The kids from earlier have all grown up. Dimash's character is the one who made the necklaces. He and the girl marry and have a daughter, who was killed. The kid who saved Dimash from drowning became the commander. The wife of Dimash's character dies in childbirth of their son. At the end, the son is leading all to the light. "The Story of One Sky" is Dimash's cry for peace.

@@ericzeichert511 The boy who was saved was the protagonist, the good guy. The taller boy was jealous, and bent his "compass". He never wears it close to his heart, he only flips it in his hand. As an adult, the video shows him flipping it in his hand... just like at the beach, when he first got it. The sweet boy, who was drowning, ends up back in the water in the end, screaming for life.

This is such a powerful song. I tear up every time. The 3 kids, Dimash is the soldier, the dictator is the one who saved Dimash., the girl is Dimash's wife, having a baby, The little girl is Dimash's daughter. War is hell, we choose life. I think Imagine is meaning of John Lennon. I think Dimash in the end, could be the baby grown up. Thank you for reacting to this video, It is a Masterpiece.

Hello Aron! Thank you for your sincere reaction! You were correct about it being John Lennon's "Imagine", good call! Bless you! When I first watched this MV, it broke me, I became very emotional, it was heart wrenching, to say the least! Have you noticed that Dimash is the main solder right from the very beginning of the war scene, when he was walking under the overpass, also when he was shot in the arm, many people miss that? Dimash has worked very hard for 3 years composing the music for this song, and around 20 days to make this MV. It turned out to be his most valuable MV, in the ideological sense, ever made, a real Masterpiece! I believe that Dimash deserves THE NOBEL PEACE PRIZE for his selfless hard work and tireless efforts, not only for this MV, but for trying to bring the world together in love, peace, and harmony and through his many charities. He is a Legend in the making and will go down in History. This is my breakdown of the story, as I see it: This mini movie is full of symbolisms, it's the story of 3 youths, and the necklace which was created by the young Dimash and shared with his friends symbolizing lifelong friendship and unity. The boys both loved the same girl, but she loved Dimash, so the other boy grew resentful over time, started a war, using the symbol of the necklace given to him by his friend Dimash, as the crest on his army uniform. 1) Dimash, was the boy drowning at the beginning and at the end. 2) The Piper, is the one who saved Dimash, became the leader, and was killed by Dimash at the end. 3) The young girl, who died in childbirth, became Dimash’s future wife, had two children together; a daughter who was killed by the Piper's army; and the birth of a son who inherited the necklace from his mother…, they were all affected by the war. “People are the caravan…. Life is the way”: Dimash spoke these words in Kazakh, when he found his daughter dead. For the symbolic aspects, Dimash is showing the different cultures and religions (Christianity, Judaism, Islam, Buddhism, Hindi, etc.), through throat singing, which is called the REQUIEM (mass for the souls of the dead), from different religions. The Pilgrim or (Shepard or a Wise Man) at the end of the video was Dimash’s baby boy, born in his image and grows up to guide the Representatives of different religions and race from different Nations to the light, for a new beginning living together in peace, tolerance, love, and harmony. I’M CHOSING LIFE!! 🙏🙏 See you in your next reaction. From Diane..., Love from Canada 💖🥰

Thank you for your great and empathetic reaction. In The Story Of One Sky he composed and sang the whole soundtrack himself. The video shows once again that Dimash is an absolute genius. In composing, in singing but also as an actor and as a storyteller. The powerful message conveyed by this video is more relevant today than ever. I think this video is mostly about the message. This message however, is for the first time more important than his vocal abilities. His voice is just the tool in this video. But simply unbelievable. His singing is indescribable and I don’t have the words to express it adequately. But it is only the mediator of what this video is about. This is so heartbreaking and sad and an awesome masterpiece. Pure goosebumps. You probably have to see it more than once to understand it. He worked on this composition for three years and also wrote the screenplay. The premiere was on September 24, 2022. As some have mentioned, this video should be seen by many people. It may be very brutal for some. But let’s not forget that for many, including children, this is everyday life in some countries. And Dimash relentlessly shows us how ugly war is. During his concerts he always tells the audience he loves all people in every country. He visited so many different counties with his concerts and he realized that there are no bad nations (only bad leaders). And OMG he is such a phenomenal actor. Dimash was the little boy who was drowning in the beginning and he gave the necklace to his childhood friend (and future leader) and the girl. The girl on the beach was his future wife. She was pregnant and in the end of the video she gave birth to her and Dimashs' (character) second child. The littel girl who was shot was Dimashs and her first daughter. When he came home and saw his daughter dead on the ground, he had to assume that his wife and unborn child were also killed. Desperation and maybe revenge has led him to kill his former friend. When I first saw the video, I was shocked. I didn't think he was going to shoot his friend. But in the end that all made sense. Dimash wanted to show what revenge can do. Violence always breeds violence, and because of this, not only is the leader dead, but so is Dimash. It was so heartbreaking to see Dimash drown at the end. Dimash in the last sequence of the video was the baby that was born and now as a grown man unites people of different nationalities and religions for peace. In this video you can see how the main religions are represented mostly with his voice. Islam with the type of Arabic melisma (unfortunately I don't know the correct explanation for this type of singing), Buddhism with the monks and the enchanting "Om", Judaism with the shofar and the Christian church with the soprano singing, which often can be heard in churches. If you want to know more about this video check out dimashnews. com By the way Dimash has received an award from Pope Francis personally at The Congress of the Leaders of World and Traditional Religions held in Kazakhstan on September 13, 2022. He performed the song there in connection with the congress before the premiere. Can you imagine, a Muslim receiving an award from the head of the Catholic Church. How wonderful is that🥰. He also gave a speech at the first Central Asian Media Forum, in which he once again strongly advocated peace. You can see it with English subtitles. kzread.info/dash/bejne/ZHdpl8NsndnMgKw.htmlsi=99iF8ltfNARzaZAn He is also an abassador of peace. He never get tired to advocat peace everywhere he is. He was recently appointed as a Goodwill Ambassador by the UN. IOM Regional Goodwill-Ambassador of Migration. The official live version of his concert (on September 23, 2022 in front of 30,000 people from 68 different countries) is available on his channel, Almaty concert part 3 from minute 23:15 with a short speech in which he performed the song for the first time. You should definitely see this. There are subtitles in English kzread.info/dash/bejne/i4Rl1JuwnM7TeLg.html And he's been singing it in all his concerts ever since. But always a little different. Greetings and love from Germany👋❤️

@@joselajara1037 I was there for the Budapest performance of this song and I can state that it was 100% live there and still sounded no different. A lot of people are saying this is lip synced because they can't believe he could do this live. He absolutely can. To do a lip synced performance you have to be using a mic that isn't turned on. As well as the usual tell tell signs that Dimash is singing like the dimple in his throat that appears when he's doing a mixed belt and his habit of self conducting with his fingers, a split second after he finished the last note of the metal scream at the end he accidentally knocked the mic against his knee and you heard the thunk sound through the loud speaker system. That would not have happened had the microphone been inactive.

@@joselajara1037 I'm not one of those people who insist he never lip syncs. But what I can definitely say through both being there, fairly close to the stage and watching close up fancams is that the Budapest performance was absolutely live. He messed up some of the lyrics, he slightly changed the arrangement and the accident with the mic at the end was 100% proof that he was performing this live. It may have been because this was a shorter concert and many of the songs he performed weren't as vocally challenging but he absolutely proved that he can perform this live with no problems whatsoever.

This is absolutely brilliant, as you said, and it gets more brilliant with each viewing. In addition to writing the score and producing it, Dimash came up with the concept and wrote the screenplay. It was shown first, the day before his Almaty concert, to a meeting of the leaders of the world’s great religions, including the Pope. He presented Dimash with a medal . That ending message is from the official statement at the end of the conference. Then the next night he performed it in front of a stunned crowd at his concert. That is a performance you must not miss. It does allow you to appreciate the lyrics and message along with his vocal performance in a different way. On the symbolism…. The metal piece made into a necklace is a gnomon, the vertical part of a sundial. With the hole in the middle for sunlight it can be used for navigation. Here it represents a moral compass. The “Piper” bent his as a child and has lost the hole in it in the symbol on his uniform and the podium. He has lost his way . The people in the desert are those from all religions who have dedicated, maybe even sacrificed their lives for peace and love…marching toward the light. In this vocalized section Dimash is singing all the world’s great religions. In the end, while some believe he is the baby grown up, I believe he too sacrificed himself and joined those in the desert marching toward the light. Dimash is an absolute genius in so many ways. This is his masterpiece (for now) which came directly from his heart and soul. It is so full of symbolism and there is so much going on, you did a good job with it on your first viewing

This is supposed to make you feel the utter destruction and senselessness of war. Where once we lived as friends and enjoyed life we are now adversaries killing each other. Heavy in symbolism. Not everone will understand the religious icons and the pilgrimage of ancient peoples as well as modern times. The music is phenomenal. His vocals outstanding and incomparable. Its intense. But this is something we all should be aware of that can happen anywhere. People who live in war torn countries experience the reality. Our world is in a precarious place globally and Dimash is through his art is screaming out the truth and lets do our part in preventing as much horror as possible. It kills him to see the children die. Unfortunately its a battle within human beings to restrain themselves. But we can make it less so. Dimash deserves an award for this. Quite an undertaking for person so young. Thank you for reacting to the video. Now, if you would enjoy hearing him perform the music live...check out his video from his concert at Almaty. 🤗🤗

Others will probably explain in greater detail but here are a few bullet points. The boy who saved Dimash from drowning at the beginning was the same man who grew up to be the despot. Dimash's character and the girl grew up and got married and the young girl who was killed was their daughter. To me, One of the saddest parts is that he had to face his childhood friend and ultimately killed him for what he had done and sacrificed himself in the process. Different religions of the world were represented in the people in the desert. The Torah is the book that was being read.

@@A-AronReactsDimash's message was to think for yourself and not listen to propaganda. With that sentence he was showing a prime example of a leader spouting propaganda and the people who will drink in every word believing that the leader they have chosen to follow can do no wrong even when what they say is laughably incorrect.

Thanks for this reaction A-Aron. I needed to watch it several times and read comments of people who understand about symbolism to get at least most of Dimash’s messages in this song. It’s a master peace. Here you can see that he doesn’t sing the vocalizing part to show up, but to give “voice” to every religion’s sound: the “OM”, the Muslim call for prayer from the mosque’s minaret, the Cristian bell ringing before the typical soprano singing starts, the “jodeln” used in Kazakh culture symbolizing the death … it all means something in Dimash’s creations. But I am really impressed about the symbolism of the necklace (apparently used by sailors to find the navigation path or North where the sunlight has to pass through the whole to guide them) how the tiran bends it making it unable for guidance and how it becomes the symbol of the dictator (but distorted and with no whole symbolizing the lost of North) It all is so well connected, that no wonder it took him so long to conceive it! Gorgeous!! I felt also the way you said “I love you Dimash”! If you weren’t a dear yet, no you are 10% a Dear! No doubt about it. I wish you were at his 20th birthday Concert in Istambul this month. You won’t believe your ears. You need to go! ❤ from Spain

A-Aron Dear 🫶🏽 It’s OK🥹Not to be OK. This mini movie masterpiece is a deep dive into Dimash’s soul.. I was a total mess when I first watched this. I watched it 5 or more times per day for a month.. I have seen far to many new reactors having a full on emotional meltdown.. They loose their ability to speak and sometimes never do another Dimash reaction.. They miss out on the full overwhelming message of peace.. So my Dear friend.. Prepare to revisit this mini movie.. Research the burning sign along with the words at the end.. Dimash was invited to give a speech at the Asian Peace Conference after he performed One Sky at his Almaty concert.. The Olympic level vocalisations where he sounds like a air raid siren which then becomes a machine gun.. While looking down the corridor past his neighbours bodies.. Releasing a tear when he sees his daughters body.. His screams of pain at the death of his child while his other child is being born 😭🤯😭 When you are able, watch the live performance not just of One Sky.. Watch and enjoy the whole Almaty concert that Dimash gifted to us Dears.. Watch the concert with a friend . Do a reaction video when you are ready to enjoy asking us Dears every question that popped into your mind.. Spoiler Alert.. When Dimash performed One Sky in Yerevan he had a tech failure.. I have never seen Dimash look so frustrated.. He fails as soon as he attempts the Olympic vocalisations.. He throws a Ascolta la Voce (Listen to the voice is from his performance of Know.. I adore the vocalisation version more than the performance with words) into hide his frustration.. He repeats the wrong line and misses his q for the we chose life ending… Most Dears will go into defensive mode if you try to talk about this openly and honestly.. I have watched every performance of One Sky at his most recent concerts.. I have my own thoughts about how he manages to perform this live in a concert setting.. With over 200 performances to react to remember to enjoy Dimash with friends and family.. ThankQ ✌🏽🇬🇧🖖🏼

A soldier has to fight for the LIVES of his wife and children. He has to try. It is human and survival instinct, when evil people come to try to destroy them, innocent people. If evil is allowed to destroy all the innocents, just for power, land, resources, that is intolerable.

Beautiful reaction. I sobbed like a baby at the death of Dimash's character. Even three days later, I would burst into tears. Dimash's character had to kill his previous friend (who once saved him. You know he once loved him.), trying to stop the madness. The evil Piper who killed his daughter, and his whole family. When he goes under water at the end, it is like he was screaming for all the soldiers in all of history, who were killed Against their will, their lives being cut short. Tragic.

    1) Dimash is the one who saved his friend. NOT the other way around, because HE- Dimash - is the one doing CPR!!!!! 2) HE is the one at the boat making the necklaces {You can clearly see he is the same child who did the CPR} 3) HE is the one who tried to give a "necklace" to his friend, who refused to take it, bc he was angry at being rejected by the girl. {Watch the beach scene, while "Dimash " is making the necklaces, the older, taller boy is trying to get the girl to be with him} She said no, and went back to the boat. Try watching the beach scene closely. You will see it. As always with Dimash everything is soooo well done. His voice and genius know no boundaries. I really hope u will go back to some older performances & not just his latest ones; I know you get lots of suggestions from all the Dears, its hard not to do the most outstanding performances, but there is still so much to get to. Thank you for watching this amazing talent that is Dimash.

The underlying competition of the boys who both 👦🏻👦🏻 love 👧🏻 her. Noting that she makes her choice with the thought of losing 😢 Dimash (That smile of coming back to Life. That Knowing). Then the sharing of the sun ☀️ dial as a symbol of Friends Forever (Love, Light & Time)✨ The words of the Pied Piper (leading people to war) were blatantly stupid, as they always are if you really listen to any Pied Piper (well done for pointing that out). Also, the symbol being corrupted from Love to Hate, Light to Darkness (upside down isn’t unnoticed) 🥺 Dimash, his Pregnant Wife (the girl on the beach), & Daughter are on the defensive side of the war. While Dimash is fighting, his family is helped to safety. But the Wife goes into labor, & the Daughter goes back for her treasured 🧸 Defense being only necessary because the Piper takes control & freedom from others. Forcing his soldiers with the always-present threat of "Only war will lead us to peace. Only the strongest can find love in their hearts. You must be strong enough to give the world freedom. A world where every city, every home is one. We will lead all who are ready to begin this new life. Anyone who resists has no place with us. I choose freedom. The world is open before me, and I want to give it to you. War for the people is the way to unity." Blah, Blah, Blah‼️ Dimash makes his way home to his family, only to see he is too late (the burning town sign). Calling on all the strength of Man’s ✨Spirit✨ to face what he fears in his home. Dimash - Requiem: The Story of One Sky This is really long and I get that you want to blow through it, however, it's by far the best explanation I have found. It was written by Heiderose Kober: This is subtitled "Requiem” but it is also a vision and a call to action. Dimash is steeped in sacred music and has a deep understanding of the mystic teachings and symbolism of the major world religions as well as Kazakh shamanism. It is not by coincidence that the first performance of this work took place on September 14, 2022, at the Congress of Leaders of World and Traditional Religions in Kazakhstan. The written statement at the end of the video is directly from the “Document on Human Fraternity for World Peace and Living Together” signed jointly on February 4, 2019, by Pope Francis and the Grand Imam of Al-Azhar, Ahmad El-Tayeb. Dimash met and spoke with both men at the September meeting. Everything Dimash does is intentional, and this piece has layers that would take a dissertation to unravel. I only touch on some of what struck me in the symbolism. The music is a dissertation all by itself. The pendant is an interesting element. It is a gnomon from a maritime compass sundial. This triangular blade is attached to the sundial, casting a shadow on the sundial while the perforated pinhole projects the image of the sun onto the dial. It was used for both timekeeping and navigation, with the gnomon oriented to True North. (Thank you, Snarky Tart for that information). In the MV, (the taller child) who later becomes the military commander, never puts on the necklace. After Dimash, (the drowning boy), gives his friend the pendant. The camera focuses on his hand and shows that his friend has bent the gnomon in anger over being rejected by the girl (later Dimash's Wife and the mother of his daughter who is killed). Thus bent, it can never be oriented to True North, and he has lost his moral l compass. Later, we see a version of the gnomon as the military insignia on the uniforms of the commander and his soldiers, but distorted and without the hole that allows light to shine through rendering it useless as a compass. When we lose the original intent of a symbol by twisting it into something it is not or by just paying lip service, it no longer has any spiritual meaning. At best it becomes a useless prop, at worst it is used to mislead and manipulate people. Contemporary music is also present: With the phrase "We have passed the moment of Imagine," Dimash reminds us that we are past the sentiments evoked by the song "Imagine" by John Lennon. It is time to stop dreaming about a world of peace and harmony. If we choose life, if we wish for peace, if we want a world without war for our children and grandchildren, we must act and take up the long hard path up the mountain towards the light. It is the only way. The storyline is a very human one: we start as innocents until our hearts are broken, we fail, or our dreams are not realized. If in our pain and disappointment, we turn to anger and blame instead of acceptance, power instead of love, greed and envy instead of generosity, hatred instead of forgiveness, and revenge instead of justice, we sow the seeds for conflicts that can turn into war. The Piper's call is seductive as it promises redress for our grievances, control over our circumstances, and power over those who thwarted us, and this appeals to our wounded ego. However, let's remember that the Piper is a symbolic figure of Death from the Middle Ages, often used as a metaphor for trusting and following charismatic but dangerous and malevolent leaders to certain death. Even if we resist, as the adult Dimash character does, we often employ the same methods and weaponry as the Piper, and thus those who fight back betray peace as well because peace cannot be won through violence. That is the dilemma of those of us who did not start the war, who do not support the war, but are forced to respond in order to defend ourselves and those we love. How can we rid the world of evil without becoming what we fight against? The burning sign "Waldenberg" is a reference to the end of WWII when the US Army destroyed the last of the resistance by the German Wehrmacht close to the end of the war in April 1945 in the part of Germany where I grew up. I have seen the aftermath of war as I was born a few years later when much of Germany was still in rubble. Waldenburg is only 28 miles from my hometown and was completely destroyed as you can see from the picture. Many of the dead in those bombed-out buildings were women and children. The good guys defeated evil but at what price? War is not the answer. We must find better ways to keep evil in check. iowaculture.gov/.../American-troops-move-through the last movement is powerful: The cries over the loss of a beloved child and the cries of giving birth to new life are presented as a call-and-response grounded by a powerful Om chant that creates a sacred space, reminding us that death and birth are both sacraments and are interwoven in the tapestry of life. Dimash's vocalization and the pilgrims representing world religions and religious leaders, past and present, walking together shift the narrative toward the final conflict and finally redemption. When Dimash’s character decides to avenge the murder of his daughter, his state of consciousness is reflected in the darkening sky with lightning bolts of anger accompanying the storm of his emotions that buffets the pilgrims and hinder progress. The fog of war obscures the light. When he is killed after exacting retribution, he is dropped back into the "sacred womb" of Earth, the ocean of love and mercy, and is cleansed of the old hatreds and grievances that only bring more death and suffering. He breaks the wheel of endless war and suffering by choosing life. Dimash's scream of “we’re choosing life” is that of giving birth: the old earthly consciousness of an eye for an eye has to die to make way for a new spiritual consciousness that embraces all life. Soul is breaking free to return to its natural state of love and purity as exemplified by the images of the children and the newborn baby. The blowing of the shofar signals God's mercy for humankind when it turns from wrong to right: in the Zohar, the book of Jewish mysticism, it says: “When human beings repent of their sins, they blow the shofar on earth. Its sound ascends On High and awakens the heavenly shofar, and so mercy is aroused, and judgment is removed.” Reborn as a leader for peace and love, Dimash's character in the form of his son becomes a spiritual guide for all of mankind on our shared journey up the mountain towards the light of God, however we may interpret or name the divine. We are all on the same path, even if our personal narratives, cultural heritage, race, and spiritual orientations are very different from one another. By focusing on our common destination rather than on our differences, we can walk together in peace and love and mutual respect. Carl Jung wrote: “Knowing your own darkness is the best method for dealing with the darkness's of other people. One does not become enlightened by imagining figures of light, but by making the darkness conscious. The most terrifying thing is to accept oneself completely. Your visions will become clear only when you can look into your own heart. Who looks outside, dreams: who looks inside, awakes.” This is what Dimash has done with this work; he has made the darkness conscious. We can only raise our individual and collective consciousness by bringing to light what needs to be healed in our lives and our world, and then we need to work together to restore wholeness to what is broken and bring about peace and unity, one step at a time. We don’t have to wait. We can start right now. As the hymn tells us: "Let there peace in the world, and let it begin with me." Baraka Bashad.

He's definitely referring to John Lennon's "Imagine". However, unlike Lennon & the message of Imagine, Dimash is not atheist. In a recent interview, he stressed the importance of "believing to God", but the song rightly implies that religion has been the cause of much war and atrocity. I'm sure he's not against atheists, on the other hand, I think Dimash has a general love for humanity. What I think Dimash is really saying that we should do, the main way he is saying that we should save the world is to "stop the trailing" - stop following these pied pipers, these politicians, corporations & military, in this obscene mentality that justifies "collateral damage" and killing people in general. Military service has become such a time-honored tradition in every country, it is almost considered sacred. Dimash's character here is an unwilling combatant, while the dictator (the older boy who saved Dimash in the beginning) truly believes that war is the way to unite people, by forcing unity through fear and coercion. His ideology is the cause of this war, which Dimash is forced to fight in. His character's is the only legitimate justification for the military, the need to respond to an aggressor who is forcing conflict. To me the last legitimate war was WW II, because Hitler, with the Japanese forces threatened the entire world. And it probably could have been avoided, had the right actions been taken earlier. That's just my opinion obviously. Humanity banding together through the UN and creating a world government will just result ultimately in a bigger dictatorship, and a digital one at that. The billionaires who control everything will still be in charge in such an effort, which has been underway for a long time now. People all over the world, legitimately desiring peace have often misplaced their hopes in this approach. But I think Dimash is correct: what is really needed is for people everywhere to simply stop obeying and following these leaders, when they are telling them that war is necessary. And unity needs to be on a grassroots level, with people communicating, just the way we are now. Not with gigantic global political movements. People don't have to agree on everything, just that we need to respect each other and not resort to violence. People need to stop considering war as normal and inevitable, and resist it with everything they have.

I hope he isn't against atheists. What a thought. Many of the people who attend churches are atheists. They just go follow their family and society, so they aren't shunned or attacked. They have to live in that society. They don't want to be persecuted.

Hi, friend. With love from Russia. You should see a live performance of this song to appreciate the vocals without being distracted by the video. A live performance of this song, highlighted in a separate video, can be found on the fan cameras filming Dimash's concert in Alma Ata. The best video of the live performance of this song is on Dimash's channel, it was shot by professional cameramen, but not cut separately. Dimash - Almaty Concert | part 3, starts at about 24 minutes, immediately after the song "The Story of one Sky" there is a new song in Spanish, the composer of which is also Dimash. kzread.info/dash/bejne/i4Rl1JuwnM7TeLg.html The military dictator is a friend of the main character, he saved Dimash as a child, but then held a grudge against him, because he was also in love with a girl on the beach, but was rejected by her. The murdered girl, according to the plot, is the daughter of the main character (Dimash) and a woman giving birth to her second child. Dimash killed a friend who saved his life and therefore returned to the beginning, that is, he lost his life again. Dimash's second child, according to the predictions of wise people, should become a leader who will lead peaceful people to the light, so people saved the woman so that she could give birth to a son.

❗HISTORY. CAN NEVER BE DONE 200 years ago Franz Liszt composed the first Symphony in shortened form, a Tone Poem, they said so intricate, demanding, the last. Dimash composed the second , wrote a screenplay, acted it, sang it, put it in movie format, distributed it and made history. Within weeks, at their invitation, Dimash spent 3 weeks in LA with David Foster and leading executives and artists.
