Im excited to start brewing some Mastemon lists. I was dissapointed when EX6 first came out in Japan cause it seemed like people posting lists for it were few and far between, with everyone caught up in 7 Demon Lords hype. Hopefully more people try Mastemon this time cause trying to figure out the ratios for it is gonna be fascinating for me to puzzle with.

I'm so ready to update Mastemon! That Gatomon, LadyDevimon and Angewomon is good. So many ways to play Mirei Mikagura. That Diaboromon support is pretty decent too.

While the new Mirei doesn't gain you memory I definitely love that it basically lets you end of turn DNA now.

Loving the support these two are getting. Just a little annoyed Mirei is a secret rare. Kind of fun timing as Rustmarrow showed off the Ex6 Mastemon deck and let’s just say that bt16 Salamon is a menace. The Diaboromon stuff is great and makes me glad that I purchased that premium Bandai set

It's interesting! I think Mastemon was formerly stack dependent but now with an ACE there's a lot of control elements that are now included.

I'm super excited to play mastemon it was the first deck I won competitive locals with and I find the deck super fun.

As a dia player, these aren’t broken but def better than what we have. Even with the new searcher, it still might be too slow. Will probably have to find a way to squeeze in mem boost praying not to bottom deck all arrata

Curiously, is it necessarily a problem to use Defense Training? It is cheaper and you can find both Digimon and Tamer.

@@DIGI-PANDA oh you definitely do. i meant also use mem boost. Defense training and the one searcher we have now are not enough. Decks are too fast

My hot take unpopular opinion is I wonder if Diaboromon would still be so popular if it wasn't just "the first movie villain". I've never seen a Digimon with so little character become a fan favorite. I feel like so much of his groundswell is just "I saw him when I was a kid and he was scary ooh". It feels a lot like people who just think Mewtwo is the end all be all strongest Pokemon just because it was the strongest back in Kanto and any time we get anything that goes above it they cry "power creep" and "disrespecting the original".

Granted the English dub had some creative freedoms with the release. I still enjoyed it but I do wish we had some real Dark Masters support and it wasn't just Apocalymon.

Well, there are different cases, but i think Diablomon really wouldn't be as popular if it hadn't appeared in the movie. It would likely still be my favorite because my interest in Diablomon came from Digimon World 3 instead of Our War Game, tho lol

theres 2 that are black currently the sec atk+ diaboromon and the diaboromon ace so when ex6 comes out theres gonna be 3

Really want to upgrade my Mastemon, have kept it well kept and everything. But Secret rares even in 3 copies is a little awfull. Any advise? I suppose i have to just buy singles if I am aiming to a singular deck of the box.

It'll be a singles route. Luckily, because EX6 is a smaller set, you have more opportunities to hit it.

Honestly, Diaboro isn't good until the next set. BT17 Keramon and Infermon are AMAZING for the deck.
