Dr. Jekyll and Mr. Hyde dynamic. Throughout the original book, Dr. Jekyll slowly spends more and more time as his evil persona - Mr. Hyde - until towards the end Dr. Jekyll disappears and Mr. Hyde takes over completely. Towards the end of the song, Dimash goes back into his soft, falsetto, but this time it sounds even softer and more broken. Then he returns to the strong "Mr. Hyde" chest voice to end the song. I think it's really fascinating how this seems to mirror the way Dr. Jekyll loses ground and eventually vanishes in the original work. I'd also point out, that most interpretations of the original book mention that, while the "good" and "evil" duality of human nature is a theme of the book, ultimately while the "evil" persona manifests fully in Mr. Hyde, the purely "good" persona never emerges at all. While Dr. Jekyll is often perceived as being "good," he is also flawed. So one possible interpretation of the book's theme is that the real human duality is between the veneer of "civilization" over our baser true nature. This might be more of a stretch - but I think Dimash captures this feeling well in his interpretation too. He doesn't go into his "angelic" head voice at any point. The falsetto he uses for the Dr. Jekyll character is still a bit creepy and off-putting. And in some performances, he adds an almost creepy smile at those parts at the beginning. Sorry this comment is so long. I feel like there should be a Dr. Jekyll and Mr. Hyde movie inspired by DImash' interpretation of this song (and the original work of course). :)

In a long concert the voice naturally get's tired. Still, for me, in the end of his concerts, Dimash seems much more tired that his voice:) Btw, those who have heard Dimash live say that his voice sounds better live: even more resonant and powerfull. I find that you are commenting about possible LS very often, why? Prerecordings are totally normal used in some conditions, as in TV studios etc. A singer may not have a say to that choice anyway. If he wanted to sing lower he would have done so. He make choices independently and consciously, he has his own vision and opinion. Fortunately, it goes its own way, breaking patterns and barriers. The performance is different, the 3 hours concert is different. You can hear several hours of singing in his voice, but he's phenomenal. This version is amazing, probably the best for me. Because he brings so much joy to so many, is good looking, and so kind, people feel as if they need to protect him. Half (or more) of the reactors on KZread don't sing at all, some are singers, and some are vocal coaches. The level of expertise that you and your friend possess isn't the norm. When you give your reactions, I think people feel you're attacking their Dimash. Don't get me wrong. There are some great reactors out there. I do believe though, that the largest part of the audience is looking for the oohs and ahhs of the reactor rather than in-depth analysis. I have a feeling you know exactly what I'm talking about. I wouldn't want all the criticism as a reactor but that's me. (For those who may read this and think that I'm saying there are no serious, talented listeners, that is not the case.
