Hi Liza! The video blocks are happening at a very fast rate for Dimash's songs, for some reason. Things from years ago are even being blocked. 🙁 Anyway! That instrument is called a "kobyz/qobyz". According to legends, the kobyz and its music could banish evil spirits, sicknesses, and death. It was used by shamans and spiritual medics. It is a traditional Kazakh instrument. Dimash puts his soul into everything he does. He enrolled in music school at 5 years old. He is 27 now and is still improving. The man at the piano, Igor Krutoy, is the one who composed this specifically for Dimash. When they collaborate, everything is magic. Another of their newest collaborations is "Ave Maria", but it is not the traditional or any of the other versions you have heard. Dimash asked Igor to write something for him in the style. This is the result. - kzread.info/dash/bejne/n4B7mslrn9Ksg6Q.html Edit: I forgot to say Dimash has sung in 12 languages. 😄

With Dimash to be careful, you may want to add a filter over the video. It can be a light one but then you can stop where you want. He brought in a team to handle his KZread and they can be difficult about blocks. I am guessing as he plans to go to the US maybe they are being even more careful. A filter will just stop you from dealing with all of the issues. I really enjoyed your reaction and breakdown. Have a lovely day.

He started singing lessons at 5 years old and was found to have perfect pitch. He is University educated with degrees in classical and opera, another in contemporary music, pop, and jazz was a major in Technique. He also completed a Broadway musical master class. On June 18th, 2020 he completed his masters specializing in composition and received his master's with honors having achieved the maximum score of 100%. He has since started his Ph.D. He currently has a vocal range of over 7 octaves but he is humbly dismissive of this astounding fact and stresses that it is not the amount of both ranges you have but in fact what you do with it. He has won many prestigious awards and is a decorated national treasure in his native Kazakhstan. He has performed songs in 12 different languages. He speaks fluent Russian and Kazakh, some Chinese, and is pretty good in English and Is still studying it along with Mandarin which he says is a difficult language to learn but he's doing well with it. At 22 he was invited as a wild card to participate in a Chinese singing show for professional singers. The show catapulted him to relative stardom worldwide and he became a pop superstar in China.

Dimash is the best singer in the WORLD and there are no doubts about that, his voice is a prodigy of nature and a genetic marvel since his parents are two glories of singing from Kazakhstan since he was 5 years old, he sings publicly and has more than twenty years of lyrical training and graduated from the university of music, he is a singer, composer, arranger and multi instrumentalist, he plays more than seven musical instruments and sings in more than Ten(10) languages, he is also a great performer and a great artist who lives and feels music He is not an imitator of voices , Dimash has his own style and is one of the forerunners of the "POPera" he also has a very pleasant, HUMBLE and simple personality, easy access, which makes it very easy to follow, he always travels with His family and friends is a very educated person and an example to follow, he has become known for his musical talent not for getting into trouble or scandals, It has a very wide vocal range of approximately 7 octaves ,he is a singer with a wide vocal range very versatile is Baritone, TENOR , Soprano, counter TENOR, mezasoprano, everything at the same time is how to have 5 singers in one, it has a male and female voice, also many resources such as vibrato, "melismas", falsetto, Staccato, whistle tone, reaching a( D8 )live "Outside of Piano"at the concert of Gakku in an unforgettable day, at his young age he continues to improve and grow musically to perfection, he has a good physical presence he measures 191 cm or 6 "3", he is very famous and recognized in Asia and now he is becoming known In Europe and America, ALL their songs are spectacular, it always goes from low to high, soft to spectacular at the end, in my almost half a century of life I never heard so much quality and it is the hope of continuity of the classical genre because all the old tenors have already Almost all of them died and Dimash can sing like them but none of them can sing like Dimash, being a Man he sings better than any Tenor and his female voice is superior to that of any average Soprano, greetings and a hug from Venezuela🇻🇪, "Dears" Forever ❤️👍🏻 Sorry for copying and pasting my informative comment in ALL the Video reactions to Dimash what I see but I do it with the intention of sharing information about him and what I think that in the music industry there are many artists who have been successful and have no talent and are bad people and they do not set a good example for the youth, Dimash and his music deserve to triumph in America, Europe and the whole WORLD, do you want to have already read my comment please come by without problem there is always someone who for the first time knows this information and I won't get tired of sharing it with all my friends"Dear" around the world, thanks for reading and for supporting Dimash 🙏🏻S.O.S. Another enjoyable reaction. Dimash premiered his newest song "Stranger" on August 19, 2021, during his performance at the annual New Wave music competition in Sochi, Russia. He once again performed with Igor Krotoy on the piano and introduced Olzhas Qurmanbeck on the kobyz. Igor Krutoy composed the music, American poetess Sharon Vaughn wrote the lyrics, and Dimitris Kontopoulos (Greece) and Yerlan Bekchurin (Kazakhstan) did the arrangement. It is an amazing performance, one of, if not the best to date, in my humble opinion. Dimash traverses almost 5 octaves (C2-F6) in this performance. That stunning last note is a 20-second full mixed voice belt in F#5. Igor Krutoy is quoted as saying that “it was Dimash’s talent that inspired me to write this song, his immense vocal abilities and his desire to sing for a large international audience. Franky, I don’t see anyone else who could perform this piece in such a way.” When Dimash first listened to the melody of "Stranger" he felt that the addition of a kobyz to the musical arrangement would give the song a unique, yet very fitting sound. Thus, the kobyz made its debut at the New Wave Hall at the Sochi Olympic Park, and what a great choice indeed. It is a beautiful sounding instrument that seems to underscore the song’s deep meaning. This wasn’t the first time that Dimash has featured Olzhas Qurmanbeck playing the kobyz. You can also enjoy him in a few of Dimash’s other performances such as Qairan Elim (official music video) and Samaltau (2020 Tokyo Jazz Festival). The Kobyz is a very old, traditional, and sacred instrument in Kazakhstan. The kobyz or Kyl-kobyz is the most ancient bowed instrument on earth, widespread among the Turks, Kazakhs, Karakalpaks, Bashkirs, and Tatars. It became the basis for most of today’s bowed instruments around the world, including European instruments such as violin, viola, cello, and contrabass. The Kyrgyz variant is called Kyl-kayak. The instrument is carved from a single piece of wood (typically apricot) or juniper (arsha), maple, pine tree, or birch. The instrument consists of three parts: head (bas), middle (base is keude), and lower part (ayak) and usually measures 60-70 cm. It has two strings made from horsetail hair; one to provide melody and the other resonance. The bow is shaped like an archer’s bow, and its string is tied to both ends of the bent branch and affixed with strong threads of camel wool. The New Wave Music competition started in 2002, and for nearly two decades now has been one of the most iconic music events in Russia and other parts of the world. It is an international contest for young performers of popular music. It was founded by Russian composer, performer, and music producer Igor Krutoy (seen here playing the piano) and Latvian pianist and composer Raimonds Pauls. Russian superstar Alla Pugacheva eventually joined as one of the show’s organizers. The contest usually lasts for six days: 3 contest days, 2 special event days, and the final day when the contest's results are announced and a final concert is performed. The television audience of the New Wave music competition numbers more than 200 million people. In 2018, Dimash debuted as a guest performer, performing his now legendary rendition of “Sinful Passion”. This year (2021) Dimash took part as a guest performer, as well as a judge. In this year’s finale, 11 participants from 9 countries will compete for the grand prize. As others have suggested, you should definitely listen to "Ave Maria", it is one of the most beautiful pieces of music I have ever heard.

As you review more performances of Dimash, you will be transformed when you realize your soul was touched, massaged, incrementally HEALED, and awash with emotions. I call this Dimash's "Soul Mending" which many of his Dears (his fans) experience and want more of. Truly great and honest reaction. In this troubled world we need more healing like Dimash to remind us there is goodness. The amazing thing about Dimash is that he keeps getting better and pure. He raises the bar every time. Best to you from AZ USA. Dimash channel has many of his videos with over a million views. 2017 French song SOS got him on the world stage in China. Sinful Passion shows his unique range. Love is like a Dream can show his deep baritone range to angelic soprano and is soul stirring. Ogni Pietra is his pop opera genre. Movie trailer Across Endless Dimensions is unbelievable at the end. There are so many. You will not be the same after this. He is life changing on your outlook of the music entertainment industry.

Dimash is the most skilled vocalist ever! His wide range, versatility, powerful and beautiful voice, stage presence and musical intelligence make him a genuine and unique artist. He is now a world class artist, still just turned 27 on the 24th of May but touring the world to sell out arenas with his solo concerts, (on hold until next year due to covid-19) he also performs in concerts with the famous russian composer Igor Krutoy, is constantly collecting awards, attends many prestigious red carpet events and film festivals. He is university trained in Classical opera vocals to degree level, also holds a degree in contemporary pop music and jazz with a major in vocals, and now has finished his master degree in music composition. Now he is about to start his PhD. He has been having singing lessons from the age of 5 when his teacher noticed he had perfect pitch . He was offered a place at the Astana Opera in Kazakhstan but respecfully turned it down to persue his own more contemporary musical career. He is a multi instrumentalist, more than 8 instruments and also sings in 12 different languages and has a range of over 6 octaves from a low bass A2 to a high soprano, plus a whistle register with his highest note so far being a 5 second D8 with vibrato. He is widely recognized as the best vocalist in the world. He speaks fluent Kazakh and Russian, is studying English and Mandarin and has conversational skills in both but not quite fluent yet. He is kind, humble, generous and modest, a very elegant. His Dears are his very loyal fans and we number over 70 fan clubs in 120 countries globally and number in the millions, he calls us Dears because we are so dear to him. Please more Dimash Love is like a dream, Your Love, Olympico 🎤❤️💯‼️🌹🔝👏👏👏👏👏

👉 A Dear wrote: “These are the voices of the world singing the tragedy of human migration forced by tragic circumstances.” Another Dear: “Dimash is not only a singer, but a messenger of something very deep that has been lost in music lately ... Dimash invades our soul and never leaves it.” On August 19, 2021, for the first time the sound of kobyz was heard on the stage of the New Wave Hall in Sochi Olympic Park. The tandem of Igor Krutoy (piano) and Dimash Qudaibergen (voice) with the best Kobys player in the world Olzhas Qurmanbek, have presented a new, really unique song in English with enchanting oriental melodies. The idea to add kobyz to the new song came to Dimash after he first heard the melody "Stranger". He decided that the folk instrument would fit perfectly into the song, giving it an exciting sound. The performer of the kobyz part is Olzhas Kurmanbek. The music was created by Russian song-writer Igor Krutoy (musictitan, billionaire), and the lyrics were written by Mary Sharon Vaughn (*1947, is an American musician, songwriter and producer. She writes hits for famous singers around the world) The main arrangement was made by Dimitris Kontopoulos (Greece) and Yerlan Bekchurin (Kazakhstan). “It was Dimash’s talent that inspired me to write this song, his immense vocal abilities and his desire to sing for a large international audience. Good day, New sub here just found your channel tx to our amazing Dimash. If you liked this song *which of course you did although usually, first-time reactors to him start with his older stuff like S.O.S. Sinful passion, Adagio, Hello, Love is like a dream, etc.* You really need to listen to Ave maria a full legato vocalize from the same concert. You will be blown away, he does a messa di voce that is out worldly, divine, the stuff of legends. Can't w8 for more Dimash reactions from you. Hugs and kisses from Greece, stay healthy and safe.

Dimash is a phenomenal singer, in all styles, range, octaves etc. This is a long road with a whole lot of surprises. I would suggest Ave Maria next, which is just released less than 3 weeks ago, and it already has over 3 million views….

I really really enjoyed this reaction and how you went so in depth with all of those tiny details that an untrained ear might not necessarily catch. Not only that, I love how you made it a point to let everyone know how difficult what he was doing is and just highlighting his mastery. I really hope that you react to more Dimash (hopefully in the near future)! It's so hard to even recommend a specific performance because they are just.... WOW! If you are having issues with the video getting blocked, I recommend either putting a filter over it or kind of chopping the video in half so like we'd only see the top half of it. These methods seem to have worked well for others. I don't know why these new people at Dimash's youtube are so hellbent on blocking these videos but they don't seem to care about blocking the actual song. One would think they would WANT people to react to him as it brings more exposure and new fans. In fact, I came to know Dimash from a reaction channel that did kpop reactions but got a request for Dimash and they titled it "the best singer in the world" which naturally piqued my interest so I looked up Dimash myself and now here we are.

Great reaction! I think most people commenting here would agree with me when I say that my life is divided into two parts--BD and AD: Before Dimash and After Dimash. He's spectacular and addictive. And your reaction/analysis was right on point. I enjoyed it very much. The stringed instrument soloing at the beginning is called a Kobyz. It is a traditional sacred Kazakh instrument (Dimash is from Kazakhstan) played by Shamans and healers, and reputed to be able to banish evil spirits, sickness and death. It has two strings and the musician plays it by sliding his fingers up and down the strings as he bows (he doesn't press the string to a fret or finger board the way a guitarist or violinist does), which gives it its characteristic sort of wailing mysterious tone.

Dimash was a judge at the New Wave 2021 international competition for young pop singers. He premiered 3 songs during the competition week. Igor Krutoy, the pianist and a main sponsor of New Wave, composed Stranger for Dimash's voice. Igor also composed Ave Maria for Dimash the 2nd New song. Fly Away was the 3rd new song and was composed by a Kazakh composer. Each song is like night and day from each other but are stunning and sung magnificently. Dimash has a large number of great composers courting him but he has been very careful on his choices.

New trained experts' reactions to Dimash are always amazing, and yours is one of the best. Welcome to the stunning world of DImash, haha. I'm sure you've explored a bit of his catalogue so I won't go into each and every favorite song (of which there are plenty). But so much to enjoy, from the perfectly softly enunciated "t" on "feet", to the delicious cultural ethnic vocalizations in the middle section, to the powerful, full chest voice immediately into breathy threads. Little things like his enunciation of the diphthong in again -- ag-a-ee-n, drawing notes out into delicious, legato lines. The transition from the 'yodeling' modulation, to the faster e-e-e-e, I mean, I have no words. It's really only second to "Ogni Pietra", (you'll see what I mean, haha) in my opinion, in terms of showing literally every conceivable color, timbre, shade of the voice. But can we also talk about Dimash's confidence/acting on stage? The man's always been so present in every song, in every character, but this to me was on a different level. It seems as though he's at a comfort level now on stage where he can have fun a bit, telling a story while always able to rely on that -- not to be too hyperbolic here -- but really perfect technique. Plus, the lyrics are spot-on for Dimash as it seems as though he's trying to broaden his reach, moving into new audiences, literally a stranger in a strange new land. Perfect. Perfect. Also, the ?chimes? throughout the final note, emphasizing not only its length, but also a dissonant 'strangeness' -- genius. We'll just leave alone the passionate, sweat-drenched Dimash breathily singing (lest I completely, adoringly fan-boy out even more). Apologies for the lengthy reply, but it's Dimash, and a exemplar performance at that. Thanks for the reaction! Looking forward to seeing your Dimash journey. It might be an interesting take to look at them reverse chronologically. A lot of reviewers go from his first emergence to present, but going reverse might give a lot more commentary on just how his technique has changed. Just a final must-see recommendation though, the "Fan Cam" version of "Ogni Pietra", especially for a trained vocal coach, is so demonstrative of his perfect technique and just unbelievably gorgeous voice, as the camera stays positioned squarely on his face the entire song so you can see each minute adjustment he makes while, oh, just breezing through six octaves.

I've been listening to Dimash for over a year. It is so unique in the world that all songs can be listened to thousands of times, which is what I do. And it doesn't get boring. Moreover, it is getting better and I do not see the limit. At the same time, he is amazingly scenic, passes everything through the heart. He does not have a single song that does not amaze, he does not waste his time on trifles. At the same time, a wonderful guy with a kind soul and a great sense of humor. Correctly he is called an alien. Therefore, I am not surprised by your reaction. You are smart, do more reactions. There are already hundreds of millions, if not billions of fans.
