Great video!

I have a 1999 International Alec Digger Derrick. I was wondering if anyone could help me with getting an idea of proper stowaway of the auger system and what type of hook mechanism is works best mcable/chain attach to on the auger for stowaway.The original hook for stowaway snapped off, have welded other mounts on auger but they break off as well. Is there an advantage of using a strap versus a chain? If anyone may have a video link or suggestins I'd appreciate anyone's help or advice.

All diggers (thats I’ve ever seen) use a strap to stow the auger.. I’ve been a lineman for about 20 years.. the slings are much more compact and will wrap around more tightly, and be more compact when stowed... plus you dont need a heavy chain swinging around while the auger is in use and people are on the ground working.. also - being near power lines - it always better to not have something conductive when you dont need to.. the sling is just a much better choice all around.

@@kctyphoon same,I want to be a lineman I'm only 16 but the power company was outside my home placing a new steel distribution pole and the digger derrick had the same cable to stowaway the auger

The operator needs training 😂😂😂😂🤦‍♂️

Whoever is operating the Digger needs to take the general safety training required by ANSI and OSHA!!! Terrible operation!! very UNSAFE!!! the guy talking in no better!!!
