My favorite bridge pickup. It's so versatile and I like how it's chunky and tight. It's great.

The king. You can not go wrong with the SD. I am 61, and have played all my life.I have chased tone forever. Tried everything many times over. There are lots of great pickups, but now, at my age, I would say the super distortion is absolutely the best. The standard. There are very good reasons why classics are timeless.

Damn! What a great video! The Super D is my all-time favorite pickup. I've had more luck with it than any other pickup in countless guitars. It's a very versatile pup as well as being adaptable. I had a friend who used one in a strat that he'd use one night for a hair band back in the 80s then the next day he'd play a wedding or bar mitzvah and it covered all the territory. Has a terrific clean tone when split or parallel as well. It's the Swiss Army Knife of pickups. It does everything and does it well.

Hey thanks man ,glad you enjoyed it ! Totally agree on the split tones ( never tried it in parallel) . Drop one of these into a Hss strat setup and you can cover everything 👍

@@andytones7481 Parellel is cool if you want something halfway between single coil and humbucker. I like it for fuller sounding cleans, but I don't use it as often as I used to. For cleans I just like to coil split and combine with a coil from the neck pup, usually an Air Norton which has an all-around great clean tone.

The king is still 👑 and always will be. The Gibson 498t is the kings right hand.
